A list of puns related to "East Bernard, Texas"
Welcome back to another unsolved murder from Suffolk, the bottom half of the pigs arse (for a brief explanation if you didn't read my previous post: the UK looks like a lady riding a pig, Scotland is her head and hair, Wales the pigs head etc, East Anglia (Suffolk and Norfolk) is very much shaped liked the pigs arse).
As mentioned previously, Suffolk is easily accessible from London, and Suffolk's second oldest unsolved murder which is still being reviewed by Suffolk and Norfolk Constabulary goes to show this.
In 1967, Bernard Oliver was a 17 year old warehouse worker, living in Muswell Hill, London, with his father and five siblings. On the evening of the 6th January, Bernard left his home to spend the evening with friends. He didn't return home that night, and his father reported him missing the next morning.
On the 16th January, a farm worker called Fred Burggy found two abandoned suitcases behind a hedge in Tattingstone, Suffolk (roughly 80 miles away from Muswell Hill). Upon opening the suitcases, Bernard's body was found inside. It had been cut into eight pieces.
The post-mortem revealed that Bernard has been killed via strangulation prior to being dissected, around 48 hours before the discovery of his body. He had also been sexually assaulted.
Not only was this case notorious as one of the most brutal murders in Suffolk, it gained infamy for another reason. The police had no idea who the victim was, so they had photos of Bernard' decapitated head published in the press⦠which is how his family discovered what had happened to him.
After his family came forward, more details about Bernard emerged. His brother Tony (13 at the time of the murder) who shared a room with him stated that Bernard often talked of moving out, and occasionally spent the night at friends houses but had always returned. Bernard had also been sighted in and around the Muswell area after his disappearance, but the people who saw him were unaware that he had been reported missing.
After Bernard's remains were found, Suffolk Constabulary launched a major murder investigation in both Tattingstone and Muswell Hill, with the assistance of the Met police. During the first four months 2045 statements were taken by the police. As well as efforts being made to establish the origin of the suitcases. One of the suitcases bore the initials "P.V.A" and a hand towel found within one of the suitcases had a laundry mark. Other physical evidence included a brand of matches found in Bernar

500 Pfizer vaccines that need to be distributed today. From a neighbor who received this message from a friend that works for FEMA:
βIf you know anyone who needs a vaccine and would like a Pfizer vaccine, our mobile unit is at a site where the CBO (Community Based Org) didnβt make any appointments and we have 500 doses so, word of mouth for today: St. Bernards, East 17th St and 62nd Ave.β
Originally from PA but have been living in Boston the last 10+ years. My job is letting me work remotely as long as I stop by an office in Philly every once in a while and the Valley is close enough for me.
I'm looking for an area that has good schools where I can get a big house (>4 bedrooms, around 3k sqft) and a backyard for <=$600k. Not looking for rural or urban. From some research it seems like the two areas that would be best for me would be Lower Macungie (Wescosville, East Texas, maybe lower Whitehall) or Nazareth (lower Nazareth or right near the borough).
I'm not actually familiar with the area though and don't actually know anything about the 2 spots. I'm assuming they're both good places and everything, i'm just just trying to figure out which is better. Assuming I can find a similar house in each and they have similar schools, I guess the important thing would be proximity to fun stuff and how bad traffic is. Fun stuff for me is mostly food and shopping.
If you're familiar with either area, can you share your experience? If you're familiar with both, what would you say are the main differences?
About to buy a mattress from them but wanted to see if anyone has any feedback/personal experiences with their mattresses
I found this stone structure on a hike about 2 miles off trail. Walking the creek I had found an old medicine bottle I have had dated to 1870, walking up the creek I then found a large pottery shard (perhaps insignificant am doing research) and then farther down I discover the stone structure. It is about 12ft long beginning at the ground with a slight vertical slant then plateuing. It's about 3ft wide and 3ft high. I am not sure if it is fully enclosed with brick all the way down but was able to clear off some of the top exposing stones all the way across. This area is known for Caddo Indian's but I'm not familiar them utilizing stone mounds. Not even entirely sure this is native American but do know it is old.
