A list of puns related to "Earn Paycheck"
I'm short on rent and need hundreds of dollars in two days. What are ways that I can earn as much money as I can before my first paycheck? I have around 100 dollars but need around 800.

Correction I earn 18500 a year. I work in the NHS which is what I thought that kind of money would go towards but the NHS is crumbling. Public transport in my area is dire, food on shelves in supermarkets are empty children are in poverty and people are living on the streets. It's crazy to me how high low income earners are taxed considering the counry is in bits.
I work at an underwear store, so naturally we deal with some creeps and odd people every so often. Some people get really creepy. We have a few young ladies working here, both of which I'd say are very good looking. As a 22 year old guy, I totally get guys checking girls out. But at the same time, have some damn respect and don't make it obvious. I'm so tired of these middle-aged creeps coming in and telling me they don't need help, just to walk right past me and go ask the girl for help. Then they proceed to laugh and make unneeded small talk. Some take things too far, like flashing their underwear while "asking if we carry that model". It's disturbing to say the least. Sometimes I'll be stocking a shelf and I catch a glimpse of this poor girl staring at me, as if silently pleaing for help. I always step in because if that makes ME uncomfortable, I can only imagine how they must feel.
Usually, I'll try to be nice. I'll say "anything you need help with today, sir?", or something along those lines. Most of the time I get a snarky "no" or "she's helping me". I'll then respond by telling the girl "don't you go on lunch break now?". Then she goes to the back while I finish up with the creep. There was one incident where this guy kept pestering a girl for her instagram. After getting denied several times, he finally left. Later that night, she got a follow and DM from that guy. He kept harassing her all night asking why she never gave him her insta or whatever. He showed up at our store one day asking for her, so I told him that I was only going to warn him once to leave, and that if he tried to do anything to her I'd make sure he'd regret it. He left and never came back. Ever since then, this girl wants me to walk her to her car at night because she's nervous about it still.
It's really pathetic that on top of doing my job, I have to look out for my female coworkers.
I'm at the point where I'm so done with retail, that I don't care about losing my job. The next creep that tries to harass or touch my coworkers (beyond acceptable small talk, etc) will likely be getting a fist to the jaw.
As mentioned, I'm a PhD student, so my income comes from a variety of stipends and grants and TA contracts, and it's really hard to find a good way to budget, let alone save or invest anything.
My yearly income is ~$21,000.
The amount I get from each TA contract is variable, and depends on how many TA assignments I have. So it can be either ~$700/month or ~$1300/month.
If it sounds confusing, it is. And I've had a lot of trouble making any sort of consistent budget just to cover my monthly expenses, let alone save money or invest it.
If anyone has advice for how I could begin to manage my income better, it would be very much appreciated. I'm sick of living paycheck to paycheck.
I started working on July 19 and Iβm quitting on august 16 and will be receiving paycheck on 10th of august. I hear u also ur paycheck amount gets taken off due to taxes. I also donβt know how much I earn per hour too.
I feel like I managed to move a mountain, but in reality I just earned enough money to eat until the end of the month and refill my hygiene products ( everything was literally empty ). There's no like things that help people with food ( those insane coupons I see in America or organizations that donate food ), so I got no help and family of course didn't help me. I am very extremely happy to be able to accomplish it, and I wanted to share some positivity. Having no consistent paycheck is problem for me so I'm anxious about the food mostly and rent, so it's an enormous relief I know I will eat. Wishing you never life this life.
I would not hire most of the American workforce if I had to write a check for their work. I don't mean 60% of US workers are slackers. In my observation its closer to 95%. I get that some people work for places where too much getting done creates issues, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about people who can't even do enough to justify their paycheck. I've worked at places where you had to put in 60hrs a week and this isn't in reference to that either because those people are dead on their feet. I'm talking about people who realistically have a reasonable schedule, a livable salary, and still don't measure up, and probably never have.
EDIT:
Most objections seem to come from 3 mindsets:
FU, I work plenty hard! (I never said YOU didn't)
FU, you can't draw broad statements from your own narrow experience (fair, but look at when US construction workers have had to compete directly with immigrants, total domination. Also look at school testing. We are getting soundly beat up in head-to-head competitions with the next generation of white collar workers from other countries).
FU, workers get screwed too much (true, and I tried to eliminate the obvious cases of the chronically underpaid or overworked from my example)
Not financial advice β¦.
Apes?
