A list of puns related to "Dxo Labs"
Hi!
If I use vintage lens for my Sony Alpha is there a way to manually apply Lens correction in DXO Labs? I wasnt able to find anything like this.
It is automatically detects my lenses and camera, but when it comes to adapted lenses I cant add lens correction manually, is there a way?
Thanks.
I am very curious if they ever found out if different digital sensors do actually have a reduced DOF as was implied in this article: DOFMAGIC
I don't really care for opinions on why or why not you think it matters or why fast glass is still superior.
I just want to know if there was any technical follow up to come to an actual conclusion that senors not capturing marginal light made a real measurable difference in the effective DOF of these lens.
Iβm looking for a few decent presets to use for the next month and a bit until I can get into my local photography group darkroom. Nothing permanent, but I am after something pretty good, I donβt mind if theyβre paid as long as theyβre worth it.
Does anyone have any suggestions? If this is a dumb idea feel free to say so or point me in another direction, thanks!
Edit - Thank you all for the suggestions! I will be checking these out today
As you will see in this post, I have a lot of OLD stuff. I currently use PS CS4 and Nik2 on a very old laptop to edit photos from my Nikon P90 (various Nikon/Sigma/Tamron lenses) and my Panasonic FZ80. Photography is a hobby not a livelihood. I have a new laptop with Win11 and no CD drive. I don't have the budget nor interest in justifying Adobe's subscription model and if I am honest with myself I really don't use PS much more than for the Nik plugins as it is when I do edit photos. DXO has PhotoLab but it looks like it prefers RAW and may be overkill. I stumbled upon Affinity Photo looking at the compatibility lists for NikCollection4.
After looking at the Affinity site, I can see this may require a completely new way of editing/workflow etc. than PS but what I am looking for is something that would allow me to do cropping/color correction/etc on JPGs and it seems like AffinityPhoto can do that. The price for AP seems great. I would prefer to have NikCollection integrate into something other than standalone mode which seems to use TIFF. I will be shooting JPGs most of the time but would like to have RAW as an option.
How steep of a learning curve is AP compared to PS? Does anyone have experience with AP and Nik together? Is there something else I should consider?
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
This topic has been frustrating me. I'm really unsure of the proper way to process my raw image files before running them through photogrammetry software. Typically, what I've been doing is color correcting (using a ColorChecker card) and, sometimes, adjusting exposure before converting my raw files into 16-bit TIFs.
I'm interested in producing models that can be used for academic research, so I'm really concerned about whether what I do in raw processing has a negative impact on the accuracy of my models.
In some tutorials, I've seen people turning down highlights and turning up shadows. I understand that this will make more information available to the photogrammetry software, but could it affect model accuracy?
Recently, I purchased DxO PhotoLab 5 and I've tried out the DeepPRIME denoising. I've also noticed corrections for vignetting, chromatic aberration, and lens sharpening. I know I'm not supposed to use distortion correction, so I know to not enable that. However, what about the other settings; is there any benefit to enabling those or should they stay disabled?
Does anyone know of any published raw processing workflows for photogrammetry?
Again, I'm concerned that some adjustments may be suitable if one is producing gaming assets, but not suitable for producing models that may be used for collecting research data.

Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat

We told her she can lean on us for support. Although, we are going to have to change her driver's license, her height is going down by a foot. I don't want to go too far out on a limb here but it better not be a hack job.
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.

Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
But let me give it a shot.
