I'm switching over from the Dual Shock 4 and after getting my new Game Boy colored Pro 2 in the mail the other day I was disappointed to find that my Kontrol Freeks from my Dual Shock 4 are slightly too big to fit securely on the analogs of the Pro 2.
Don't get me wrong, they do technically fit onto the Pro 2's sticks, but they are way too loose for my comfort to do any type of competitive gaming with... unlike when they're on the DS4 where they're nice and tightly secured onto the sticks, on the Pro 2 they can be pulled off the sticks with zero force. So I just can't trust them to not pop off the stick in the middle of an online match or something.
TLDR: I either want to replace the sticks completely with longer ones(if there's any 3rd party companies that make long replacement sticks) or put the real DS4 sticks in there. Are either of these solutions possible? Or are there Kontrol Freeks out there that fit tighter on the Pro 2 analogs?

It's been on my mind lately as a project I was wanting to do, something pretty simple to start with in terms of making a custom controller. I thought it would be a simple switch-around of internals and body shells because of how the housing design for this controller is pretty much the same as the PS2 and even PS3 controllers. However, I'm not so sure if it's actually that easy, seeing as how there are some differences like button placements / sizes between the different controllers that would make fitting everything in nicely a bit challenging.
I just think it would be pretty neat to at least try to make it easier to handle the controller without the massive-ass cable stuck to it, and considering all the funny little things Sony did with the controller's design before switching to their DualShock series (such as the odd concave hard plastic joysticks, or the longer handles / grips) I think it makes the old PlayStation controller unique enough to try to modernise a bit, kinda like how PowerA remade the Gamecube controller for modern day devices, and 8bitdo's controller lineup.
That being said, does anyone think it's actually a possibility to switch out a PS2 or PS3 (preferably 3) internals with the plastic shell of an original dual analog controller? See the picture for which one exactly I'm talking about.
I'm looking for twin stick shooters on the service. The one I've found is Everyday Shooter for PS3. I am looking for others.
My plan is to use these games to get new gamers used to using the analog sticks simultaneously.
As veteran gamers we take for granted how second nature it is, but for people who haven't played games since 16 bit era it's actually a huge adjustment.
The other 2 games I found that is potentially helpful is Ape Escape 2 (left stick move, right stick swing your weapon/net) and Katamari Damacy.
Are there any other good recommendations for games that use this kind of analog stick configuration? I found that first and third person shooters can be intimidating to new gamers especially having to control the camera and POV with the right stick)
Is there any way to bind the analog stick to the mouse4+mouse5 button? (Alternatively to bind any controller button to any mouse buttons)
I've just started to use ds4windows and I dunno if this is a possibility. If it is possible, it would be perfect in my case
Hello,
My company recently gifted me a Pi 4, and I'm looking to turn it into a portable retrogame console. Are there any kits out right now, or have been announced, that have a horizontal form factor with dual analog sticks?
It seems like LemonPi by LemonCrest has been in development indefinitely, and the N+ Digidock 2 also looks like it won't come out into mass production for a very long time.
There also doesn't seem to be any new news on the PiBoy XRS.
Are there any alternatives aside from the ones listed above?
I use UTC for work and it's great to have that at a glance, but I find most of those faces have a very Casio G-Shock look to them. Looking for something with the Premium Analog stock face vibe, but with UTC.
Is it mainly ports such as Quake and Half Life? And PSP games? But from my understanding those doesnβt always run well on either systems.
Just trying to figure out how big of a deal just having a second analog stick is. Thanks!
Just wondering this as I've put together a functional DS3 controller from spare parts but the analogs a tad too soft. I have a few PS2 spare controllers for parts and was wondering if I could salvage those or even take them from no-name PS2 controllers.
