A list of puns related to "Dog Grooming Names"
I just started a small local business, Zen Dog Mobile Spa, servicing canines in the capital region. Iβm based in Albany, and accepting new clients within a 10 mile radius of the city.
Mobile grooming is a luxurious and great way to paper your beloved pup. We are different then shop grooming because we come directly to you, work one on one for an express groom, use the most premium shampoos and conditioners personalized to skin & coat needs, and give your dog all the love and snuggles and time they need to have a zen and low stress groom.
Iβve been grooming in a shop for the last 20+ years, and I am really excited to go mobile and bring a more calm and chill grooming experience to dogs in the capital region. Check out my website zendogmobilespa.net for contact information and pricing, feel free to reach out and tell me about your dog and any questions you have πΆ π.
Hi all! Iβve been a dog groomer going on 4 years and Iβm looking to transition to a work from home position.
Leaving dog grooming due to unrealistic expectations, desire for change, and some compounding health issues (31 with the back and wrists of a 90 year old). Currently make about 70k and would like to stay somewhere near this.
I would like to work from home as I think this would be best for my health and was wondering where to look for work. Prior to grooming I worked a variety of office jobs and I hold BA degree in philosophy.
I realize I will probably need to invest in education in a new area.
Any suggestions are welcome!
Friend finished up her certification and is ready to get started - she just needs a name!
Small and medium dogs, preferably someone who cares about style of cut, not just all-over cut. Willing to travel to West Seattle - as part of regular service area, or for extra travel surcharge.
Please let me know your recommendations! Thank you.
Been thinking about my career and how there just isnβt anything that interests me enough to spend my whole life on. Then someone suggested to me that I become a dog groomer, I loved this idea because I love dogs and I wouldnβt be able to be a vet because I couldnβt handle euthanasia and stuff. My only concern is the money, different sources say different things about how much groomers get payed. Could someone tell me if it pays well?
Hey everyone!! Iβm a student dog groomer over in Levin, just wanting to put out that Iβm here and very keen to groom any dog! My Facebook page is Designer Dawgs with a purple logo. You can contact me either here or on Facebook for any more info.
We all know Shih tzus need to be groomed frequently. How much do you spend on grooming per month or per year? I think groomers are very expensive and Iβve been grooming my dog almost exclusively at home.
Just curious if thereβs any of you guys around. I havenβt actually met another man with my job. Dog grooming seems to be a pretty female dominated career for the most part. Always get weird looks when I mention it.
Hi there,
I have just recently started dog grooming in a shop where I pay 50% of every dog I groom to the shop owner.
Iβm just wondering if this is the normal rate or what others are paying?
Thanks in advance!
Any recommendations for pet grooming. I have a yellow lab thatβs stinking up the place π€’
Open to Mobile groomers as well
Hi, first time posting here..
So I just brought home a rescue dog from Korea on Sunday; a 1 yr 9 mo old Jindo/Akita cross and he's been adjusting very well so far... no destructive behaviour, no separation anxiety, walks well on leash, no resource guarding. He follows me around the home, lets me brush his teeth and groom his fur, and obeys simple commands.
We have an 11 yr old Bichon at home. They met at a park they've never been to, sniffed each other, went home, etc. and SO FAR UP UNTIL THIS POINT have been relatively fine with each other. I feed my Bichon first and the Jindo lets the Bichon eat first without trying to steal his food or push him aside. They walk together on leash, sit next to each other a couple feet away on the rug, and take treats at the same time. We watch them closely. There was a prior incident where the Jindo was lying on his bed at the foot of my bed between the bedframe and the wall with very little space to pass by, and when my Bichon tried to walk by the Jindo growled at him. After this, there were no further incidents between those two until what happened today.
Just now, my wife and I were opening a dog-treat advent calendar for the dogs; we have two calendars one for each dog. I gave the calendar to the Jindo first to let him sniff it, then my Bichon came over to see what was going on. Suddenly, the Jindo barked and started growling at my Bichon. We separated them and gave them their treats separately. After that, they both went back to the carpet and sniffed around.
Suddenly out of nowhere, the Jindo leaps onto my Bichon and has his mouth around the latter's neck, snarling and growling. The Jindo didn't toss the Bichon around; more like just pinned him to the ground. Of course, the Bichon is yelping. I immediately pull the Jindo off and pick him up while my wife picks up and hugs the Bichon, who yelps in fear for the next minute straight or so. She examines the Bichon's neck and he is completely uninjured; no punctures, redness, rash, or scratches. I talk to the Jindo in a very stern voice to let him know I am upset and this behaviour is not tolerable, then after we have held them both for a few minutes and talked calmly to calm them down, I put the Jindo down.
This is where it gets weird. As soon as I put the Jindo down, he goes over to the Bichon in my wife's arms and starts sniffing and licking his fur. At one point, the Jindo gave the Bichon a few small nibbles like he does when he's cleaning his paws and legs. The
... keep reading on reddit β‘My pup is 7 months old Japanese/German Spitz who has a double coat but Iβve heard some conflicting information concerning a dogs double coat.
I know youβre definitely not meant to shave a double coated dog so I was just looking for someone to trim his fur (around his tail area) and cut his nails , but all the groomers Iβve gone to say that you that they would have to shave him or do a process called hair pulling where they literally pull the undercoat out so they donβt overheat in the summer. Neither of these seem correct and I donβt want to take advice from a groomer who says itβs fine to shave a double coated dog when Iβm 99.9999999% sure thatβs not what youβre meant to do. I live in Australia, so it can become quite hot (but not extremely so) and he has yet to shed large amounts of fur. Everyoneβs saying itβs cruel not to do either of these methods but they just donβt seem correct. This post is mainly for some reinsurance that Iβm actually doing to right thing but If you have any tips it would be greatly appreciated.
