Before Monday opens I just want to do an After Action report in the wake of the Jan 7th Pearl Harbour attack we just sustained. Some peeps tagged me asking to do a follow-up of my last sus-themed DD since Friday’s IV pump-n-dump + basket cover played out much as we expected.

While +7.32% is by no means a Bad Day, it wasn’t the start of MOASS we were teased with when the AH price action started ripping over 30%. .\/.

In hindsight it is now clear that the WSJ was a FUD bomb, targeted to steal RC’s Thunder of an impending NFT marketplace launch. The barrage of ham-fisted MSM articles the day after deriding the NFT Marketplace was more confirmation this was a straight-up hit job.

But at what cost?

So, was it worth it?

I’m going to take the unpopular opinion side of this here and say that RC was wide open for this torpedo attack. All the Loopring tweets, the job postings, the SMRT comments, dropping hints for weeks on end was like letting a wet dog loose in the house. They could have put Loop under a tighter NDA. No tweets. They could have used a third party instead of hiring through their main website. They could have done a lot more to keep their secret weapon under wraps until it was ready to launch. They could have put their GitHub code in a private repo. And they absolutely should never have expected the MSM or SHFs to play fair. Unless the whole NFT thing is actually bait, RC 5D Chess, this has lost much of its impact when it does eventually get announced.

Fortunately, pre-empting the NFT announcement will do nothing to impair it’s actual long-term financial impact, we can still expect GME to add another billion or two to it’s annual revenue over th

So we used to be NC with my parents shortly after my son turned 1 and now my husband remains NC and my son and I are LC over 3 years later.

I’m now pregnant with twin girls. When I told my family one of the first things JNMOM said was “Two?!? You are going to NEED me” with a hopeful/desperate look in her eye. I replied with “We’ll be alright.” I had been worried she’d see this as a fresh start and its not. My husband broke his silence to speak on the phone for just a minute for congrats.

So my dad texts me and tells me to work on figuring out a way she can help. JNMOM has always been allergic to animals and has developed asthma in the last few years. I am also allergic to animals but can tolerate some dogs, so we have 2. I’ve been told by my dad that was inconsiderate to JNMOM before. My house, I’ll do what I want. When she came to help with my son before she stayed mostly in his room and had to go home because the one dog at the time set off her asthma. Which worked out bc she had just informed me she decided to extend her stay (didn’t ask).

So since I can’t cure asthma or allergies, I’ve already considered all possible options (including the extreme) and responded there was no solution, I’d bring them by when they were more stable or they could visit and we’d do something outside. Ever feel like it’s a chess match and you need to anticipate every possible move? But thought I squashed it for awhile.

So then after a few weeks of relative calm I had 24 hours of just nonsense from them. First, my dad texted me asking if I’d picked names. He said “I am going to say this - don’t pick your Nana’s name over your Mom’s name”. I told him (as I’d already told JNMOM) we were not looking for any input at all. So of course he’s sent to deliver that message. I told him we had a name I picked back when my son was born if he was a girl and that was one of the names. And if they recalled, the middle name is after my Nana. I let him know we would not be changing that name or the other name, which was not after my mother. He said NP. Squashed for now.

Then my JNMOM started texting me on a group text with my dad about helping. I repeated what I’d told my dad. She said she knew it was extreme but what if we boarded the dogs and she paid for a deep clean so she could come in the house. I told her I’d already considered it but a deep clean wouldn’t get the couches, carpet, or vents so it wouldn’t be enough. But

Today my STBX dropped off the kids after having them for a few days. He told me yesterday he would be dropping them off at noon. When 1:00 arrived I was a bit worried. All my texts to him were answered with 1 or 2 word answers. That is strange for him to do. I get a text at 1:45 that he is on his way and that the AF is with him. Ummm, what? I was never informed that she would be here with the kids. I have no idea if she has been here the whole time or just flew in today. I was furious. I don't care if it's her or anyone else; I want to know who my children will be around. Period. Full stop.

So they arrive and I let her into my home. While he sorts through the mail she stands awkwardly in my foyer. So then I say, "I will just tell both of you since you are here, if the kids are going to be around her or anyone else, I want to know. I support your relationship and I'm happy you (AP) are here with them, I just want to know beforehand and not after the fact."

He looked offended. He smushed his face almost in disbelief. She stood statue still and refused to make eye contact. I understand her position. The Before Times

What does a drop day look like in 2022? A lot different from how things used to be, and not just because of times wot are unprecedented. Before Nike SNKRS, before Adidas Confirmed, before the site bandwidth nightmare that is Supreme New York Dot Com at 11am, getting the fashion pieces one wanted was beautifully simple. Things operated on (old) concert ticket logic; if you want it, line up. How early do you line up? Well, how badly do you want it?

TL;DR: Oh yeah, I’m going in deep with this theory. I’m confident I’m right on the money with this one. Oda has been teasing this guy just a little too much for him not to have a major comeback. My analyses below.

I’ll kick things off by pulling a clip from Chapter 544, where Blackbeard and Crocodile exchange some dialogue during the riots at Impel Down:

Crocodile questions Blackbeard’s motive behind accepting a warlord position only to then immediately throw it away. Not 24-hours later, he sees firsthand what Blackbeard had planned all along. And succeeding where he had failed at least twice, which was in killing Whitebeard.

Rewinding a bit on this same chapter, when Blackbeard is speaking to Luffy about how he became a warlord, he notably slights Crocodile. Talking about him as though he weren't there. A “dis” that is not lost on the former longtime warlord:

A proud, overconfident man like Crocodile wouldn’t let such a sign of disrespect go. And doesn’t.

Just a few pages later, Crocodile slights Blackbeard right back, after questioning the man’s plan:

Okay…so, so far…I managed to point out why Crocodile is NOT the Tenth Titanic Captain.

Don’t worry. I’ll get there. I’m well aware Crocodile is an arrogant bastard.

Crocodile has also been shown to be quite the pragmatist. I mean…he did offer to help Luffy break back out of Impel Down and get to Marineford…mainly, because he wanted to go there, too…

I just feel like the author thought about how the Devil would operate in the mortal realm and BAM Eros came to be. I'm not a big smarty pants so I can't really go into much detail on like how he's written etc but I can tell you what I like from my view of things

• He's arrogant and can back it up with actions
  • Everytime our FL's manage to take one step forward our boi Eros manages to make them take 5 leaps back it feels. He can get what he wants and knows how to get it
• He never dirties his own hands
  • He's got no issue with killing, blackmailing, torture, extortion and all that nasty stuff but never leaves a trail leading to himself even though it's clear as day who did it, finding the evidence or lack thereof is part of why I love this dude
• He's a godlike manipulator
  • He holds the world in his palm and he plays everyone like a game of chess
• God complex
  • He truly believes he's the main character of the world he lives in, everyone bows down to him, everything he wants he gets and it's a given. He's Eros, the crown prince and soon-to-be Emperor the world is served to him on a silver platter and he's not afraid to stab the guy next to him to get anything else he desires
• He's basically the classic ML except he's the bad guy
  • I mean, everything from his looks to his personality is basically a twisted version of the royal heartthrob (except we haven't seen him shirtless), So many of his tropes feel reminiscent of other ML's and it's kinda glorious
• I like his eyes
  • This one might just be me okay but I do like that they went with white eyes. It gives him a far more ominous vibe, especially since we're all used to the more classically "bad guy eyes" used for ML's and his white eyes just radiate this unease, like they're not quite right. At least that's just me.

Those are just some of my ranty thoughts on why I like Eros, it just seems like every chapter I read makes him more of a unstoppable threat to the FL's which is crazy since our FL's are no slouches
