We made a thing. If you are like us, you sometimes struggle to explain and "sell" your new campaigns to your players, well, struggle no longer!
A great way to get players on board and to demonstrate your vision is to create a "campaign bible" (like a "show bible" but for an RPG/DnD). Our guide is (we hope) a handy outline and checklist for making bible for any game or setting.
We used Chris Perkins' document for "Valoreign" as our guiding star. We even threw in a couple of our old campaign bibles to see how they stack up against Perkins'. Here's one for an "Orcs are Mongols" campaign and another for a Age-of-Sail Spelljammer game.

Had a long, kinda drunk conversation with my husband just now tonight (full disclosure, super drunk now). He was raised Jewish, but his father was atheist. He was complaining about having to do a bar mitzvah, learn Hebrew, wear a yarmulka, etc….I was like dude, did you worry about the devil pulling you down to hell for thought crimes? He was shocked. He’s like, what church teaches that literally? I wish I was so ignorantly blissful. I was raised in a nondenominational church that took the Bible literal and know I’m not alone by any stretch.
I used to pray to have my sexual thoughts removed, but I was horny. Fuck, the naked Jesus with abs hanging in front of the pulpit was enough for my little teenage hormones to pump during services. I would pray and beg for forgiveness to “god” for fucking my boyfriend in high school. “He’s the only one other than my future husband I promise!” Pathetic.
It’s so sad that anyone growing up with religion has to feel dirty and sinful for just existing as a mammal. It took me YEARS to get to where I am and I still feel like I’m recovering. Anyone wondering about where Orwell got his ideas - look no further than the fucking church.

Okay, so this girl I know from high school is getting married. We're both 22, for reference. In our senior year of high school she got pregnant, with baby daddy A who will be referred to as Adam. Her super conservative parents kicked her out and she ended up moving in with a friend's family. She barely graduated high school. The only reason she did were because of the generosity and support of our teachers and students who volunteered to help her, which is how we met. We were in the same law class in the morning and she had the worst morning sickness that really affected her ability to be in class. So, I took extra notes for her, tutored her, and brought her her stuff if she hadn't come back by the bell. I wasn't the only one who did stuff like this for her and I know she really appreciates all the assistance we gave her. She had the baby a month after we graduated.
She'd signed up for a 911 dispatcher course for after high school because where we live it's a good steady job, with opportunity for certificates and promotions. But she didn't realize how intensive the course would be and had to drop out. She started working at a grocery store bakery, just until she had a better plan. Adam started an apprenticeship while working part time at a hockey rink, and proposed to her literally the day of her eighteenth birthday, and brought up marriage because "it's the right thing to do" (I don't really agree with that but this isn't about me) and she was always refusing.
She started cheating on him after a while (we're all 19 now), and eventually leaves him for another guy because... She's pregnant again and it is far more likely that this guy, baby daddy B who will be referred to as Brad, is the father of the child. Neither of them can afford lawyers so getting any kind of custody agreement is a mess, and then their parents got involved and they did 50/50 split (still not made official). She has the baby, that does turn out to be Brad's, and everything is okay for about nine months, when she finds out Brad has been cheating on her with his TA. As the vlog begins 4/5 of the LaBleach Fam is at an outdoor shopping mall with a carousel. Most notable was Z, who is being raised in a world where Covid apparently doesn’t exist, putting his mouth on some plexiglass while waiting to get on the ride. In other hygiene observations, P was actually holding hand sanitizer. They’re taking “Propsie” to a whole new level (“Give her hand sanitizer to hold so they stop talking about how dirty we are,” Sav or Cole, probably). Posie also sanitizes her hands after riding the carousel, and we hear Savannah saying safety first. Honestly it’s just funny coming from someone with a horrible take on Covid safety precautions, masking, the vaccine, and especially given the fact that she has thrown parties all throughout the pandemic. Minor stuff, but hypocrisy is real. The kids then eat frozen yogurt.
Next up is a paid ad in which Sav is advertising Function of Beauty. Interesting given that she’s way into Monat and it can quite often be seen in the background of her pics. I know someone can find these pics to send to Function of Beauty! Sponsorships are supposed to be exclusive, right? Not to mention her extensions that are often very noticeable (though she claims they’re out).
Next up, Cole, Sav and her Lhasa Apso ponytail (no offense to Lhasa Apsos) are in bed, which is honestly such a weird place to address a big audience from. They inform us that it’s very windy outside, just in case we hear their p*rn set mcmansion shaking.
They’re using this video to catch up with us because Paighcheque can’t exist unless they exploit her from the womb. Anyhow, Sac is halfway through her pregnancy and not showing. She is so small and don’t you forget it, but she wants to start showing but also tiny baby girl. They have an anatomy scan soon.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Kenneth Cook – Is he really human or is he a cyborg of “JW.BORG?” Seriously, he seems like an android, devoid of emotion and dry as the memorial bread! Brother Cook was essentially bred at Bethel, arriving in 1984, just a few years after baptism. It is unclear if Kenneth Cook is actually part of the “overlapping generation” as the other 7 GB members claim to be. KC was just 22 when he came to Bethel and would have been 29 or 30 when Fred Franz died in 1992. Was young Kenneth already nibbling on the crackers and drinking the wine at that time? If so, that would have raised some eyebrows.
Brother Cook climbed his way up the theocratic ladder primarily working in the printery and Bethel Office. He wanted to work in the Kitchen, but they already had too many cooks. Dad joke! At least now he can prepare “spiritual food.” In 2009, he was transferred to Patterson Bethel where he worked in Writing Correspondence, a governing body department. He would be very well aware of Watchtower’s embarrassing involvement with the United Nations. When I worked in the switchboard, we had a manual with specific instructions to route calls regarding the U.N. scandal to Writing Correspondence. And if there were any questions about doctrine, such as why Watchtower sticks to 607 B.C.E. as the date of Jerusalem’s destruction by the Babylonians, we would route that sort of call to Writing Correspondence as well.
Regarding interaction and conversations with Brother Cook, I would describe him as introverted, quiet and a tad socially awkward. His wife Jamie is a lovely person, warm and bubbly. If it wasn’t for her, Kenneth would likely be a SWB (Single Weird Bethelite). Overall, he is the most low-key governing body member who will likely not do or say anything too outlandish.
Mark Sanderson – He may be single but he’s not ready to mingle! This future “Bride of Christ” has remained a Eunuch for the Lord. Some speculate that he is an NPG (Non-Practicing Gay), but he never gave off those vibes. His “eyes are focused on the prize, not the thighs”! Seriously, the only worldly things that arouse him are fine European meats and cheeses, a 1530 original Tyndale Bible and Russian “persecution porn”.
