We've noticed a recent large increase in posts and comments promoting "Dreadmaw" and other dinosaur cards and products. We'd like to remind you all that this violates rule 66 of this subreddit's rule as well as Reddit's own site-wide terms of service, because they are effectively dinosaur products, even if you promise not to use them in nefarious ways. Because this is an area with potential consequences for the subreddit as a whole (violating Reddit TOS can get a subreddit shut down) and potential real-world legal consequences (because making Dreadmaw Magic cards is illegal), we have to remove these types of posts and comments, and take action against users who post them.
NotC's public statements are also relevant here, because while they do mention "Dreadmaw cards" they give a clear definition (emphasis added by us):
>A Dreadmaw card is most commonly a creature with the name "Colossal Dreadmaw" written on it with or without a marker. Dreadmaw cards are 4GG 6/6 Dinosaur with trample; they threaten life total and if you feel the ground quake, run. If you hear its bellow, flee. If you see its teeth, itโs too late. Fans use Dreadmaw cards to roflstomp online plays before building out a Dreadmaw deck for real and bringing it to a sanctioned tournament.
This excludes basically all "Dreadmaw" that people try to pass off as "just 6/6 dinosaur cards", since typically the intent of the person posting it is to have a card that looks extremely similar or even indistinguishable from the equivalent genuine card.
Because of this, we have AutoModerator set to remove any post or comment which mentions any type of Dreadmaw card, including "Dreadmaw", and any mention of places where such items can be obtained. Users sometimes attempt to work around the AutoModerator filter by using other words or alterin*g words, but those get removed too. As our subreddit rules state clearly, this is not something which is typically handled by a warning or a temporary timeout. Because of the risk such posts pose to the subreddit and to all of us, the usual response is an immediate permanent ban from /r/magicthecirclejerking
For the same reason, our subreddit rules also forbid certain "altered card" techniques which involve replacing the entire front of a Magic card, which go by many names (such as "foil peel" and "digital alter"). Posts of those types of cards or techniques are handled in the same manner as posts of other Dreadmaw cards.

My daughter will be turning 6 in June, so I have plenty of time to thrift/craft/and otherwise prepare for this. A few weeks ago I asked her what kind of parry she wanted and listed a few things. "Dinosaur" and "tea party" were sequentially listed and she's sticking to it. I have a few ideas but would love to hear any other suggestions. Thank you for your help!

My brother found out I have T-Rex stamps and he LOVES dinosaurs and likes to share random facts. So he wants to use some of the stamps on dinosaur cards with dinosaur facts.
The T-Rex stamps are US forever stamps which is why the offer is US only. Weโre planning to do 4 dinosaur cards.
