A list of puns related to "Dhl Supply Chain"
Morpheus Network founder Dan Weinberger and his good friend Roger Crook, former CEO of DHL Global and current Morpheus.Network advisor, took some time to discuss the complexity in the modern supply chain and how Morpheus.Network brings order to the chaos.
Roger explained that todayβs supply chains are extremely intricate β there are a lot of bottlenecks, particularly in ports, due to the many players involved and the lack of conformity in their datasets.
There are many complexities and challenges involved with moving containers through a port. Everything has to be captured in data, either electronically or on paper, and shared efficiently. Advanced technologies like Blockchain and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) are critical to streamline and automate the physical shipments of goods and to overcome the existing pain-points that slow down the supply chain, such as email and the scanner. Bringing data from many sources into one uniform location and format is needed to coordinate the symphony of different stakeholders involved, including:
When black swan events occur, like a giant cargo ship stuck sideways in the Suez Canal or a global pandemic, the supply chain can quickly break down to where no one knows what to do or where to source their parts. This last year has shown that the worldβs supply chains are not resilient, leaving the door open to future crises that could be avoided. Now, we are building proactive solutions which provide companies the protections they need for when things do not go as planned, such as automated insurance claims.
In port systems, it is all about the data. Our middleware is perfectly equipped to bring all the various data points of a port system together into the same platform where we weave all the segregated processes into a single immutable digital footprint on the blockchain. Itβs similar to what we are doing with SENASA (the government of Argentina) for their chemical certificates. We provide the coordination of all those different companies, including the flow of chemicals, the certificates themselves and where the chemicals are being distributed. The blockchain notarization ensures the data is original, untampered with and time-stamped accordingly.
We are very prou
... keep reading on reddit β‘I have 2 offers for a supply chain internship this summer and a tough time deciding which to take. I am currently a junior at ASU studying Supply chain and Finance.
The DHL position is in the San Fransisco area in which I will have to find living arrangements. I also have never been to the area. I would love to work there for the summer but do not want to be "stuck out there". I would be working directly with inventory control manager at what I believe is a research/distribution center for Lam Research. Obviously DHL is a well known 3PL with a great track record.
Nikola Motor Company which is attempting to create zero emissions vehicles has been caught up in a lot of fraud and Im worried that it wont look as good on a resume compared to above. I interviewed at the facility which is very nice and only 15 minutes from where I currently live. I also connected with the manager who I would be working with and think that he is a great guy who has worked with Tesla and other great supply chain companies in the past. They also mentioned that I could work part time after the summer and that they were hiring the interns in retrospect of hiring them full time in the future. I am a firm believer that the important of trucking/distribution will only become greater and think the future may entail trucking with out gas. I think it would be interesting to work for a start up of sorts.
The job description is listed below:
Help establish and manage Nikolaβs Supply base to ensure the best Suppliers are selected to support all development, prototyping and production activity
β’ Lead all RFP/RFQ activities for your respective area and clearly communicate Nikolaβs expectations
β’ Work with legal team for contractual discussions with suppliers (Supply Agreements/NDAs/Terms and conditions/SOWs)
β’ Analyze supplier proposals and negotiate all aspects of the quotation to drive down the total cost of ownership and ensure world class pricing β’ Recommend and effectively present status, sourcing and spend discussions to leadership, for multiple programs that meet the business objectives and timelines
The official position is purchasing intern. I have heard that "purchasing" in supply chain is one of the more lucrative paths for supply chain, I don't know the full truth behind that though.
Any input/opinions/advise would be greatly appreciated
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 59%. (I'm a bot)
