Whenever I play Town of Salem using only random names, whenever I get Deodat Lawson as my name, it's a bad role. And I've killed a lot of Deodat Lawsons and they are always bad too. Discuss?

He would have moves based on different roles, combining them into one character.

"Deodat Lawson Hangs Out!" would be his tagline.

Alright.

Neutral special: Vigilante - Cannot be used within the first minute of the match. Shoots a very fast and powerful bullet in a straight line, but can only be used 3 times per match. Additionally, if you hit your ally with this move in a Friendly Fire match, Deodat will automatically SD.

Side special: Witch - Shoots a magical projectile, and if it hits, the target is controlled by you for 3 seconds. You are stationary while this happens, so other fighters can still hit you.

Up special: Guardian Angel - Deodat gains wings to fly him up as a recovery, and a white light protects him from knockback while he's doing this.

Down special: Arsonist - Shoots oil in arc out a can. This douses its target. Once all enemy players are doused, the move changes to Ignite, which deals a powerful remote attack to every enemy.

Up smash: Necromancer - Uses the up smash of a random fighter who has been KO'd in the match. Fails if no-one has been KO'd.

Side smash: Juggernaut - An attack that starts off with low knockback and 10% damage, then with each KO via this move, it gains 10% more damage and increased knockback, until capping at 50%.

Down smash: Janitor - A broom sweeps downwards at the opponent. If it KOs them, their score/stock and percent/stamina indicators disappear from the HUD for the rest of the match.

Grab: Jailor - Bars appear around the opponent, trapping them. If any Pirate moves are used, the bars disappear.

Pummel: 321 - Numbers appear to repeatedly damage the opponent.

Forward throw: Execute - very powerful axe launches opponent forward.

Back throw: Pirate Rapier - Skewers the opponent backwards.

Down throw: Pirate Pistol - Shoots down at the opponent.

Up throw: Pirate Scimitar - A curved up-right trajectory with a sword.

Neutral aerial: Mayor - Reveals Deodat as the Mayor. He gains 3 points/stocks extra, but he can no longer shield or roll. Other Deodats' Vigilante bullets are always drawn towards him, too. Only gains 1 extra point/stock if the mode is less than 4 minutes/stocks. Also disables "Doctor" move.

Forward aerial: Serial Killer - A short slash with a knife, similar to Mega Man's Slash Blade.

Back aerial: Godfather - Launches the word "sus" backwards. The opponent it hits is bussed, so they take 1.2x damage and knockback for the rest

Okay, this guy is showing up in EVERY single one of my games. Like, every single one. He never even bothers to change his name, and it's not even a GOOD name. I've seen people make fun of the name he's that famous/infamous. What is the deal with him? He has WAY too much time on his hands, and ALSO, my brother was also playing ToS the other day WHILE I WAS TOO, IN DIFFERENT GAMES, AND DEODAT LAWSON WAS IN BOTH OF THEM. YEAH. BOTH.

Somebody needs to ban him, he's multi accounting and he probably has bots as there is NO WAY a REGULAR HUMAN BEING COULD PLAY FOR THAT LONG. So, Mr. Lawson, I have something to say:

I sexually Identify as a Good Townie. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of sneaking through the Town at night and shooting Deodat Lawson in his stupid, mafia face. People say to me that a person being a Good Townie is Impossible and I’m fucking retarded but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a first year med student perform an ametuer lobotomy on me and provide me with the weapons necessary. From now on I want you guys to call me “Goodie” and respect my right to kill the revealed Mayor as long as his name is Deodat Lawson. Greetings, and, as you might see from the title, my name is Deodat, a retired Investigator, you see, I wasn't from this town, I was born in another, less populated area, I lived there, retired, and soon decided I should move to Salem, as I heard the folk there are very welcoming.

But this isn't about how I moved to Salem, in fact, this is about the war that occured over here.

It all started some few days ago, although it feels like months. I was minding my own business, when, all of a sudden, someone knocked on the door, saying that there will be a town reunion this day, right now. So, I went to the center of the town, where we would see people being lynched for crimes.

I asked "Well, what is going on?" and John Hathorne was quick to reply "We have heard of witchcraft being practiced on our town, along with plans of murder.", scaring some people. "So, if you see or hear someone suspicious, do not be scared to talk to us, from this day on, we will have daily meetings, until further notice, you all can leave now, but tomorrow, we will begin lynching." John followed up, and, soon, everyone went to their individual houses, and, I decided that I should help in the investigation, and come back to my job, of course, anonymously.

The night comes, and I reach out for my piece of wood and my mask, making sure to not reveal my facial features. With a swift push, the door opens, and I, armed with my piece of wood, go to Cotton Mather's house, the town's well known old man. Making sure not to make any noise, i open his door slowly, then make sure he is not woken up, and, thankfully, he was fast asleep, so, I quickly decide to fuss with his stuff, and, I quickly find the evidence needed to prove he is one of these three things:The swift spy, being able to stealthily hide from anyone, and know their deepest secrets, a dirty blackmailer, working for mafia, making sure their targets dont speak one bit, or the brute jailor, making sure any and all evildoers that are not punished by hanging, will have 10 holes filled with lead on their chest.

Being contempt with my findings, I go to my home as sneaky as a fox, writing my findings on my last will (as most people in this town have one), then proceeding to go to sleep.

So I've played Town of Salem for awhile now 88 wins 69 losses but it was over time and I feel like I don't fully understand all the mechanics and thats just classic, I know there is a steep learning curve when you go ranked so I want to master classic before and then start to learn the other roles. I want to play games like ss13 and barotrauma but they are harrrrrrd so is this but in a better way so any advice is appreciated specifically I need to work on wills and not talking myself into a corner my best option as sk at the moment is normally stay as quiet as possible and write a med will something like that but its hard to put more than n1- nothing as med... -ErikTheBeserker

Here are the objectives of this puzzle, from least to most difficult.

In order to complete these objectives, you are given only two sources of information: time of death for each player, and all of their nightly feedback messages. Each role only appears once in the rolelist. No role is from the coven expansion.

• Your target will bend the law to enact justice. They must be a Vigilante. Someone attacked you but your defense was too strong!
• Your target could be a Bodyguard, Godfather, or Arsonist.
• You have (1) self heal left. Your target was attacked last night! You were shot by a vigilante! You have died!

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

The Blackmailer, an expert at silencing people, can prevent someone from talking for the day. Sided with the Mafia.

Abilities:

• You can blackmail someone at night. Blackmailed players are prevented from talking during the day; they may only say "I am blackmailed." once when voted up to trial.

Attributes:

• You can read all the whispers, even when dead.
• If there are no kill-capable Mafia roles left you will become a Mafioso.
• You can talk with the other Mafia at night.

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
