A list of puns related to "Decca Navigator System"
The car is driving totally fine, I donβt notice anything weird. About half the time I start my car up it says βCheck Brake Systemβ and βAdvanceTracβ and the ABS light and brake lights come on. It doesnβt always happen, only sometimes.
Just trying to determine if this is a simple fix I can possibly handle myself or if I must take it in. And should I take it to a mechanic or a dealer? What could the issue be?
If you were to give tips to patients while navigating the health system what would they be?
Example for me: As a front desk person, I know that the best way to get in with your PCP is by calling at 8 AM. At 8 AM the schedulers are sitting down with their coffee, and looking at the MyChart cancellations that came in over night. They are doing their best to fill them out. So they go down their list of patients that either need to be triaged and having a nurse call them, or calling anyone whose been needing an appt recently.
Ours at our clinic are pretty efficient and by 8:30-9:00 they have that schedule filled out. If you call at 8 AM, when we open, they will take the opportunity to toss you on the schedule since you are talking to them right now, rather than go down the list trying to get ahold of people.
Any tips you think people should know about?
1961 Decca re-issue. "Decca" multi-color logo on label's left side, "rainbow stripes" on label's right side. Catalog number "23439" with a second line underneath the catalog number "(73797)", all in silver ink
The main identifier of this record is the change of the lyrics from the original 1949 release. The original lyrics mentioned "cigarette trees", while the 1961 re-issue had more child-appropriate lyrics talking about "peppermint trees".
I am looking for this record as a Christmas present to my mother. She had this record as a child and has mentioned multiple times that she dearly loved it. It would mean so much to be able to present her with the opportunity to re-live a fond childhood memory.
Was listening through the "remasters" of the Decca audition recently, when they were notoriously rejected before they were signed by EMI a few months later, and I was struck with a thought:
"Gee, if I were the Decca exec making the decision to sign these guys, I might have just signed George Harrison or reworked the structure of the band to feature George Harrison."
I had listened to the audition thousands of times before, but I just had the realization that all of George's songs are the tightest. He sounds the best, and least nervous (in my opinion). It's interesting because the Beatles story goes that George Harrison didn't really come into his own until the later years, but I feel like the audition is pretty solid proof that he was a pretty solid player/performer very early on.
