A list of puns related to "Dec Vms"
Due to the fact almost the entire original WinNT team came over to Microsoft from DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation), including their main man David Cutler who was instrumental in the design of Windows NT, as sourced by the book Showstopper!. In that book it is also stated that Windows NT's design kernel-wise was influenced by the various OS's Dave Cutler worked on at DEC, presuming this means VMS, and also RSX-11.
Judging by the fact that almost all of the original Windows NT team in '89 and '90 were from Digital (They were even referred to as the "Digital Tribe" within Microsoft) is it possible that Windows NT 3.0 and subsequently later versions of Windows NT were either heavily influenced by VMS or possibly even in the same familly as VMS? There are source leaks of Windows NT 4 however as of now I don't know of any OpenVMS source leaks. (Despite the name, OpenVMS isn't FOSS)
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I will be as succinct as I can:
Have been a Mint customer for over a year. Usually get the 12-mo. plan for both my husband & I. Costs us a total of over $450 - but it saves a couple hundred a year compared to our previous phone service (and with two little kids, that extra money definitely comes in handy). The first year with Mint went fine - service wasn't EXCELLENT, but for what it cost (and financially saved us), it was fine and we had little to no problems (we live in Massachusetts, for the curious).
Service renewed early Dec. 2021. Started having problems with our service. Data was fine, but texts and calls kept getting screwed up... incoming calls would go right to our VM (our phones wouldn't even ring), and we'd get the VMs hours later. We couldn't always make outgoing calls - would get the error message 'can't connect to mobile network' (even though we had at least a couple bars showing on our phone signal). Couldn't always send out a text. Would sometimes get texts from other people hours later (if at all).
(For the record, we both have the Samsung Galaxy A31)
Went back and forth with Customer Service reps a few different times. Tried restarting the phones (sooo many times), removing & reinserting the SIM cards, resetting/adjusting the network settings/APN... nothing has helped.
One of the Mint Reps looked up our address and informed us that there was some kind of outage in our area since the end of November (! ...Thanks for letting us know, guys), and that they were 'working on it'. I told them that my son has special needs (true story), and we couldn't afford to be missing calls/texts from specialists, doctors, preschool, work, etc. We NEEDED our phones to work. The Rep was flippantly like, 'Yep, well... you need to wait! We're working on it!' (Repeated the same thing a few different times, no other info given, then Rep rushed to end the chat since they had nothing else to tell me. ...So I'm supposed to just hold my breath, twiddle my thumbs, and just 'wait' for service to return while people can't call me??)
I got our account and PIN #s, told them I wanted some kind of refund because we've had 'service' for only ONE month this year since the renewal, and other than data our phones pretty much don't work. I was told that they couldn't give us a refund, they referred me to the terms and conditions. So we're out over $450 for this year if we switch services because they refuse to give us our money back for service that DOES NOT WORK

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

MMAT has just come back from CES. With everything they've displayed and talked about at that time, it effectively dispels the KC Fake Short Report.
MMTLP has likely made progress (they said to expect something in Early Q1 2022 (in their Dec 3 update) - that's towards the end of January). We haven't heard much from them, so I'm guessing they will have something very positive for us in the next 2-3 weeks. The shorts know that as well, so they will be attacking to suppress prices.
George has indicated in Sterling Stock's interview that he cares deeply about the Torchlight Oil & Gas assets : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVmTutme3SI&t=1718s and they are "trying to capture the maximum value for MMAT and those who have the dividend"

A community that defines itself like this is not a confidence-inspiring place to get stock picks to YOLO your next paycheck into. I think, being the only place where losses are celebrated as much as the wins should make you seriously question the incentive of folks who are making the recommendations!
Whether itβs for the insane YOLOs posted every day, or breaking Robinghood with infinite leverage plays, or the legendary short-squeeze involving GME, here is where the action goes down!
But what I am interested in is to see if we can beat the market by using the stock picks made on wallstreetbets! After all,

Data
Redditβs PRAW API and Pushshift API were used to obtain the data for this analysis. There were more than 20 million comments and posts made on WSB in 2021. I have had a VM running for collecting the live data from all the financial subreddits since Decβ20.
The summary sheet containing the analysis will be shared at the end in a Google sheet but if you want access to the full historical data, you can get it from Pushshift API.
Analysis
Ahh, this is where it gets tricky. There are multiple ways to consider what constitutes a recommendation from WSB. Since there are millions of comments, itβs not realistic to invest in each and every recommendation made on the subreddit.
So what I have done to simplify this is to calculate the most popular tickers for each day [2]. Why I settled on this logic is because a stock from this list is what a person is most likely to see when he/she would randomly browse through the subreddit and the higher the number of mentions, the more the chances of investing in the said stock.
Considering the practical limitations, I kept the cut-off at the top 10 stocks. Once we have found the top 10 discussed stocks of that day, we invest in them at the market close. Then we calculate the returns generated by the stocks over the next
a. One Week
b. One Month
c. Till Date ( From the date of investment to Today)
The benchmark for c

This is how wallstreetbets define their community. For those who donβt know, r/wallstreetbets is one of the biggest stock market communities in the world having more than 11MM+ members. Itβs where millions are made and lost every day on outrageous bets and the only place where losses are celebrated as much as the wins.
Whether itβs for the insane YOLOs posted every day, or breaking Robinghood with infinite leverage plays, or the legendary short-squeeze involving GME, wallstreetbets is where the action goes down! This video sums up the absolute chaos that r/wallstreetbets is.
