Dead As A Doornail Puns

Picked this up DOA. No charge. Tore down and battery was dormant. Even so, I should have had some current draw when plugged in; Zilch. Swapped a brand new battery in fully charged; Nothing. Plugged into a computer; Zip. It's just dead as a doornail. No water damage. No signs of physical damage.

Picking up ipads with minor issues is just a hobby, but i'm a full time non-mobile tech. I can microsolder on a moderate experience level. But i'm not equipped with boardview or any of the common mobile repair libraries. I do have some parts from other repairs. Any pointers are appreciated. I did search. Most information available pertains to mini 1st gen. Unsure of the topology differences. Thanks.

I'm probably too far away from hot zones right now. I have 15 minutes left on a 2 hour shift and I haven't got a single batch, which is fine because I'm watching my friend's kids right now and didn't want an RI. The app still won't let me end my hours early without an RI. Lol.

The title pretty much says it all. After not even one hour my players beg for oxygen and I am not even sprinting all that much. I'm playing a 41212 formation, the narrow one. You can check my team here

Woke up this morning to a dead X5V6 (purchased about ~10 months ago). Pressing the power switch has no effect on the laptop at all, no lights turn on etc. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Kind of hoping it's a power supply issue and the battery has run empty during the night, but worse scenarios come to mind :/

SB648 died in committee today. This is the best outcome, under the circumstances, for us. The fact that Glantz also wanted this was secondary to what was really going on. I will do a full write-up about today in the next day or so (and so will Sallie). For the time being, I'm going to zone out a bit because I've been advised by many not to write lengthy items when under the influence of a few celebratory drinks. :-)

Noticed that the RingPro was no longer functioning, no lights and no ring tone when you pressed the button. The device itself was not event powered on. Touching the RingPro I noticed it was very, very hot. Checked the Ring app and it said the RingPro was offline. I proceeded to disconnect the RingPro from the power for safety reasons and let it cool down.

The next day I decided to reconnect it back to the power to see if it would work. It didn't. I tried to do the "hard reset" and that didn't work either. The RingPro started to get hot almost immediately, which was worrying. After researching the net for ideas, I discovered that the RingPro has a micro USB port on the left side covered by plastic and a little glue. I decided to use that micro USB port to try and power up the device. I plugged the USB port into my computer and the mirco USB end into the RingPro. That didn't work either, still dead, in fact, the RingPro started to get very hot again. Not only did the RingPro get hot, the USB cable was heating up too.

Just to be sure I used my multimeter to check the power on the power cables that were going into the RingPro and it was fine, still 24v. The RingPro has been working just fine for 4 months, but now its just dead.

A lot of people have been commenting about when having hot weather how the RingPro starts to play up. Well, we have had very hot weather for the last few weeks, so I hope that is not the cause.

Has anyone else had this same issue where a RingPro just dies?

Called the Ring Support to see what could be done. At this point I know the device is kaput.

Ring Support have been pretty good to me, they asked me a few mandatory questions then proceeded to ask me to take photos of the wires that go into the RingPro and the adaptor I use to power it. The support person held on the call the whole time while I got the photos he needed. I sent them over to him and they are sending me a replacement. Hopefully it arrives between 5 - 7 working days and I have no more issues.

started out last night, ran into two people, not at the same time, and all morning I've been doing quests but I've yet to see a single other person.

AFAIK, I'm late to the multiplayer game, so is it just that people don't do the babby's fist hunt/escort/holy crap these robots are level thirty and I'm not even friggin' level ten!(still won though, elemental abuse FTW) missions or something?

side note. the AI is dumb but useful as meatshields.
