A list of puns related to "David Ricketts"
Looking for some reviews of this place, as we're thinking of contacting them over renting a place. Google seems to be slightly biased, so I thought I'd ask here.
Edit: Wow, okay then. Had some brief negotiations about a property, and over the course of the past 30 or so hours, David (of the namesake, I assume) called me demanding Β£750 in agent fees (perspective: other places have quoted us less than Β£200, and Citizen's advice says anything over Β£70 is questionable in terms of break down) before any agreement on actually taking the house had been reached.
I asked to see the inventory as the fridge/freezer was not listed as included in the advert for the house, and we agreed to discuss whether or not to proceed after my housemates and I had agreed that everything was in order with regards to white goods, etc. This request was made at 9.30pm, he sent the inventory through the next morning at around 9am, then about 20 minutes later contacted me at work, close to shouting down the phone at me, because he "hadn't received anything from [me] since last night!!". That anything being our references, copies of all our documents, and a payment of Β£750 with the Β£950 deposit... It's not just me, right?
Thought I'd let you guys know to avoid this agency where possible.
Hello everyone, today I am organizing every #1 overall pick in NBA Draft History based on how many other #1 overall picks they were teammates with. Each section is organized in chronological order based on when each player was drafted, and in parenthesis are the other #1 picks they played with, also listed in chronological order of when they were drafted. Hope you enjoy!

With the Charlotte expansion draft tomorrow (at least as I type this), I decided it'd be fun to take a look back at every MLS expansion draft, from the beginning to today, and seeing what kind of players ended up taken!
There's a lot of names in the early versions, please bear with me, I will probably generalize most of those.
##1998: Miami Fusion & Chicago Fire
MIA PICKS: GKs Jeff Cassar and Scott Budnick, DFs Joey Martinez, Cle Kooiman, Matt Kmasko, Wade Webber, and Ramiro Corrales, DF/MFs David Vaudreuil and Kris Kelderman, MFs John Maessner and Nelson Vargas, FW Bryan Taylor
The bulk of Miami's wouldn't stay around beyond 1999. Corrales is arguably the most known of the group they selected, and he played a grand total of 3 games before being shipped to the MetroStars. Only Cassar and Vargas actually made it to the new millenium, and Vargas suffered a career ending injury that season while Cassar lost the starting gig to some kid named Rimando. Wonder whatever happened to him.
CHI PICKS: GKs Kevin Hartman and Zach Thornton, DFs Danny Pena, Francis Okaroh, Andrew Lewis, and Brian Bates, MFs Manny Lagos, Jason Farrell, Jorge Salcedo, and Diego GutiΓ©rrez, FWs AJ Wood and Steve Patterson
Chicago, on the other hand, hit a home run. Hartman and Pena were immediately returned to the Galaxy for Chris Armas, who would make Best XI five times as a member of the Fire. They also got big name Jorge Campos in that deal, but Thornton beat the Mexican star for the #1 gig - and won Goalkeeper of the Year. The 35 year old Okaroh would prove to be a key stalwart of the league's second best defense as well, and GutiΓ©rrez would join him in the defense (anchored by Defender of the Year LuboΕ‘ KubΓk) as Chicago won the double right away.
Most of the rest were pretty whatever. But getting, essentially, 4 pieces of a double-winning XI via the expansion draft (once you factor in the Pena/Hartman for Armas deal) is a win.
##2005: Real Salt Lake & Chivas USA
RSL PICKS: GK DJ Countess, DFs Rusty Pierce, Nelson Akwari, and Matt Behncke, MFs Brian Kamler, Pablo Brenes, Andy Williams, Chris Brown, and Kevin Ara, FW Erick Scott
Only Brown and Williams managed to make it beyond 2005 for RSL. Brown would leave after the 06 season with not much to show, but Williams would become a stalwart who would spend six seasons in Utah as a player, winning MLS Cup in 2009. Even in retirement, Williams stayed with RSL in other capacities un

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

This was written by Russell T Davies and it was from after The Age of Steel and before The Idiot's Lantern were broadcast, and the issue reviewed recently broadcast Series Two episodes. The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, which previews the first half of Series 13, is on sale now.

##Forget-Me-Not
This time of year, I might wonder what to write in Production Notes. I mean, it's quiet. Doctor Who's not filming. No impossibly glamorous tales to tell you, of a cold coffee in Cardiff Castle with David or somesuch. No big news. (Although there will be! There's a couple of big 'uns on the way, oh yes!)
But then I remember. You're buying Doctor Who Magazine, you're happy with minutiae! Just like me! So this story is tiny, and typical, and a lot more true of everyday work on Doctor Who than all of our hyped-up Press Launches and ratings-figures-ballyhoo.
It's a tale from the dub. And it allows me to pause, and say, hooray for our Sound Men. I love 'em. Cos it's a mighty process, sound; there's the on-set recording, masterminded by Simon Fraser and team, then the post-production work, led by Paul McFadden and Paul Jeffries, all of which is combined in the Final Mix by Tim Ricketts. Or Ricketty Tim, as I've taken to calling him. Brilliant me, just brilliant. After every dub, I intend to send them an email, praising every vocal pitch and sonic squeal and monstrous roar; I then forget my good intentions, and move on to the next episode, and take them for granted. If only I had some way of thanking them properly, some sort of column, in some sort of magazine... Oh.
Thank you, men. Thank you, always.
The dub is the home of ADR; Additional Dialogue Recording. As well as post-synching dialogue, when an actor has to re-record their in-vision speech cos a plane was passing by or a radio mike rustled, there's the 'Additional' stuff; the off-camera lines, those voices talking Out Of Vision. And OOV lines can make or break entire plots! They're the last chance for the writer to enhance the story, or add extra information. There's a good example in The Age of Steel, when the Doctor and Mrs Moore are running through the cooling tunnels, as Cybermen wake all around them. As they reach the ladd

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
