I noticed his story is intertwined with ADHD (or ADD as he calls it). It seems to have played a big factor in his life. As per his narrative, he didn’t come from an affluent family. It is pretty inspiring to hear someone with the condition make it big and put his plans into action.
I believe he was diagnosed in his late teens/early 20s for those who are curious. Worth a listen imo.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

If you haven’t heard, Breeze Airways is a new airline started by JetBlue founder David Neeleman. Their marketing slogan is “Seriously nice.” and they like to say “We’ll get you there twice as fast for half the price.” The business model focuses primarily on underserved routes and offer more nonstop options for cities that aren’t hubs for airlines.
Louisville is one of the first cities served by Breeze, with nonstops offered to Charleston, Tampa, and New Orleans 4x weekly (Su, M, Th, F) for prices starting as low as $39.
The first flight for the airline out of SDF was yesterday to CHS and I was onboard. Here’s some of my observations:
The airline focuses on using technology to enhance the booking and flying experience. The app and website are super user-friendly and straightforward. I had an issue with my TSA PreCheck number and contacted their “Customer Empowerment” team. Contact options are Facebook Messenger, texting, and email. I went with the texting option and received a response in minutes. The PreCheck issue was quickly fixed but the boarding pass had my first and middle names flip flopped, so I had to stop by the ticket desk at the airport to get that resolved.
Breeze’s check-in desk at SDF is located on the left side in between Frontier and Southwest. I was immediately helped and the issue was resolved. The ticket agents were very clearly still in training, as there were a couple supervisor-looking guys showing them what to do. A pretty easy experience there nonetheless.
It was obviously a big deal for the airport and airline, so there was plenty of fanfare with a press conference at the gate, plenty of local media, and all kinds of free merchandise being given away (and donuts!)
Side note: if you haven’t seen a picture of a Breeze Airways plane yet, look it up - it’s gorgeous. Breeze will be using gate B9 at SDF. It’s on the inside of the “Y” of the terminal. With Southwest being on that side and Spirit and Allegiant across the apron, it makes for a very colorful lineup of airplanes.
Once boarding was set to begin, that’s when it became noticeable that all of the operational kinks aren’t quite worked out yet. After all, this was their very first flight from SDF and only second day of flying passengers overall. We started boarding right around 12:00 (scheduled departure was 12:10) and there was an issue with the boarding pass scanner, so the gate agent had to manually enter a name and number combination from the pass. It was inconvenient,
