Never heard of the writer before this. Wikipedia says he won a Pulitzer in 2007 for his play "Rabbit Hole".
This Spidey 4 script is absolutely horrendous. It's parody-level.

SPIDER-MAN (V.O.):
Hi I'm spider-man, with great power
comes great responsibility my uncle
told me that before he was killed
and i could have prevented that but
i didn't because i was selfish and
greedy. Years later i find out the
person who really killed my uncle
and i don't kill me i let him go.
so clearly I'm a serial killer i
killed a man before who didn't
deserve it.

until we decided to see.

it's you, spider-man and peter are
different people, when you're Pete
