A list of puns related to "David Kahne"
In Susanna's own words from a November 1988 interview:

"The last time I'd met the Bangles was in the wake of their 1984 debut album, when they were still being treated as an exotic, girlish novelty. They were, as they put it, "just a trash band" and the sudden glare of media attention caused any number of interpersonal crises and tantrums. But they pulled through, despite gruelling sessions in the studio with their original producer, David Kahne.
"We'd be running into the bathroom, throwing up with the pressure," says Susanna. "I think David Kahne used the divide-and-conquer philosophy, and he really manipulated us."
> Curry, on the other hand, was something different. He was β and still is β new. Itβs probably why so many GMs were wary of selecting him back in the 2009 draft, when he fell to the Warriors at No. 7. There was no way to imagine what he could be because we had never seen it before. It would've been like explaining gravity to someone before Isaac Newton.* > > *On a related note: I reached out Tuesday to former Minnesota Timberwolves general manager David Kahn, who passed on Curry twice and used that draftβs fifth and sixth picks on point guards Ricky Rubio and Johnny Flynn. I wanted to know how Kahn has processed this week. > > "I would be happy to talk to you just as soon as you talk to the Clippers (Blake Griffin), Memphis (Hasheem Thabeet), Sacramento (Tyreke Evans) and especially Washington, which traded the No. 5 pick to me straight up for Randy Foye and Mike Miller and could have drafted Curry fifth," Khan texted back.
Damn, a great reminder of the greatness of Ernie Grunfeld.
I'd known about this story for years, but I didn't realize it was David Kahne who was behind the whole thing. Quite honestly, I'm surprised the Strokes were willing to work with this guy!
Kevin Love talks about the story here: https://youtu.be/LbSix1IMyls?t=393
Really bizarre story that I had never heard before. I can believe this actually happened tho because David Kahn was among the worst GMs we've possibly ever seen. He's most well known for passing on Steph Curry twice in the 2009 draft. He also once called Darko Milicic Manna from heaven, compared Darko's passing ability to Vlade Divac and Darko's career trajectory to Chris Webber's while C-Webb was sitting next to him and tried his best to not be offended at such crazy comparisons.
Which class is easier? I read many posts how people should take AMS 151 over MAT 125, but also read how great Professor Kahn is. I don't need to take the classes proceeding these due to my major. Thanks so much.
> The story, so crushingly for Knicks fans, hasnβt been embellished at all. > > Stephen Curry and those in his camp definitely did want Madison Square Garden to become Curryβs permanent NBA address entering the 2009 NBA Draft. > > βVery true, very true, very true,β Dell Curry said Monday night, when we spoke before Stephen Curryβs father called the Charlotte-at-Dallas game in his role as a Hornets broadcaster. > > The Knicks had the eighth pick in the 2009 Draft. Golden State held No. 7. Dell Curry, who logged 16 seasons as the NBAβs first of three sharpshooting Currys, fielded a draft-day phone call from the Warriorsβ then-coach Don Nelson. > > βI said, βNo, weβd rather you not take him if heβs there because we have another place weβd like him to be,β β Dell Curry recounted in our Monday conversation. βHe said, βWell, if heβs there weβre going to take him,β and I said: βThatβs your choice. You call me and ask me a question and Iβm telling you the truth from my end.β β > > With an assist from David Kahn and the Minnesota Timberwolves, who selected Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn with the Nos. 5 and 6 picks after Blake Griffin, Hasheem Thabeet, James Harden and Tyreke Evans went off the board, Curry indeed made it to the Warriors at No. 7. Nelson and then-Warriors general manager Larry Riley β who will be in attendance later Tuesday at Golden Stateβs invitation β defied Dell Curry, agent Jeff Austin and everyone else who was lobbying the Warriors to let Steph make it to the Knicksβ turn at No. 8. > > βThank God it didnβt happen,β Dell Curry said. > > ------ > > That sentiment was not meant as a slam against the Knicks as much as it was an expression of gratitude for the way things have turned out. Nelson granted Stephen Curry only two minutes and 35 seconds of court time in his first visit to Gotham as a pro, and persistent ankle woes limited him to just 26 games in his third season, but it is a story of fairy-tale proportions in Year 13. At this stage of his career, as the leagueβs foremost singular entertainer, Curry routinely inspires MVP chants from opposing fans and had a whole Pacers audience in his corner Monday night rooting for him to break Ray Allenβs all-time record for 3-pointers in Reggie Millerβs city. No visiting player in #thisleague is more apt to commandeer the home crowd thanks to what my Wall Street Journal c

2009 Draft
Before we take a look at Kahns stupidity, lets take a look at their roster at the time.
Heading into the draft Minnesota had 4 first round picks, and 2 second rounders, thats more than enough to find some decent NBA players in such a good draft class. Except this is David Kahn we're talking about. With his two lottery picks he drafted Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn, two point guards back to back, ahead of Stephen Curry, DeMar Derozan, Jrue Holiday, and many more. He then went on to draft Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington with the other two 1st round picks, and Nick Calathes in the 2nd
Kahn drafted 4 point guards in one draft class, why? I wouldn't blame him for Flynn becoming a bust or Rubio not living up to his potential, but when you could have had Curry and Derozan on the same team as Kevin Love and Al Jefferson, its mind blowing. The choice of Lawson would have made much more sense had he only drafted one point guard instead of two.
Players Kahn didnt draft- DeMar DeRozan, Jordan Hill, Jrue Holiday, Stephen Curry, DeMarre Carroll, Jeff Teague, Darren Collison, Taj Gibson
2010 Draft
Coming off a terrible 15-67 the Timberwolves had the 4th pick in the 2010 draft which produced players like DeMarcus Cousins, Derrick Favors, John Wall, and Gordon Hayward to name a few.
Heading into the draft Minnesota could use an improvement at just about every position, so anybody would have been a good choice, but they chose Wesley Johnson, a 22 year old over younger players like DeMarcus Cousins, Gordon Hayward, and Paul George. With their next two picks they drafted Trevor Booker and Luke Babbitt. Out of those three players Trevor Booker is the best.
Players Kahn didnt draft- Everyone not named Wesley Johnson
2011 Draft
This would be the last time David Khan would make a lottery selection, drafting Derrick fucking Williams with the 2nd pick over Jonas Valanciunas, Kemba Walker, Klay Thompson, Alec Burks, Brandon Knight, KawhiBot 3000, Reggie Jackson, Jimmy Butler, and a whole shit ton of other good ass players in this deep ass draft class.
Had David Khan drafted the right players Minnesota could have been NBA champions/contenders right now. Their s

> Itβs a wonderful musical, and an unabashed Steven Spielberg movie. And the moments in which it most comfortably allows itself to be both of those things at once leave you convinced that some harmonies are worth waiting for, even if it seems like theyβve been always been around the corner and whistling down the river.
> West Side Story is contrived, certainly, a hothouse flower of musical theatre, and Spielberg quite rightly doesnβt try hiding any of those stage origins. His mastery of technique is thrilling; I gave my heart to this poignant American fairytale of doomed love.
-Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian: 5/5
> Spielberg and Kushner clearly revere that history, but theyβre also not intimidated by it; there are any number of instances where viewers can point to this song placement or that bit of character backstory as a new idea that the two have brought to the property, but this is a take on βWest Side Storyβ thatβs both reverent and exciting.
> Thereβs no need for Spielberg and Kushner to tease out topicality here. Aspects of West Side Story feel as pertinent today as they must have done on its 1957 Broadway debut. But relevance is easy: timelessness is the real artistic feat. And Spielberg has magnificently pulled it off
-Robbie Collin, The Telegraph: 5/5
> Heartfelt and heart-breaking, this feels like Spielberg has made an adaptation faithful to its roots but also, always, alive to the modern world.
-Helen O'Hara, Empire: 5/5
> A solidly entertaining remake peppered with a few transcendent moments, Steven Spielbergβs West Side Story emphasises the musicalβs most beloved elements without trying to radically reinterpret

In honor of Pelinka's famous comments on KCP, let's not forget the original. Poor Webber tries to throw lifelines but KAAAAAAHN just keeps digging his hole deeper.
Darko started 69 games, clocking a 12.2 PER and 0.2 win shares (not nice). The Wolves went 17-65.

From Wikipedia - " On June 24, 2009, Minnesota acquired the 5th pick, Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila and Oleksiy Pecherov from Washington in exchange for Randy Foye and Mike Miller.[9]Minnesota used the 5th pick to draft Ricky Rubio. "
We all know what happens after that. Rubio, then Flynn, then our least favorite non-Timberwolf ever Steph Curry. The story from there is Golden State slowly develops into their dynastic state, and the Wolves find themselves unable to keep Jimmy Butler from hating Wiggins and KAT. Think about how different the league would look if Kahn took Curry with either one of those picks.
Curry goes to MIN - scores lots of points with Kevin Love. Does Love even get traded to Cleveland upon LeBron's return? The great Anthony Bennett may never have donned the Wolves jersey! Curry probably still develops into the maniacal, shimmying, 35-foot heaver, but does that mean the Wolves have success? Probably not.
Golden State drafts Flynn/Rubio -Who knows how well they would do. Everybody seems to forget how bad GS was before their title runs. They were almost the Browns of the NBA.
With the Warriors likely remaining bad (or not as good without Steph's MVP seasons), they don't rally from 3-1 in the WCF vs OKC. Kevin Durant makes another finals appearance against probably Cleveland that totes LeBron, Kyrie and <insert 3rd good player> here. Cleveland wasn't quite ready that year (lost in 5 I think?) OKC wins the finals which is ring #1 for Durant AND Westbrook! KD would be crazy to leave a team he won a title with!
KD staying means OKC doesn't/can't trade for Melo, and likely doesn't try the trigger on Paul George (salary cap hell).
Does LeBron leave Cleveland again? It's quite possible with the west being more 'balanced' without the Warrior Dynasty that they have 4 different finals opponents each of the past 4 years. OKC, San Antonio, Houston, maybe even the two headed monster in New Orleans in Anthony Davis/DeMarcus Cousins?

Talks have been held with Indiana and Philly for Turner and Simmons
Gupta targeting top 6 this season
Monroe wanted to remain in Minny but Gupta not willing to go into Luxury Tax and Monroe wasnt in rotation
Glen Taylor doesnt want to enter luxury tax unless a top seed - likely home court team

Okogie has attracted interest according to Windhorst
Minnesota has offered 'every asset package possible' for Ben Simmons outside of Towns/Edwards
Wolfson believes Covington and Wood could be targets. Windhorst believes some teams "dont like" Christian Wood, Covington could happen
Windhorst mentions the Morey Family of GMs. Mentions Houston and Sacramento as teams interested in Simmons and how its possible Minnesota gets involved in multi team deals
Uncertainty regarding Gupta's future. Gupta wants to stay and he should get the job if he gets playoffs. Possibility of Lore wanting someone else.
Windhorst mentions a source saying Rosas' tenure was worse than David Kahn's...no...really
There are rumours of Rosas getting a job in the NBA soon but odds of him being a GM/POBO again are slim.

BK racing ran #83 full time in 2016
Not sure 100% on the details but BK racing owed David Ragan about 400K, (go figured). So they gave him the 83 charter to call it even, and it went to front row for 2017 season.
For 2017, Front row leased the 83 charter to #72 Tri-Star team in 2017
After original #38 charter was leased to #72, this charter ran as the #38 in 2018.
For 2019 Front Row used other BK racing charter on the 38, and the team used this charter for the #36 team.
In 2020 after #36 team shut down, Front Row changed 36 to 38. Been the 38 ever since
