If you are Dave Roberts, how would you manage the bullpen without Jansen for the rest of the series?
This is the worst case scenario. They say he’ll be good to go in 1 month but with a sensitive heart condition, I think Jansen should have the year off, even if I want him back ASAP.
With tight games, our options are Chargois, Ferguson, Maeda. Floro and Alexander can close depending on who’s the hitter.
Axford...I think it’s a small sample size if we just base his performance against the Astros, but then again I’m not so sure on how is he going to be a relief pitcher if we don’t give him chances in the field.
Pedro Baez. Maybe - just maybe - if we are going on with a 20+ run lead. Then I’ll let you kill me when he blew that lead and lose that game.
