> Dara Γ Briain has deleted a tweet condemning the BBC for commissioning Scarlett Moffattβs conspiracy theories podcast. > > The presenter tweeted about his disappointment the BBC would not make more editions of his astronomy series Stargazing Live but was happy to commission the podcast Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe. > > Γ Briain tweeted: βTrying not to be depressed today that while the BBC donβt seem to want to make any more Stargazing Live, they will pay Scarlett Moffatt to make a podcast about how she doesnβt believe in the Moon landings.β > > The tweet prompted a backlash, with one follower asking why he was βtaking out his grievancesβ on Iβm A Celeb winner Moffatt. > > He responded: βBecause she got paid to do a 10 part series about her favourite conspiracy theories. Scarlett is a lovely person, but that is just nonsense.β > > Replying to Γ Briainβs now deleted tweet, David Baddiel said: βI listened to it. Thereβs a fair bit of Scarlett saying, basically, βI just want people to be allowed to question whatβs handed down to them, and make their own minds up.β That was something I heard quite a lot during the making of this," referring to the documentary he made about Holocaust denial. > > > Addressing the negative response, Γ Briain said: βFor the record, Iβve met Scarlett, she was a guest on Blockbusters, and she is a lovely person, so please donβt give her any grief. Iβve not tagged her in here. I just think this kind of series is a shame. Youβll get no credit from me for personal abuse, though. OK?β > > He later tweeted: βOkay, Iβve made my point. Happy not to let it float around in perpetuity. And I donβt want to fuel grief for anyone, so Iβve deleted it. You all keep well. Oh, and we left mirrors on the moon in 1969 that we still bounce lasers off.β > > Hosted by Γ Briain, Brian Cox and Liz Bonnin, Stargazing Live ran from 2011 until 2017. > > To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, it returned for a one-off special in 2019. > > Moffattβs representatives declined to comment.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Can we please stop referring to the British Border in Ireland as the "Irish Border". I think Dara O'Briain puts it best. Last night BBC kept repeating this over and over. Its this kind of psychological warfare that is contributing to the problem. The same with the phrases such as the "Irish Backstop" again it is just the backstop. Ive also heard the BBC use language like the Irish Problem. It would great if the British People took responsibilty for the decisons they are making and stop trying to deflect and go to old card of "Blame Paddy"
He completely outweighs me and despite his age, I don't think that I would stand much of a chance. He is also taller than me and he has a longer reach. I would obviously strike first with a silky one two, but it would do nothing except spark the explosion of an all-consuming rage that would eventually culminate in Dara Γ Briain tossing me around the Tesco car park like a rag doll. Onlookers would feel sorry for me and try to intervene, but it wouldn't be of much use.
United States viewer here, mainly QI. I noticed that Dara has a way of speaking where he adds βahhhβ in between words/thoughts or at the end of sentences. Is this a common thing for Irish people? Or is it maybe a regional thing in Ireland? Or am I completely off-base and itβs just a quirk of his own?
Thanks in advance!
