Where would you put a cut flower bed? Iβm hoping to grow some vegetables for the first time in containers this year (on the deck/patio) but my Dahlias will need to be relocated. Any thoughts and advice appreciated. π

A carpet created from 500,000 dahlia and begonia flowers at Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium. 100 volunteers created this astonishing Floral Carpet that stretches out 19,000 sq. ft. Every two years it's a different cultural theme. This one honors Mexico & Aztec Culture.

Flowers are still going in the garden, Iβve had a tidy up as I neglected it the last week with the wet weather. Time soon to bring in the dahlias for next year and I hope to plant some tulips and naturalise some crocus in the lawn

Bees love single-flowered dahlias like βTwyningβs Smartieβ. The flowers fully open to reveal the nectar-rich centre. Dahlia βTwynings Smartieβ is quite a smartie pants, every flower is a surprise with a different number of pink and white petals.

Recent autumn wedding cake I did. Korean style piped flowers made with SMBC. Request was dahlias and sunflowers with choc drip, glazed fruit, and edible gold. Also cupcakes to match. Im not a fan of drip cakes but otherwise my fave cake Iβve done in a while.

Dahlias may have the wow factor, but small flowers make for a romantic garden bouquet.

Of all the bearded dragons I've had over the years the group I currently have has turned out to be some of my favorites with Dahlia, named for the Orange Dahlia flower, being right up in my top 5.

Coworker just gifted me bulbs/tubers of Lillies, Dahlias, and some other flowers -- hold on till spring or plant them now?
We also got a bag labeled "Glady's" that for the life of me I can't find any results for, plus a Calla Lily and some mystery bulbs.
We have some planter boxes we put out front that we'll put most of them in, but I'm wondering if they'll be okay to put in soil now (I'm in Seattle). I know most don't like frost, but all of these are from flowers that have overwintered in south Pierce/north Thurston for most of their lives.
They were in the ground previously, so my main concern is about putting them into a semi-raised planter bed vs just being in the ground.

What kind of Dahlia is this? I bought this before any flowers had started to show and it was labelled as a "surprise dahlia - wait and see what you get" only started gardening in July! Thanks

First dahlia season... this is supposed to be cafe au lait royal. Does this look right for a CoL opening up? It looks like water lily type to me at this stage. Should I be patient?? π€£ I'm just so excited for the fluffy CoL flowers!
