A list of puns related to "Cute Lemonade"
Hey Reddit!
2 years ago, I and a couple friends had a dream that once we finished film school, weβd put everything we had into making a wholesome short without any violence, sex, or other over-the-top gimmicks.
We all tried our hardest, invested 2 years worth of time and money, and after all the tears, sweat, and hardships of pulling it off, finally finished the film.
We screened to a packed house of immediate friends, family, and anyone willing to come in off the streets.
Hereβs where you come in!
After the screening, we ran the film at festivals, but got ZERO criticism on the film.
Thatβs all we wanted.
So I ask you, Reddit.
Could you take a look at what weβve done and give us some feedback?
Hereβs the video: https://vimeo.com/107520744

Give us your cold, honest opinion!
Please, and thank you in advance!
Welcome to today's thread! If you haven't been around before, here is a quick explanation of these threads for you to enjoy!
The Daily/Nightly thread is a place for you to enjoy the company of your fellow RAOAers in one place! This thread is for many aspects of communication such as:
Plus many more fun things!
So come on in, grab a blanket, and turn yourself into a taco.
QOTD: What is your favorite refreshing beverage?
So I'm trying to discover new groups, but NCT is quite overwhelming, and I don't want to start with the wrong foot.
You can leave a comment with a song that you think I might like, only 1 song per comment. Please don't comment songs that have already been commented. You can recommend several songs in different comments. Then just upvote the songs that you think I should listen to.
I will listen to the 10 most upvoted songs, no matter the subunit. Then, if I enjoyed them I might go check out some others. I won't check out MVs, I'm going only by the music. I don't usually read lyrics, but if you think they are really important just mention it and I will read them.
I mostly like hype fun songs with catchy hooks, but I also like darker-sounding music. I normally don't like overly cute or bright songs. Here are some songs that I love, so you get an idea:
Update 1: Okay those are a lot of songs! Thanks to everyone who has commented or voted. I will start listening to the top ones now π§‘
Update 2: I put this in a comment, but it probably got lost in the sea of comments, so I'll put it here:
Okay, so I ended up listening to like 30-something songs. I made a playlist and started listening last night, then went to sleep and finished this morning. Here's how it went:
These are the songs that I added to my spotify on first listen:
I was always hairy growing up.
My parents never understood where I got it from. Around sophomore year of high school, it spread over every inch of my body except my neck, face, and hands, but if you look closely the hair is there, too. Some college friends and I once went to get bikini waxes for a comedy video we planned to post online, but the wax strip got stuck in my hair and the staff person sprained his wrist trying to tear it off.
A lot of hair means a lot of shedding, and the hair on my head is dropping fast. I would still do well for a Sasquatch impersonation, though. The worst part is cleaning out the shower drain.
Ever since I was little, drains have freaked me out. If I accidentally touched one, I would shake all over. The filter in the swimming pool made me squirm, and I felt nauseous if I accidentally stepped on my shower drain or touched the underside of the faucet where the water runs.
My drain gets clogged with a lot of head and body hair, and I loathe cleaning it. My girlfriend finds it nasty, so I try to keep it clean whenever she visits. Recently, the shower drain got clogged and I had to pop off the metal grate to scoop out a sopping wad of knotted black hair.
But the tub continued to flood. Running the shower for one minute resulted in the water rising to my ankles.
My girlfriend hated it.
βBuy some Draino or something,β she said over the phone. βOr call a plumber.β
So I bought a gallon of Draino, poured it down β glug-glug-glug β and waited. No good. The water still rose.
For a while I avoided showering at home. I always shower at the gym, and I work out four times a week anyway. Not a big deal. That would have worked for me if not for my girlfriend needing to shower at my place sometimes. She got pissed off last time she spent the night because she had to stand in six inches of water. But she had a point.
I found the number for the plumber online. The website popped up when I searched for Brooklynn plumbers. β1-2-3 Gunkgone.β It caught my eye because it reminded me of a website from 1999, with outdated HTML, broken GIFs, tasteless clip art, and clashing pastel hyperlinks. The price must not have changed since 1999 either. I gave the plumber a call for the hell of it and heard a voice that made me think of someone alone in a dark room.
βHello? Looking for a plumber?β
Not quite a whisper, his voice was full of hope and caution, like a seller of hard drugs who had trouble finding customers.
βYeah, heyβ¦ Is the price onlin
... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

What Went Right:
Back in 2018, I took my first trip to Japan. As a person with intense (and at the time, untreated) anxiety, taking my first solo trip anywhere was a daunting prospect. Traveling to the other side of the planet to a country where I only spoke a little of the language was terrifying. It was the greatest thing I could have done for my anxiety, and it changed me as a person. I ended up going again the following year (that trip report will follow another time).
Considering the amount of time I spent lurking this subreddit while planning, it seems appropriate to finally share my experience while I sit here pining for my next journey. Below are edited excerpts from the travel journal I kept on my first trip.

This is it. Itβs really happening. Iβm sitting at the airport, and thereβs nothing left to do except get on the plane. Itβs daunting to think about. In less than 24 hours, I will be on the other side of the planet, the furthest I have ever been from home, and I will be alone. I still donβt know what possessed me to do this. I canβt even go to the grocery store without risking an anxiety attack. But here I am.

I made it. I am exhausted. Pretty sure Iβve been experiencing micro sleeps since I left Narita.
It took almost an hour to navigate customs and immigration, acquire my rail pass, and board the train to Ueno. All-in-all, it was pretty easy to do, since everyone spoke at least a little English. Check-in at the hotel was somehow even easier, despite being done completely in Japanese.
I struggled a little with buying dinner. Iβve never ordered food before, and itβs hard to parse the super polite Japanese used by service workers. I did ultimately acquire the mushroom burger and melon soda I wanted from Wendyβs First Kitchen, even if I felt silly at the time. Practice will make better. Weβll try again tomorrow.

The Imperial Palace Gardens are incredible. Itβs refreshing to see so much green in the middle of the city. Itβs like an oasis, a dozen little paths and streams run in and out of the trees and around the pond. Iβve probably sweat out a quarter of my body weight at this point. As quickly as I drink water, I sweat it right back out again. At least thereβs a breeze from time to time, and some shady benches to stop at.
I had lunch at a little ramen shop across from Akihabara stationβs Showa-dori exit. I didnβt particularly care for Akiha

The row of corpses stood up straight, before offering us a courteous bow.
"How respectful," I said, giving Grant a smile.
He nodded, and we charged while they were still bent over. Brandon followed and instantly sunk the axe into James' lowered head, dropping him to the floor. Grant and I shoulder rammed the two closest to the left. They hit the ground and we kicked and stomped their heads until we felt the skulls cave in. I picked up the sword that dropped from my victims hand and Grant found himself, once more, holding an axe. By this point the others were charging us. Brandon had already separated another's head from their body, while four more rushed Grant and I.
I dodged to the side as a sword swung by my face. It still dug into my right shoulder, but I pulled away before it could get too deep. Still hurt like a son of a bitch! Grant had blocked another axe and a sword that came at him with his axe handle, though his hand was still spewing blood from the impaling quarter. He screamed in pain as he kicked one of them back, as he spun his axe around and buried it deep into Dwayne's neck.
Larry, whose sword had just attempted to take my arm off, swung around after I diverted his swipe. He raised his arm and made to swing it at me again. I swiped my blade across his neck before he had the chance to bring his weapon down. He staggered back and, before he could find his bearings, I swung again. It didn't take his head off, but it tore through enough of his throat meat to put an end to his assault.
Only two remained, as well as Chuck, who was still just standing to the side, watching. One came at me and, as Grant slammed his axe head into his gut, I swung my sword down across his neck as he buckled over. The other made for Grant. Before he could get close, Brandon dropped his blade right into the center of his attacker's head. His arms fell limp, and he dropped to the floor. I yanked my blade from our victim's neck and he
