... keep reading on reddit β‘Approximately 5.8% of all full-time jobs in America are related to trucking. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2018 there were about 129 million full-time jobs in America. That same year, approximately 7.4 million people were employed by the trucking industry. https://www.businessinsider.com/trucking-industry-facts-us-truckers-2019-5
Some ads like to say "driving a truck has been immune to globalization", "Truck Driver is the most common U.S. job". But nothing spells mass unemployment as A.I. doing menial jobs. So everyone can relax on their high apartments in the sky with robot maids and flying cars with push a botton job like the Jetsons.
Did you know people said horses would never be replaced by cars? Horses are honorable animals and cars could never replace their work, ever. It didn't work too much for horses working in the city. But people are not horses. How dare someone compares human with horses vs A.I. efficiency.
Don't worry, at first they put A.I. trucks with truck drivers as supervisors. Then, A.I. to supervise A.I. in a traffic controlled A.I. network. First in the USA, then the world. I hope you are not a truck driver because if you are, you got 10 years or less to think about other job careers.

I'm selling an Oculus Rift CV 1 that I bought in August of 2018.
I've used it a fair amount but its in good condition. I finaly ordered an Oculus Rift S yesterday (after many attempts in this crazy time of low supplies I finally got one ordered from Oculus website!) So I'm selling my Rift CV 1
I'm asking $175 for it, plus shipping if you want it shipped to you
I'm not trying to make tons of money on it - I mainly want to make a little and hope it goes to someone who will get fun out of it (especially since it's so freaking hard to order VR headsets right now with the corona virus).
I live in Cupertino, California so I could either have the headset picked up if someone local wants to buy it, or else I could ship it somewhere if someone remote wants to buy it.
I'll collect PMs for about a day and then pick one and sell it to a person.
So the full set of stuff I'm selling for $175 is:
- The CV 1 itself
- Two sensors
- Two Touch Controllers
- An XBox 1 controller and the little Oculus clicker thing (hardly ever use either of these things because I just normally used the touch controllers so I'm including these)
- A single VR Cover Foam Replacement already mounted on the CV1. I just put a fresh one of these on it today (when I bought the thing below from Amazon, it shipped with two cover Foam Replacement covers, and one of them I used a lot and it was kind of worn out so I put the second one on this morning: fresh and clean!) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQZVF6K/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
- Note that I'm also including the original faceplate - its easy to snap off the VR Cover Foam Replacement and snap back on that original Oculus one - if you really want to. But I have found the VR cover to be more comfortable.
- Just PM me if you're interested and after about a day I'll pick one of the PMs (I'll try to be "first come first serve" in picking it plus give preference if there's someone local who wants to buy it so I don't have to deal with the shipping aspect of it - but if there's noone local I can sell to someone remote as long as they will pay for shipping).
