So according to Christian mythology, the story goes that Roman soldiers decided to create a 'crown of thorns' to humiliate Jesus for being a 'king of jews'.
While this obviously is religious scripture and so most likely some kind of allegory, what I'm wondering is - did people in the ancient Roman period ever actually do things like this to people who were crucified? Humiliate them further by dressing them up in certain ways, or perhaps degrade them with humiliating acts, or other things of that sort?
I'm at the end of Act 1 at Ascension 20.

I don't think my deck needs card choice more than energy right now. Its main issues is lack of upgrades and some junk that needs to be cut.
I feel like crown is the pick here.

- Rafael could barely believe it. Here he was, at King's Tunnel. The first tunnel used on the Kingdom's moon colony. It now functions as a transitway for people to enter the colony. Before he goes underground, Rafael turns around and looks at the lunar surface. The Earth floats in the background as Rafael sees the most beautiful sight he may see for a while. He turns around and enters the tunnel.
The tram continues through the bustling tunnel, with people moving equipment, supplies, and even some military men doing drills. Rafael looked down. He was thinking about his new job. His anxiety was pretty high. The High Council of the Kingdom had ordered Rafael to come to Terra Profectum to audit the colony, deciding whether or not it would be shut down or if it would continue to be funded. The tram made a right turn through the executive branches of tunnels, where they plopped Rafael right in front of the Administration Ministry. He grabbed his suitcase and stepped off the tram, where he then walked to the sector door and opened it with his ID. He walked through and followed the signs to the Director's office.
Rafael opens the door. He's greeted by the Director, who tells him to sit. Rafael sits down.
"So. Here I am. My decision is not personal. Well, personally, I love space. But you have to convince me that the benefits of keeping this colony are worth it. The United Nations is loading pressure onto the Kingdom to disband the colony and have our leaders face an international court over their... 'war crimes' that they committed during the Outbreak." Rafael states.
"Sir. I had my analysts build up a report on the benefits, cons, and current statistics on the status of the colony. It has an overwhelming number of positive results. And I am eternally indebted to this opportunity the Kingdom has given me. Before the Outbreak, I was just an accountant for some firm. I was smart. Yet... I was never ambitious. I was an underachiever. Nothing interested me. Until the Kingdom opened the gate and let me in. That is what I love about our nation. We're not doing this for money, or power, or our interests. We're doing this for the progress of humanity." The Director spurted.

Hebrews 1:6 was correctly rendered in the 1961 version of the NWT "Let all God's angels worship him (Jesus)" but was changed in the 1984 edition to read, "Let all God's angels do obeisance to him"

Details of the long-awaited reforms of the country's hate speech laws were announced by Justice Minister Kris Faafoi on Friday morning.
The six proposed changes include protecting groups from hate speech on the basis of sex, gender, marital status or political opinion, and making “incitement to discriminate” against the law. It will also boost the maximum sentence for the offence from three months to three years’ imprisonment.
"Extreme speech that incites hatred is very real, and is harmful for those who experience it, and for groups that are the target of it,” Faafoi said.
“The changes, which we are proposing, are not about restricting anyone's ability to engage in debate about issues.
“While saying nasty things to someone, or about someone, does not make for healthy and constructive relationship, it is not the type of speech that we are targeting.”
Bolstering hate speech laws was a recommendation of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Christchurch mosque terror attacks. The inquiry found there had only been one prosecution for “intent to incite hostility” under the existing law, and two civil claims.
