A list of puns related to "Coverless"
I've heard that these are a thing. A duvet with integrated cover where you just throw the entire thing in the washer and it saves you from wrestling covers on (my least favourite job)
Gimmicky or worth it?
I was rummaging through some dollar bins for fun and came across at least two long boxes at the end of the table filled with newish Batman titles missing their covers.
Just wondering, is there reason someone would want to remove the cover from some issues? Or is it something on the manufacturerβs end? I couldnβt think of a reason a cover would be more valuable detached from the issue, but Iβm pretty new at this.
I've got a bunch of local files but they're all coverless and don't have an album or artist where it'd usually show them. However I've seen people with those things. How do I get them?

COVERLESS COPY.
If sent to CGC, this book will get a NG or NO GRADE.
This book is suitable as collection filler, a conversation piece, or a great display copy if you purchase a good facsimile cover.
HOWEVER. Consider that it has been bagged and unhandled since 1968 or 1969 (51 or so years!)
The pages are pristine and look to be white, just like it came from the publisher.
Story Time:
Back in the day, comic publishers would give stores credit for unsold comics.Β All they had to do was RIP OFF THE COVER and return it.Β Β The comics were then supposed to be thrown out, pulped, or destroyed.Β Read the text right under Guy on the splash page. You'll see how the publishers wanted it handled.Β Of course, some enterprising individuals came up with the idea to seal 2 or 3 into plastic bags and resell them.Β You used to see these a lot in antique malls, mom and pop stores and other, out of the way places.
This book came in a very large lot of coverless books that were put in storage in 1968 or 1969.Β AΒ Mom and Pop restaurant and store in Rochester, KY Closed up shop and, rather than sell them all off or throw them away, they just stored them.
(Side note, if you are (or aren't) a John Prine fan, the Rochester Dam is THIS Rochester that he mentions in the song Paradise)
Fast Forward about 50 years and I purchased them in March of 2016 from a relative of the original owners.
In addition to these there were stacks of comics with covers still intact, that were still wrapped with string.
But that's another story.
If you would like to see them, you can visit borderlandcomics on a popular social media platform.
Just look through the photos.
And, no, I no longer have them. They have been sold.
A crazy cool find.
So please see the photos. Ask any questions you might have.

Intro
Hello Comicswap friends! I have something interesting today for those of you who love low-grade stuff. I'm selling coverless comics, the lowest of the low grade. Some have little marks or drawing on them, they are rough! They are good reading though and I'm selling them dirt cheap. I'm asking just $6 each, and that includes shipping. If you buy a bundle you'll get a discount too! I can provide detailed pics upon request too. As for what I have...

In Closing
Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions and thanks again to everyone for being an awesome group!
Hey all, up for sale/trade is my coverless copy of ToS #39. Currently looking for about $1200 for the book, but am negotiable. Shipping is free via UPS.
Wouldn't mind trading for a decent copy of Detective Comics #359 or Tomb of Dracula #10 (doesn't have to be slabbed).
Also would love to hear what you'd be willing to trade to...long as it's fair for both sides, I'm game. Silver Age books I also collect include Avengers, Spider-man, Superman, and Action Comics. I enjoy and prefer to trade as I feel this makes both parties happier in the long run because we were both able to avoid opening our wallets except for shipping, lol.
Additionally, as this comic is a double for me, I'm more than happy to send out first if a trade were to happen. I'm sure that can be figured out accordingly. I also have this issue listed on eBay and if something occurs there I will remove this post. Any questions, please feel free to ask....and thanks for looking!

---UPDATE--- Not sold, but TRADED!
Iβve been using a leather case for years and finally decided to experiment without it and it feels really nice! I donβt plan on using a case anyways since I only read in my house and donβt go outside with it
