I used the appeals case in Brady v. NFL as my main reference for the names with double checking Bloomberg and Hoovers
Also limited in some states has the same meaning as incorporated
I feel we Knicks fans have been spoiled in the sense that we're never under the fear of having a corporate arena name, and in fact, I believe we're the last in the league not to have corporate sponsorship.
Meanwhile some arenas have been tainted by corporate names such as the TD Garden, Rose Arena to name a few and the asinine names such as Smoothie King and Talking Stick. While some corporate sponsorship just works and would be hard to imagine without the name, for instance Staples Center and the United Center.
Anyway, what would your ideal arena name be?
Inspired by a comment I saw earlier today in the "Commissioner" thread.
21 teams (including because of their new ballpark) have sold their stadium naming rights to corporations. 9 (, ,, , , , , , and ) have not.
As the title asks above, what would you name your team's ballpark if corporate naming rights were no longer a thing in the MLB?
Need name for corporate bowling team wearing black shirts in the safety/security department
Iβve been watching professional league since nigh itβs inception, and worlds has always been dope. In the beginning there was only a few regions competing which made it easy to track which teams were from where. (I was also younger which meant more free time.)
As the years have gone on, more and more teams from varying regions have been invited to compete. Thatβs fantastic! Iβm so glad that this game is reaching more places. However, with adulthood grabbing me by the balls, I donβt nearly have enough time to research and watch all the teams that are competing, hell, I barely have time to watch my own region.(NAWILDCARD) Which leads to me to have constantly look up where every team that I donβt immediately recognize is from.
Does anyone else think a nice QOL update to worlds would be to place the teams region underneath the team name?
WarHogs: Because war is what a football game is. And Hogs gives props to the Redskins offensive line in the 80's and 90's. This gives historical context to this team. And it's badass as hell. You're not going to beat a team called the WarHogs.
EarthChain, the nature charity token, is poised to take off having recently secured its first corporate partnership with a UK based wildlife trust and with more potential suitors to follow.
EarthChain has been ticking all the right boxes lately. Since its launch on 9th May it has achieved the following:
First charity partner announced Team have been fully doxxed KYC process completed Audit passed Registered as a UK company Roadmap released Podcast launched Collaborations achieved Highlighted on several "up and coming crypto" twitch channels.
Not only does EarthChain have a fully doxxed team, they have also registered as UK company, completed the KYC process with Solidity Finance and have had the smart contract audited. The team recently announced their first charity partnership, having linked up with Surrey Wildlife Trust to raise funds to support nature reserves in the county. Unlike other charity tokens that make (or claim to make!) one-off donations, EarthChain is focused on building long term partnerships with charities which increases accountability and opens up more avenues to raise money for good causes.
The team have been in talks with a major international conservation charity over the past week so this token could get a lot of exposure soon. At the same time, there are plans afoot to build an NFT marketplace as another revenue stream to raise money for good causes. The team are also looking at other ways of raising revenue for charities so they aren't reliant on just one particular area.
Also, a fully-fledged governance platform will enable token holders to have a say in which charities the project should support. EarthChain is redefining fundraising by combining charitable giving with a profit motive for investors.
Tokenomics
$EARTH is based on the Binance Smart Chain. Each time a transaction is made, 1.5% of the fee is sent to the designated charity wallet. Every buy and sell directly helps the nominated charities.
At the same time, 2% of each buy or sell transaction is shared between all holders. A double deflationary mechanism (black hole wallet, and auto liquidity lock) helps maintain upwards price pressure.
