A list of puns related to "Convent Of Jesus And Mary, Delhi"
=))
"But wait," they said, "there's myrrh!"
Does that mean that Mary had a little lamb?
Mary turns to Joseph and says, "Write that down. It's better than Kevin."
I haven't seen this being discussed anywhere so i might as well throw this in here. By all means, please, do correct me if i'm wrong but
The Living Failures theme besides being an absolute BANGER has a few lines in the second verse that lend themselves to some interesting interpretations. Ok but what do i mean by that? Well, first, here is the verse itself*
Ave, ave stellar
Orae requiem futurum
Ave, Maria sanctus
Hic tenere veroβ sanoβ sangua infans exnihilo
First, i'd like to point out that the verse is lyricly constructed in a way that resembles the name of a specific catholic prayer, Ave Maris Stella. This is kinda neat since the prayer is in honor of Mary (or Maria), mother of Jesus, creating the juxtaposition with Bloodborne's Lady Maria
Not only that, but this same prayer also associates Mary with the sea through the ancient title, Maris Stella, which translates to seastar from latin. This is interesting since it allows us to ponder on a few things, like the Deep Sea rune description, which says:
" [...] Great volumes of water serve as a bulwark
guarding sleep, and an augur of the eldritch Truth. [...]"
Knowing that Lady Maria guards the eldritch horrors that she, regretably, helped to create in the Fishing Hamlet, her distorted connection to Maria, Mother of Jesus, and the sea becomes very very intriguing!
Ultimatly, i'd like to talk about the last line of the second verse which has been referenced both as
Hic tenere veroβ sanoβ sangua infans exnihilo / Hic tenere deus sangua infans ex nihilo
In both cases, it, roughly, talks about the true divine blood that can be found in this child born from nothing - probably refering to the infant Great Ones and human ascention into a higher plane since Great Ones can't reproduce themselves - thus born of nothing
HOWEVER! We are talking about Maria/Mary here and whoelse's child is famous for being born from nothing? Literal divine virgin birth! Yes, baby, JC himself. So, given how the patients refer to Lady Maria as a caring motherly figure and how they possibly hold some sort of holy blood within them as we can see through the inumerous living failures about the Research Hall, the connections between both Marias becomes more evident to me
Well, i guess that is all i had to tell you guys about my recent brain fart! Feel free to elaborate further as I'm no lore expert

... keep reading on reddit β‘I was reading that when the prophet destroyed all the idols in that Kaaba he spared the images of Maryam and Isa.
Is that true? If so aren't iconography and images forbidden in Islam?
And are these images still there?
