A list of puns related to "Concord Music Group"
Hello everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience at the Ilan Bluestone show on his Impulse tour. I had the privilege of traveling to Chicago for my birthday weekend and decided to see Ilan and Maor over the Anjunadeep Rotation show that happened the day before. Here is my experience!
Venue:
This was my first time at Concord Music Hall. Location and parking around the venue seemed good. Being not too close to downtown there was plenty of street parking, but it didn't feel too desolate and there were many restaurants and bars close by.
Venue is semi-shotgun style with a ground floor entrance that leads up some stairs to the main venue. Security on entrance was friendly. They were checking vax cards by hand....but also allowing guests without them entry after simply stating they are vaccinated.
The main space was really beautiful. Wide main room with wooden floors and a balcony area on both sides of the room. In the back behind the sound booth was also a large open area with seating up against the back wall. Big shout out to the crew working the sound, lights, and videos! They did an amazing job in my opinion. At one point I'm pretty sure I saw the visual tech use some sort of modified guitar hero controller to change the screen effects.
Security was numerous and in general the venue felt a bit overstaffed when it came to bouncers and bartenders.
Crowd:
Being an 18+ show, the crowd was decently mixed. Good numbers of proper Anjunaheads, a few younger looking faces, and lots of gays as always. I really enjoyed seeing familiar faces and meeting new people....especially getting to see and hug u/ixto <3
The door and set times for this show seemed a bit weird to me...but I will revisit this later on in the next section. I mention it because I feel like it confused the crowd a bit. For the first hour or so EVERYONE was just yapping during Jeff Ozmits's set. More or less made the music unlistenable at certain parts, especially because the speakers were turned down a bit as well. Once Ilan and eventually Maor went on, the crowd ceased being chatty and began to act more inebriated. This was pretty much on par with exception to a couple people who wandered/bumped around in the crowd fucked up during those sets. I also had a guy who could barely walk completely eat shit into me in the bathroom.
In conclusion, not the best crowd I've been in but not the worst by far. Good vibes from everyone overall.
Music:

> Concord Bicycle Music recently acquired Fearless Records, along with the remainder of Wind-up Records. This adds all of Fearless' 150-disc back catalogue and what's left of Wind-up's to Concord's rough count of around 10,000.
> According to sources, Concord Bicycle paid about $10 million for Fearless, which has about $15 million in annual revenue including a nice merchandising business and a small publishing catalog. The label's catalog including albums by Plain White T's, At The Drive-In, Bigwig, The Aquabats, and Sugarcult, while its current artist roster includes Pierce The Veil, Breathe Carolina, The Maine, Mayday Parade, The Word Alive, Motionless In White, Alesana, and Every Avenue. Fearless is expected to issue about 15 albums in the current year.
Hopefully, this doesn't affect anything with the current roster. They're lined up to have a lot of new records this year. Chunk, ABR, Pierce The Veil, Blessthefall...
I went to last night's show at Concord Music Hall in Chicago. Anyone else there think that the sound engineering was poorly done? I felt like all I could hear was bass. I couldn't make out vocal lines, and guitar sounds were distant at best.
I know this heavy bass sound is typical at live shows to some degree, but last night I felt it was off the rails bad. Am I crazy? Anyone else notice this?
ABR still crushed it. As Always.
Iβm no longer able to attend the Oct. 21 show in Chicago, so Iβve got two tickets available if anyone is interested in snatching them up.
Edit: Forgot to put this, but tickets were $65 a piece and after fees cost me $180, I can sell for $120
