A list of puns related to "Comet Related"
IRL meteor showers are often caused by the earth going through the dust trail of a comet, so I've often wondered, with the comet only a few months away at that time, if the meteor shower we saw at the start of Sokka's Master, is actually part of Sozin's Comet?
If so, there's some poetic irony in Sokka's space sword helping to stop the Fire Nation from burning down a whole continent. Or maybe even more...
All natural things in the world of avatar are also spiritually connected, perhaps it was a way of the cosmos to keep balance, part of the comet being used to stop others using the comet's power.
The sword is lost right before the last ship of the fleet is stopped, and Ozai is defeated. Balance is maintained.
Thoughts?

Looks like new art for a new character, and the apparent hood look very AC-ish to me. Could Comet be announced this week?
EDIT: It's Batman-related. Nevermind.
So here's a "side view" of our solar system as it moves through the galaxy.
As you can see, the planets' paths are actually helixes, not ovals.
They didn't include the asteroid belt, but I'm wondering why the belt wouldn't leave behind some debris in the "wake" of the sun's path.
Like, from our perspective, the asteroid belt is clustered around our sun's orbital plane (like most of the planets).
Why is there not asteroid "debris" scattered across the "bottom half" of the galaxy? (the side opposite the sun's direction of travel)
They will impact the Paragon servers on the 26th.
Rip Paragon.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 69%. (I'm a bot)
> They think the seemingly sudden deaths of many of these animals in the Alaskan and Yukon mucks could be explained by airbursts and impacts from comet debris that struck Earth during the Late Pleistocene, between 11,000 and 46,000 years ago.
> Hagstrum and his colleagues suggest that the abundance of these microspherules indicates that the animals died as a result of airbursts or impacts from astronomical objects.
> "Blast winds from the impacts would have swept across the Beringian landscape flattening trees and killing, dismembering, and burying megafaunal carcasses or body parts, along with logs, branches, other plant material, with a matrix of redeposited loess in low-lying creek valleys."
> The current findings play in to the Younger Dryas impact hypothesis, which states that cosmic impacts, not humans, may have caused most of North America's large animals to go extinct during the Late Pleistocene.
> Oddball thinkers like Graham Hancock have co-opted it to write than impacts during the Younger Dryas doomed the lost civilization of Atlantis, which pretty much all available evidence suggests existed purely in the realm of fiction.
> As the authors admit, "Further studies of fossils with well-established stratigraphic contexts are needed before the actual role of impacts in driving or contributing to the megafaunal extinctions can be inferred."

You know in the dark purple episode. The baby/susan strong - whole super porp scenario. Could that be what the agent of change relates to or is that too far?
It's a small sub, but I think you'll all agree that keeping as many people aware of all aspects of the space industry is important.

A study in potions is easy. A study in potions is not easy for my lower level more casual friend. The result is an event that isn't really that much fun for anyone.
I'm a week 1 AR 58 player welkin/bp/low-mid spender who's been 36*ing abyss with relative ease since around ~1.3. I have more invested (in this context able to be a member of a f12 team if I need) characters than I need for this particular event. Like most events in this game for a highly invested player "A study in potions" was laughably easy, although I felt it was a step in the right direction since enemies weren't dying in literally one hit, but was still very simple to get gold awards on each stage with no retries, no dupe characters, no trial characters (except Shenhe with Ganyu on one floor to decide if I wanna risk my Yae pity for her). This has been my experience with every event Genshin has had to offer outside of energy amplifier style events, and so I thought nothing was out of the ordinary this time.
Coming to this sub after playing it though, I noticed that people were extremely divided on the event, so I asked my relatively new friend what he thought about the event. Turns out like many people on here who aren't as entrenched into the meta of the game, or are simply of a lower AR than other players the event was ranging from nigh impossible to extremely difficult. What this event has ended up making is an event that is polarizing in difficulty but fun for neither the invested meta players who probably have a spreadsheet open right now in another tab nor the people who play this game solely for the story/their favorite char, leaving a small sliver of players who probably found the event truly engaging.
How then do we solve this without saying things like "Go back to abyss tryhard" or that you just need to "Git Gud" so that people can have fun engaging events no matter if they're c6r5 whalegods, or your 10 year old sister who mains Diona because she's a cat and cats are cute.
It's well known that MiHoYo has two popular games, Genshin and Honkai. Honkai events and story gameplay are generally pretty engaging for one simple reason. To play the story of events and the story in Honkai you don't need to roll or even touch your characters past the first two or three chapters (which are enough to do with the free starter chars). Simply put Honkai does something this event did but to the Nth degree, every char is a trial character. Playing the new story chapter with Void Drifter Kiana

Hey there. Im not usually a fan of Netflix produced movies because of their agressively homogenous feel but I just watched "Don't Look Up" by Adam McKay and this movie struck a chord. This is the first time I've watched a disaster film and thought this is really how the western world (and the World) would have reacted (during the last 4 years or so), would still react, and is reacting at the moment to a mass extinction event. It's like the overall tone was perfectly woven.
I found it hilarious and the jokes to be very well written but It kind of hit me hard. I feel that in light of the current events and with the shit that went down during the last 5 years or so the 3 main characters are terribly identifiable. As a satire, it isn't always very subtle, but it's too far rooted in reality as far as Im concerned to be truely deemed "cynical". And thus it gets its point across quite vividly. (Which reminded of Sorry to Bother You in that regard, which I also loved)
Just like you I presume, I've had my share of similar themed big blockbuster movies and my expectations were low, but I found it is unlike any of that. It's sort of more "mature" while still being a comedy. The cinematography was alright (lots of meh shots and even some continuity errors, mostly sound related) but It really felt like a smooth and pleasant watch and had very pretty colors. All in all, its depiction of contemporaneous social and political division is perfect, very accurate and absolutely probable.
And the entire soundtrack is a blast ! Really gets you going.
Although quite chilling, it is the best movie I've seen the whole month and probably one the best Netflix movies I've watched.
Tell me what you think, and if you already have, feel free to discuss. How did it make you feel ?
Edit: grammar
Edit 2 : I would like to point out that personally I kind of watched this movie as it is, meaning trough the comet narrative. It didnt make me feel as if I had been contemplating a giant billboard with the words "Climate Change Metaphor" written all over it. Sure I could easily guess what they were going for, but the entire film doesnt have to be viewed trough the lens of the most accurate interpretation. I would argue that above everything when watching a movie there's an experience to be had, good or bad (or everything in between). This movie can be pretty funny at times but it also paints a gloomy picture so I was sort of wondering how it made everyone feel, regardless of the meaning an
