Warning: wall of text incoming. If you want to use the chainsaw and get to the important stuff, here is the TLDR: A big thank you to everyone at Coffee Stain Studio for the bright spot I needed in Dec 2020 and for the extra effort it took to bring Fixs*mas back this year.
Wall of text.
Back before the pandemic was a thing, Christmas 2020 was not looking like it was going to be a great time. The family table was going to be a bit quieter with a chair that was going to be empty at all future Christmas’. Beyond that I was working at a very abusive company (the kind where I’m working to the point my mental and physical health is legit in danger). Things were not looking very good.
Fast forward to Dec 2020. All and all, Dec was looking to be nothing but extremely depressing, even more so than it looked like at the beginning of the year. Like so many, family plans had long been canceled and there would be no get togethers. Things had gone from bad to extremely bad at work.
Mid Dec, after an extremely unpleasant call with my new boss, I decided to just start up Satisfactory and loose myself in the, to me at least, very calming problems of factory building. I wasn't following Coffee Stain’s socials and hadn’t seen any video’s they had put out. It had been a few months since I played last and wasn’t expecting anything beyond what I had played before. I didn't notice anything new on the Steam launch page.
I load up the game and start trying to unlock the next milestone in that save file. I’m setting up some constructors when a very loud noise startles me from behind. Turning around I saw an enormous present. …WTF. I activate it and get a few more presents in my inventory. As I sit there, I notice more large presents falling from the sky. No seriously, WTF?
I didn’t know it at the time, but Fixs*mas had come to my factory. What followed was a journey of discovery and problem solving as I figured out slowly what was going on. Getting lost in plans for more candy cane output and issues with powering the buildings needed to get good ornament manufacturing going. I didn’t end up getting much actual work done that day, and I have no regrets.
Fixs*mas 2020 was weird. It was quirky. It was cute.
It was the unexpected bright spot I needed exactly when I needed it the most. Silly as they are, I will be forever grateful for the memories I have of those Fixs*mas days in my factory.

Devs you've become my favourite developer officially. How do I get in contact about bugs I've found in your other games? The interwebs gives such conflicting information and id prefer you rad it instead of Management (who are likely just to toss it in the barrel hop incinerator).

Is the name of the incubator, and it was part of the origins of coffee stain studios, and a few other recent pushes like valheim, etc... :)
I even did most of the game design for my current project while playing deep rock galactic (imagining what it would be like to play as an army of Steves instead of playing as a dwarf)
Anyway, I didn't even realize at the beginning of the project that coffee stain's success is part of what kept the game incubator here in Sweden alive and continue to get funding.
It's crazy how much a game like this can have on your life without even realizing it! I'm very grateful to you guys, and the devs as well. :)

Do you like Coffee Stain Studios? Their early work was a little too goat for my tastes, but when Deep Rock Galactic came out in '18, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game has a clear, crisp goal, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the levels a big boost. They've been compared to Digital Extremes, but I think Coffee Stain has a far more slapstick, cartoony sense of humor. In '19, Coffee Stain released this, Satisfactory, their most accomplished game. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Tier 8", an advancement so monumental, most people probably don't abuse the nuclear reactors. But they should, because it's not just about the power production potential, and the toxic waste production, it's also a personal statement about clean energy and the studio itself.

I'm playing Satisfactory since April 2019, I saw how the game changed and has been growing during this period. I just want to say thanks to the Coffe Stain Studio for their courage to develop so technically hard project and beautiful game. Even now, it looks gorgeous!Don't stop!
I just beat Yagluth yesterday, and I bought Deep Rock Galactic last summer. I know they're developed by two different companies, but they're both published by Coffee Stain. Coffee Stain also has a few other games I've been looking at buying as well
With that said, I would like to buy stock in their company. Not a lot, just throw a few dollars at them every paycheck. I was wondering if their stock is public or not

It blows my mind how many hits Coffee Stain Studios puts out. Sure, it’s personal taste but putting out both this and r/Satisfactory in a short span it’s wild just how fun, engaging, and varied their games are.

When a program forces you or tries to fool you into downloading a malicious partner program, we very much criticize the developers of the former program. Coffee Stain Studios making their game exclusive to the Epic launcher forces the same choice on the users. Whether that was a good move on their parts is not what I here to argue, I'm here to point out that that choice has made everything to do with the Epic Launcer part of their user experience.
I've just spent three hours getting the Epic Launcher to work. Wading through years of user issues and brusque unhelpful and accusatory answers from Epic support. I would have gladly paid a higher price for the 'privilege' of avoiding that experience. As is, I will go into the game with a bitter taste in my mouth, knowing I spent as much time today getting the game to work as I will be able to play it.
