A list of puns related to "Co Operative Multitasking"
Damn, it is really weird to me why people in the left sphere are so shy about arguing in favor of co-ops against neoliberals for example. When there are tens and hundreds of thousands of co-ops in almost every country. There are a LOT of examples, and a lot of variety. A lot of ways for them to get investment, to work, to manage, etc, etc.
For example, apparently according to Destiny, co-ops are dumb and can't have investment because socialism BAD!! Socialists are hippies that don't know Economics 101 and don't watch rick and morty and have a big brain like me!
Even if co-ops couldn't take regular investments like a capitalist institution, they don't give a shit, they are not soy creatures like Destiny, so they fund and create their own credit unions, or Financial Coops. That provide that needed investment. One example is this:
Picture of a lovely bank that is run by dumb leftists employees
Banco Credicoop was established in 1979 through the merger of 44 Argentine credit unions. This was motivated largely by the adverse effect Economy Minister José Alfredo Martínez de Hoz's Financial Entities Law of 1977 had on this sector (From the US backed dictatorship btw). The policy encouraged commercial banks in Argentina to offer high-yield, exotic investments by extending the Central Bank's guarantee to losses accrued from these financial vehicles. This practice collapsed between 1980 and 1982, however, and hundreds of unregulated, non-banking financial institutions, as well as numerous banks, closed.[2][3] Today, Banco Credicoop is Argentina's eleventh-largest bank by total assets and ninth-largest by deposits (US$

A bit of background
The Co-operative Party irl is a completely independent party registered with the electoral commission. It has its own national executive council, staff, membership, and ofc parliamentarians. It has its own manifesto and policy agenda which it works to enact. Its roots to an extent precede that of the Labour Party. Founded in 1917, it is the political arm of the cooperative movement which goes back much further to the 1800s and the establishment of the Coop movement in the UK. It elected its first MP under the Co-op Party banner in 1918, however since 1927 under the Cheltenham agreement it has had an electoral alliance with the Labour Party meaning you can be part of both and have to stand as Labour and Co-op in elections.
The context here is important. Let's not make any pretence that this is some sort of faction or affiliated society. The Labour Party recognises it has a partnership with the Co-op party (often calling it a sister party), not observing it to be a relationship of complete dominance or that the coop party is some satellite party. Some may say "Labour can advocate for coops too". That may be true, but the coop party solely exists to advance the agenda it was established to serve: to be the pure and unchallenged political arm of the cooperative movement, which is actually where it gets its funding from largely. Believe me as a member of both parties irl I can see the difference this makes, and without coop voices the Labour Party would be a much darker place. As this quote in a left foot forward article states:
"In the 20th Century, Co-operative MPs were instrumental in securing for example some of the first environmental and consumer legislation in the 1960s, the creation of a national Co-operative Development Agency in the 1970s, legal recognition for credit unions in 1979, financial support for fairtrade in the 1990s, the creation of Supporters Direct to promote fan ownership in football and of co-operative schools in the 2000s, and the creation of a credit union for the armed forces and their families in 2012."
Sure Labour can do some of this stuff, but the point is it was down to Coop Party voices working alongside

And in Ontario, for instance, if you’re a worker co-op then you have to have co-op in your business’s name, and you can’t have the word co-op in your name if you’re registered as something other than a co-op in that province.
At the same time, there is no international body that declares what is and isn’t a true co-op, and it seems that many people feel that to be called a co-op you just have to follow the Rochdale Principles (and not even necessarily all of them). So if for instance your business isn’t incorporated yet and you haven’t formally paid any members during the startup phase, but you’ve been operating for ~1 year in accordance with the Rochdale principles, would it be wrong to tell people that you’re a co-operative, like maybe on your website or in person? In other words, at what point in your business’s timeline are you a valid co-op?
Our newly released data show that, in 2019, there were 5,812 active non-financial co-operatives in Canada, an increase of 1.5% from 2018. Here are few more highlights:

What is the reason for this? It seems logical that if there is no business owner skimming profits from the company, a worker co-op would have better ability both to produce goods more cheaply and to have higher wages/ standard of working environment for laborers.
As Bakunin stated in The Capitalist System:
>Isn't administrative work also productive work? No doubt it is... But from the point of view of justice and the needs of production itself, it is not at all necessary that this work should be monopolized in my hands... The co-operative associations already have proven that workers are quite capable of administering industrial enterprises, that it can be done by workers elected from their midst and who receive the same wage. Therefore if I concentrate in my hands the administrative power, it is not because the interests of production demand it, but in order to serve my own ends, the ends of exploitation.
I realize that for some sectors, economies of scale or barriers to entry may mean that this is not practically possible. However, there are a lot of areas where small and medium sized businesses can be successful, from restaurants to construction companies to hairdressers. Why aren't more of these businesses organized cooperatively, and is there anything stopping us from introducing more of them now (even within the constraints of current society)?
hey guys, so the society I have been living in, few of the flat owners are not paying up their accumulated maintenance after repeated mentions, what do you think society can do in this matter to collect the maintenance from them?
TL;DR. can the chairman, secretary and other managing committee posts be held by members who own the flat, but not actually reside in the flat?
We have a flat in Mumbai, which we currently do not reside in. Although my sister plans to move in. The said building has been in talks for redevelopment for several years but hasn't progressed much. I am just starting to actively look in the matter and I think I see the problem. I think our chairman, secretary and some of the committee members do not reside in the building. One lives in the neighborhood, some in a different town and one is even out of country for a good portion of the year. The building is about 40 years or so old with lots of deffered maintenance (reason being talks about redevelopment, so no one wants to put in the money to repair either). There are still several units that are owner occupied...
I am curious to know if there are any rules under the Maharashtra co-operative society act or similar undertaking that prevents non occupying members from holding position in the office..it seems silly that people who don't have skin in the game are holding cards and overall slowing down the progress.
I have been thinking about this idea a lot lately, so thought I would present it to see if more people would be interested. I also believe there have been tries before, but still it is something I would be interested in.
The idea would be getting a group of conlangers, the more the merrier but I have no exact amount of people in mind. Then to divide ourselves, with a first group making a first proto language, then 3 people (for example) each taking the language and creating 3 evolved languages from it.
At this point the proto language would be similar to Proto indo-european for example, and the evolved languages would be Proto Arian, Proto Italian, and Proto Germanic for example. Which then would each be taken by other different people to evolve them. This step would then be repeated as many times as possible depending on the amount of people participating. But every time there would be at least 2 sister languages, with the possible exception of the last step. The objective of this is to see the comparison of the languages side by side and how they change, so only evolving 1:1 would defeat the purpose.
The objective would be realism (the fact that different people are taking the language each step without knowing what it looked like in its proto state, and without say in how it evolves once they pass it on should help make things a little more unpredictable just like in real life).
So basically someone passes you a language to which you apply any evolution you want and which you then give to other people that will continue evolving it their own way.
The basic idea is just your classical create a language and a bunch of people evolve it, but there is more to my idea (again totally depending on the amount of people that are interested.) These would be:

I'm wanting to at least make people think about worker-owned co-operatives and how they would benefit from membership. So, I'm going to pop a small (and recyled) paper flyer into some of my neighbourhood's letterboxes to get 'em thinking.
I'm looking for critique on my draft design; keeping in mind that the flyers will be a small A7 (~100mm-70mm)
(feel free to use the flyer!)
I would really love it if we could stop with the selfish or even downright competitive goals in bounties in scenarios that should be otherwise co-operative.
You shouldn't haven't compete with your own team members for kill credit in a multiplayer game in 2020.
You shouldn't have some people throwing crucible or gambit matches because their bounties told them to kill with a specific weapon or to go for 15 motes all the time.
It causes so much unnecessary friction and frustration.
One main reason cited for co-op bank issues is the dual control and the fact that many operational aspects of them are under the state governments. Last year, RBI got control of the larger co-op banks. FY21 budget speech mentioned that this would extend to all co-op banks. An ordnance is likely to be passed to enable this.
