80 minutes. My kid loved it, and it was a fun movie but damn certain parts did not age well.
When I saw the warning pop up on Disney+ that this film had negative depictions of Native Americans, and that’s not okay, I was curious to see how insensitive it was. Damn. I feel like most of the back half of this movie is reductive and offensive. I actually don’t think I’m going to let my little guy watch this again until he’s old enough to really have a nuanced discussion about what he’s watching. If you haven’t seen this movie in a while you’ll probably think this sounds like an overreaction, but it was very uncomfortable to watch.
The story of Peter Pan is well known, and the journey of young children that discover their imagination, playfulness and fun in a home that discourages those traits is captured very well here. One thing I did not pick up on before is that the character of Peter Pan actually grows here as well from well-intentioned impish mischief to becoming more selfless and paternal. This change is subtle but I liked seeing it. Every character here is presented as both flawed and coming from a place of love, and I did enjoy that those two traits can exist at the same time.
The songs were also fun to revisit through the eyes of my little one. I think that 70% of this movie is a sweet tale of growing up without losing your sense of childlike wonder and adventure. But that other 30% is rough, and should not have been in there.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
