This gets tossed around every so often and the general consensus is Drago would demolish Lang. So let's actually make it interesting.
The scenario:
The events of Rocky III happen as normal until the leadup to Rocky's rematch with Clubber. However, the Soviet Union's revealing of Ivan Drago happens while all of this is going on. Rocky and Creed pay no attention to this (too busy training), but Lang, cocky and still thinking himself invincible, decides to schedule an exhibition match just to show ain't nobody got anything on the champ.
He naturally gets his ass blown out of the water in short order. He's younger than Creed and manages to recover physically in time for his match with Rocky, but mentally he is still hung up on it and goes down even easier than he did in the film.
Cut to Lang eating a whoooooooole lot of humble pie. He was nothing compared to Drago and even Rocky demolished him once he actually blocked with something other than his face. Realizing he's a smaller fish than he thought and the pond is an ocean, he sucks it up and turns to Rocky and Creed for training so he can win a rematch vs. Drago.
So yeah, it's Lang going to Moscow for the Christmas fight instead of Rocky, and obviously Apollo is still alive. Feel free to fudge age differences due to the 4 year jump from Rocky III to Rocky IV.
With roughly half a year to train, build up his stamina (which has to be corrected if he's to have any chance), and two champs coaching him, does Lang have even a shot?
Watching it again I wondered this, surely it's not to watch rockys style it's a silly exhibition...maybe clubber just generously paid for the ticket for charity? What a kind man.

I have 3500 UWMC shares and 280 calls of various price points and dates and am down a lot but I remain optimistic as I believe UWMC has the right strategy focusing on helping mortgage brokers grow their businesses vs doing direct-to-consumer loans.

I've read a lot of reviews from mortgage brokers that love UWMC because they are faster, easier, and cheaper for processing loans. Speed is especially important in the hot housing markets.
I believe UWMC is like the Rocky of stocks. A fierce competitor, takes a beating but outworks everyone and figures out how to win in the end. (Stallone is an investor so maybe he knows this too)
Rocky Balboa (UWMC) vs Clubber Lang (Hedge Funds, Bears, Shorts, TP Hands, etcβ¦)
Fight 1
In Round 1, Rocky comes out swinging and lands a bunch of punches but they donβt seem to phase Clubber, just make him mad. Clubber is too powerful and knocks Rocky into oblivion in the second round. (UWMC comes out swinging and riding high with SPAC momentum but the big money hedge funds/shorts are too powerful and destroy UWMC, knocking the price from $14 down to the low 7βs within 2 months.)
Fight 2
Rocky comes out swinging again in round 1 and lands about 95% of his punches and barely gets touched by Clubber but Clubber again doesnβt seem phased by it. (UWMC comes out with great earnings, housing market is hot, etc... but none of that seems to matter as the bears continue to beat down the stock.)
In the second round, Rocky is connecting on a lot of punches again (Russell Inclusion, Mat Ishbia on Cramer, some traction on WSB, and briefly touches $12 a share) but Clubber then demolishes Rocky for the rest of the round (UWMC not included in Russell, UWMC Ultimatum drama, etc... and the bears knock UWMC back down into the 7's but the bears can't believe UWMC keeps getting back up from huge punches)
I believe we are now in the third round. Rocky taunts Clubber and tells him to keep hitting him. Rocky keeps taking big shot after big shot which frustrates Clubber that he can't knock out Rocky. Rocky finally exhausts Clubber and knocks him out with a huge right to the chin. (UWMC blow out earnings, special dividend, Russell Inclusion, new Analyst buy ratings, and other positive news hopefully knocks out the bears for good and launches UWMC to $12 to $15+ within the next few months)
Black Widow is excellent at taking down enemies bigger and stronger than herself. She does it all the time. She wrecked a boxing Happy Hogan, but how would she do against some of the greatest heavyweight boxers there have ever been?!
Can MCU Black Widow beat Rocky and all of his opponents in a gauntlet? How about all at once?
Fights take place in a boxing ring. Boxers are in boxing gear and at peak. Nat is in her normal Black Widow gear, but not dead.
Who wins? Black Widow or the boxers of the Rocky-verse?
Round 1: Black Widow fights them one at a time. Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, Thunderlips, Ivan Drago, Tommy Gun, Mason Dixon, then Rocky himself. Black Widow is unarmed.
Round 2: Black Widow has to fight them all at once, but she has her weapons and stuff. Taser things, batons, wire thing, etc.
Both fighters seem to be the heaver hitter, brawling type. I feel the Viktor may take this one but on the other hand Lang seems to be more durable given that the older films were less grounded in reality.
I've seen all kinds of parallels drawn between Rocky, Apollo, and Clubber, especially ones comparing one of them in a sequel, to another in a previous movie. The most quotes ones are the those comparing Clubber to Rocky in the first film, but most of them end when Clubber becomes champion. To be fair, the film itself doesn't show us Clubber between the first bout and the rematch, but I believe enough is shown about the character to know what he would be doing and how we would be training. What I rarely see is a stand-alone Clubber character analysis. I feel like the feather earring wearing, pain predicting, fool pitying boxer is one of the most underrated boxers in the film series, and I would like to share my opinion about him:
Clubber is nothing like Rocky. Clubber is rude, seeing how he treats reporters in his locker room. Clubber know what he wants to do with his life, and he works hard to be the best at it. Rocky's hard working ethics are a result of his kindness to people, and his poor background; if he had it easier, he would be an average joe. This is admitted by Stallone himself in Rocky Balboa and the Creed films, having Rocky say that he had a good life as a whole. It's also somewhat alluded to as early as Rocky II, when Mickey doesn't want to train Rocky for a rematch with Apollo. Rocky didn't sacrifice anything for "later". Clubber is the king of guy to work now, enjoy life later. His hard working ethics are a reason, not a result, of all the other aspects of his character.
Clubber is the best because he wants to be the best. Rocky is the best because he was lucky a manager spotted him. I dare even say Clubber is all work and no talent. That's why we never hear anything about the team behind him.
Both Rocky and Clubber had proven they were championship material before they earned the belt. Rocky had gone 15 rounds with Apollo, and Clubber walked through the heavyweight division to become a legitimate number 1 contender. The difference is their attitude in between the "contendership" and the title fight, and what they do after they earn the belt. What you'll notice is that I don't talk about "the match" and "the rematch", but about the match that earned them a title shot. Rocky shouldn't have fought Apollo in the first movie. It was their first match that earned him a shot at the title. Clubber had earned his shot before the first match against Rocky.
**Rocky does not consider himself championship material when everyone else doe
... keep reading on reddit β‘Ivan drago from rocky 4 and clubber lang from rocky 3, they both have their teams from their respective movies. A classic 15 round boxing match, who would win?
