I know this is a silly question, I'm 100% serious though! My hair is about 11 inches at its longest point right now and I want to cut part of it down to 3ish inches, but I don't feel comfortable with a pair of scissors at all. I found this site that sells clipper guards that will cut hair to 3 inches, but they're made for clipping animal fur. Here's what they look like, this is the six inch one, the three inch one looks very similar. Could I use this on my hair or would that end badly?

I am looking for an electric animal clipper. We moved a couple of months ago and my neurotic dog has the habit of chewing on himself due to a bad case of nerves from the upset (to him, anyway) of the move. He is a long-haired dog and he has matted himself up with the fur-chewing. I prefer to shave him myself for two reasons - the cost of grooming a large dog and the fact that he will get weird all over again if he has to be left somewhere without me so a stranger can give him a haircut. He is a rescue with "issues." If anyone has an old clipper or an extra clipper hanging around that they can live without it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for reading this!
