A list of puns related to "Clint Ballard, Jr."
Is there another GM, that picked so successfully or even better?
In his first address at General Conference, current president of the quorum of the twelve apostles, M Russell Ballard, stated that as a kid he sat on the steps in the tabernacle to watch conference and thought that was the closest he would ever be to the pulpit.
He ironically commented to his friend, βIt sure would be nice to be a General Authority; then you would have one of those big red chairs to sit in.β
Even as a kid he recognized the benefits of being higher in the hierarchy and sought it out.
If there is a God, She will strike down Dallin Oaks before Oaks can become president of the church. If thatβs the case, Ballard will become president.
I think it would be worth looking into what this upcoming dude might do to either fix Nelsonβs mistakes or exacerbate the problems.
If Ballard or Oaks arenβt it, Dodo Holland will be president, and I think most of us are more familiar with his taffy-pulling antics.
I didnβt know much about Nelson before he became president, but we would have been able to predict his Anti-Mormon dictates if we had investigated him beforehand.
If Oaks becomes president, I know a lot of people will immediately send in their resignations. I wonder if Ballard would have much of a reaction.
I have to vent. My friend and I go to this gym and really love it. Most people are very considerate, wear their masks, keep to themselves and are thoughtful of othersβ space and time on weights/machines. But every now and then thereβs some absolute douche lord who either keeps their mask below their chin or, in todays case, in their pocket (while blaring music without headphones).
My friend and I workout together and also happen to be in healthcare. She works with ecmo pts in the ICU (many w/ Covid) and I have worked with Covid pts and in palliative/end-of-life care, both while juggling grad school. Weβve each seen a LOT of people die, and have most recently been dealing with staffing shortages and high patient loads with v acute pts as a result of the omicron surge. To say weβre burnt out isβ¦a bit of an understatement. But so is everyone in healthcare right now. And everyone in general! We get that. (I also happen to be on a rotation working with highly immunocompromised oncology pts and am trying to be safe while working out in an N95 at all times.)
Anyhowβ¦my friend asks the guy to put in some headphones and to please wear his mask. He says no headphones but wears the mask. For two minutes. Then itβs back in his pocket it goes. I then go talk to one of the front desk people, bc in my experience dudes at the gym donβt listen to women smaller than they are. Nobody comes. Then my friend talks to the manager and finally two people (a man and woman) go over and talk to him. Theyβre there for a while and heβs clearly talking back, so I go over bc Iβve had it. I am speaking calmly but confidently and he asks why I am βcoming over there like I have any authority,β likely because heβs not used to a woman speaking to him this way (thereβs a vibe these types of guys put off and he had it). He says βhow am I supposed to drink water with my mask on?β Oy vey, dude. I think you can figure it out.
We finally disperse but my friend and I are so pissed it came to this that we leave. On the way out, I thank the man and woman who went to speak to him. The woman tells me sheβs actually the most senior manager there, but always brings one of her male employees with her because guys at the gym never listen to her (sheβs also very petite). Itβs SO annoying this is even an issue!!!
Iβm sick of masks, too. I truly, deeply am. I wear them at the gym, and I wear them on average 50-60+hrs each week between school and clinical rotations. I get how frustrating they are. But I w

Wentz has the running back and offensive line to be successful in this league. Hell, even his tight ends are decent. One big receiver addition and Wentz is out of excuses.

Ballard's gambles this off season:
- Autry wasn't worth the money / guarantees he wanted
- The young pass rushers (Turay, Lewis) could get it done
- Eric Fisher could come back from his injury
- TY had enough gas in the tank
- We could use our second rounder on an injured pass rusher
- Carson Wentz could be "the guy"?
Any that I'm forgetting? Any that actually worked?
