A list of puns related to "Climax London"
Can you imagine being a wizard in one of the most densely populated cities on earth and encountering a pack of thestrals eating out of the trash like spooky raccoons? Better yet, can muggles who have seen death see them?
It's bad enough Ron and Hermione and Ginny had to ride in from Scotland on something invisible. I hope the thestrals had the good sense to head home once they got a snack.
Edit: thank you everyone for the awards and amazing comments! :β) I hope everyone found new movies to watch from my list! I apologize for formatting issues, Iβm on mobile.

(There are still quite a few movies I havenβt been able to find (looking at you Roh and Ghost Town Anthology) or just havenβt gotten around to (Synchronic, Come True, the list goes on))

#Picks Of The Week (by u/lefuniname)
####1. AL/SO, Sovryn - Insanity EP [Korsakov Music] Recommended if you like: Toronto Is Broken, Smooth, DC Breaks
Oh would you look at that, a review about a dancefloor release! Yes, go away /u/TELMxWILSON, I like this stuff too much to not write about it.
This week's first pick is a 3-track collaboration EP by two names you might not know too much about yet: AL/SO and Sovryn. Let's start with AL/SO and see where the story takes us, shall we?
AL/SO, also known as ALSO, also known as Baromar, also known as that Elmar guy, is a dutch producer with a not quite typical backstory. Back when he was still just Elmar van Eijk, he used to do field reports about the latest events he went to. He wrote for Clownsville, which lead him to writing for All Electronic Music, which progressed to him writing for Drumandbass.nl. Around 2014 he expanded his skill repertoire to also (I am so damn hyper aware of every single "also" in this paragraph) include DJing, as he started tearing up dancefloors around the world as Baromar. One fateful day around 2015, he went out to make a report about a new Rotterdam-based event called Korsakov. At that point Korsakov was still very much in its infancy, but still generating quite a lot of buzz by managing to book huge artists like The Prototypes, DC Breaks and Black Sun Empire. At that particular event, Elmar met and befriended the minds behind the already hugely successful event series, Sami Dmitrovic an

And, if I'm being honest, the recommendations people offer feel samey. Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge anyone who recommends A Practical Guide to Evil, popular web serials or Brandon Sanderson's output, but the pool of works people are suggesting is very small and insular. To rectify that, I want to recommend some works that I think will appeal to Wildbow fans that don't get talked up.
To be clear, this post is recommending non-Wildbow works. If you recently finished Worm and want to pick your next Wildbow book, use u/thetntm's handy flowchart.
I have selected each work here because I feel they possess something from Wildbowβs stories. For fans of the Othervese and Twig in particular, I picked works with substantial genre overlap. However, I also tried to ensure other characteristics were covered. I tried to pick works with creative, intelligently used superpowers, works which used speculative elements to explore characters or social issues and works which contain plot revelations about their settings on par with Wormβs. I think there is a little something here for anyone who likes Wildbowβs works. In the interest of fairness, I also included some downsides to each series. These are a mixture of widely recognized flaws and ways in which the work might not scratch that Wildbow itch despite being on the list. Keep in mind that many of these works arenβt necessarily obscure (some are downright famous), but simply overlooked on this subreddit despite me feeling they have appeal to Wildbow fans.
Without further ado, away we go.
The Shadow Campaigns (Django Wexler): The Shadow Campaigns is a military fantasy series set in a world inspired by Napoleonic-era Europe and North Africa. The author is a military history geek, and that shows in the amount of detail he puts into the story; everything about military life, from musket drills to supply chain logistics to class conflict is considered here. Unlike many military fiction authors, Wexler also does excellent character writing, and his books have a memorable and diverse cast. However, what makes this series appealing to Wildbow fans is the magic system. Some people in th

This second season wanted to distinguish itself from the first. To do this it challenged us to think of the morality of revenge. Makes us question how far is too far. Pushes us into uncomfortable territory. But it wasn't enough to just make Nanno 'break bad'. It sounds weird to say it, but Nanno was a character that did have her own set of morals and judgements. And she was a godlike character that acted on those. People who agreed with her set of morals may see themselves as 'Chaotic Good' or 'Chaotic Neutral'. I don't think she was evil, but rather enjoyed exposing the evil within humanity and creating consequences for the evil when otherwise it would go free and be rampant.
The position of Yuri is more of an evil character, or a nihilistic character that really just wants to see the world burn. It doesn't care for what is right or wrong, there is not such thing. All of humanity deserves to die. Yuri is the challenge to us. Are we so good that we can judge others wrong or right? To what degree can our judgements, should our judgements affect the lives of others.
When I was watching season 2, like in season 1, I was ready for more exploits. To see more of society exposed. But I felt like Nanno and I were being exposed, or attempted to. First episode was return to form. How genius it was that a womanizing abuser would get to experience the pain of their victims. It felt like a suitable judgement. It felt right. Like someone realizing how their actions were affecting others by experiencing it first hand.
The second episode feels a bit like a one-off, a bit more comedic and I liked it for what it was. The ending was hilarious and somehow inspiring.
But that third episode, Minnie and the Four Bodies, was too much. I felt bad for Minnie. At the beginning of the episode, the circumstances are very much like Season 1 Episode 8 Lost & Found. So much so I thought we'd maybe get an episode where Nanno empathizes with Minnie. But then it got to the part where the revenge came in and it was just too much. I couldn't watch I felt so uncomfortable. And its not like I can empathize with Minnie, I have never been a "rich kid" and haven't ever even driven a car, much less drunk.
The thing is, I agree with the premise that it's horrible that people can pay their way out of consequences for their actions. But Minnie's character was a kid, someone d

Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.
The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:
"What's sarong with that?"
I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).
His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.

True story; it even happened last night. My 5-year-old son walks up behind me and out of the blue says, "hey."
I turn to him and say, "yeah, kiddo? What's up?"
He responds, "it's dead grass."
I'm really confused and trying to figure out what's wrong and what he wants from me. "What? There's dead grass? What's wrong with that?"

He says, totally straight-faced, "hay is dead grass," and runs off.

Hi guys, I came here to tell you about how I got into following Orient, even though I am from Eastern Europe. I thought perhaps this could be interesting for you. I will also have a question to you at the end of this post.
So I am Polish, but I used to live in London for a few months back in 2005. I was a student back then and I managed to get into some kind of a traineeship programme at my University. It allowed me to get few months of work experience in one of the corporations in the City. I was extatic to be able to live abroad for the fist time in my life. And oh man, I was going to London, of all places! This was the time when Poland had just joined EU and travelling and staying in the UK became so much easier for us Poles (as I am sure many of you are aware from the waves of immigrants you have been experiencing since).
I was renting a small room in Leyton. I have always been a footbal fan, so you know what comes next. Before I visited Brisbane Road for the first time I had known virtually nothing about Leyton Orient, except for the fact that such club existed. Those days it was realy hard for me to imagine a weekend without football, so I just had to go and experience an Orient game.
