Who Is J. Cole?

While this could have been a bio, I think a sum of all of his works applies more in this scenario. From the gate, The Warm-Up proved Cole was here to stay, or he SHOULD be.. From his personal rendition of “Dead Presidents”, “Til Infinity”, and “Royal Flush” its obvious to see he had the skills to be a complete rapper. This was in an era where flips and freestyles were important because you could put your lyricism over a beat people had already come to know and love, and in a lot of ways, it was a true test of abilities. Then with songs like “Losing Your Balance '' Cole shows its not just witty flips or plays on what's already done. He talks about various people he has seen in his life and how one way or another, due to being too concerned with others opinions, an idea of being real to the neighborhood that birthed you, or flat out losing yourself in a relationship, Cole doesn't miss a step.

Friday Night Lights would be the next release from him, and in my opinion it is one of the greatest mixtapes ever released. It was filled with a lot of songs that didn't make his debut album Sideline Story, but from start to finish it feels like a beast all its own. Hey, so I'll try and keep this as short as possible :)

3 months ago I (29M) met someone (25F) completely out of the blue, neither of us we're looking for it, but we had a weird amount in common, despite being in a city neither of us grew up in, we've both lived all over the world, I happen to meet someone that grew up drinking on the same park, with similar friends in common, both had very parallel lives in terms of child trauma, been a part of charity tours across the world, and both happen to have grown up with circus. We later realise we had the same child bereavement counselor growing up too. Turns out, on paper we're incredibly similar, we both seemingly tick everything we want in a partner, and everything seems so weirdly connected. On top of that, we both seemingly had similar views on Polyamory, now, meeting another poly person seems rare in my life, let alone to have all these things in common.

So, what's the issue?
Well, recently things are getting a bit much for me. In those 3 months, I've become more and more micro-managed, She openly admits she wants a strong primary relationship, bearing in mind I've been with my other partner for 10 years who my new partner has called 'baggage' several times and refuses to meet.

She has pretty strong ADHD which comes with a really high IQ, super creative lateral thinker. A master's in circus directing, a PhD in psychology. The reason I'm covering this isn't to show off, but rather show the contrast between how her brain works compared to mine.

She is also very extroverted and I'm very much the opposite, especially given her intelligence I feel like she wears the trousers in the relationship. I'm a very laid-back guy who just goes with the flow, I don't plan anything really and just like to live in the moment making it so easy for her to take charge.

I earn a decent living, she's very aware of this which results in me paying for everything, having to drive her all over the country to go see her friends, do work gigs, etc, all paid for by me because she's currently struggling for work due to covid. This would all be fine except it's always expected and I receive hardly any gratitude, in fact, I'm made to feel really bad if I don't. She very much has the attitude that 'if you care about money, to any degree, you're less of a person. (think free spirit, traveling hippy)

She gets so angry in the mornings due to night terrors which lead to arguments where I always feel like I'm being gaslig

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Seeing so many post about how we have entered Crypto Winter, or entered a correction of the market and some stating this is a Bear market.

Everyone love to say how "No one knows sh*t about f*ck", yet everyone is coming with his own comment of what's happening.

Very well described in the investopedia bear market definition : " One definition of a bear market says markets are in bear territory when stocks, on average, fall at least 20% off their high. But 20% is an arbitrary number, just as a 10% decline is an arbitrary benchmark for a correction. "

Please pay attention to this word in bold ARBITRARY.

• What is a Crypto Winter? :

Well.... according to... tokenize exchange... (not my proudest source to use but the quickest I could find clearish enough) " Crypto winter refers to the worst period of the market when crypto prices including Bitcoin and other digital currencies are stuck at a low level following a bearish trend. This phenomenon often appears in the middle of the crypto long-term downtrend. "

I have a personal issue with this last term for describing the market, for two reason. First where the heck does this expression come from? Second lets call it what it is.. It's a Bear market. in my opinion "Crypto Winter" should be the equivalent to a recession, but that's only my opinion and should not matter.

TL;DR: There is no evidence that the alleged author of the commit works for, or has ever worked for LR; the code on GitHub could have been modified and inserted by anyone, and authorship could have been faked because Winda Tang has failed to activate appropriate account security; The reference in the code to a domain allegedly registered to GS, could have been inserted by anyone, and the domain name could have been looked up with trivial effort; there is major financial motivation for a third party scammer to do all this as part of a pump and dump; The real value in the NFT project is all on the Gamestop side, not the block chain side i.e. the development of the content of the NFT and its possible integration into novel gaming experiences/environments/economies is what is important.

Background/What’s this all about: someone found some super-hype bit of code on GitHub and the sub blew up with speculation about a “collaboration” between GS and a company called LR (^(not its real name)). Naturally, the c0in shilling commenced immediately. I draw heavily on arguments/points/evidence raised in the comments of that post, but I don’t always attribute because I don’t want to seem to call anyone out. They are apes trying to get to the bottom of things, just like the rest of us, and I thank them for their work/insight. Please treat them with respect for their efforts and for their apeliness.

There hasn't been a post all year!

My best friend and I have always been bothered by how many fairly important Houses (either powerful or being the Houses of important characters) don’t have official mottos, compared to several minor houses that do.

For a spot of fun over a few pints, we sat down and thought of words for important Houses without any, and a few for some Houses we just think are cool (or funny in the case of House Lipps).

We’d love to get some feedback on them! Some are self-explanatory ideas, so I figured I’d offer explanations behind our thinking upon request in the comments. I have now added explanations and justifications for everything.

The Stormlands

• House Dondarrion: Strike Twice, Strike True. House Dondarrion is a marcher house likely founded by knight-commanders on the frontier with Dorne, and their arms depict a lightning bolt with 2 points moving between stars. Lightning never strikes twice, they say, but House Dondarrion believes in doing the impossible and doing it right, based on Beric’s determination for his rather difficult task.

• House Tarth: Our Star Shines On. The Lords of Tarth call themselves the Evenstar and have since the “beginning of days”. They have a Sun on a pink field (clearly sunset) and a moon in the evening. As some bright stars in the real world can be seen at sunset, it seems fitting that the Evenstar’s constant strength is the real hidden focus of their heraldry.

• House Connington: Up in the Sky!. This motto would be answered by the canon Connington war cry of “A griffin! A griffin!” It makes sense as a response, and Griffin’s Roost is on a large outcropping, and both Griffins on the arms are rearing up. GRRM also has tons of pop culture references within houses, so those are definitely on the table. In this case “Look up in the sky! It’s a…”

• House Cole: Burn Hot, Burn Bright. The arms seem to depict Coals in a fire, and House Coles known members (Criston and the GC Exiles) all seem ambitious and passionate men.

• House Estermont: Ride the Tide. The Estermonts also very quickly move from Renly to Stannis to Joffrey, riding the wave of power as it shifts in Westeros. GRRM loves seaturtles, and is rather laid back and a little hippy, so it seemed perfect to make a slight reference to the hippy seaturtles in Finding Nemo.

• House Selmy: We Toil On. House Selmy, despite being marcher lords (thus facing Dornish incursion) and poor Stormlander weather, are one of the breadbaskets of the Stormlands. Barrist

I posted this some time ago to the MBTI sub. Looking for feedback from more knowledgeable people + made some updates.

Late 30s woman. US American from the best coast. I've been acquainted with MBTI for about 20 years. I've taken the official test. I've read Jung's Psychological Types and just about every other relevant book on MBTI/Jungian types. Family and friends also have opinions on my type. But now I'd like to know what a group of strangers on Reddit think - and WHY! You must explain WHY!

Added - I’m less familiar with socionics but am interested in my socionics type too.

• Is there a medical diagnosis that may impact your mental stability somehow?

No.

• Describe your upbringing. Did it have any kind of religious or structured influence? How did you respond to it?

I grew up in a religious home, but it wasn’t strict. My parents are what I call “hippy Christians”. They are relaxed people but also kinda doormats, not good at providing much structure or being decisive, etc. I’m not a fan of very regimented environments but find myself more ambitious than them.

Anyhow, I found it easy to believe in God & spiritual stuff as a child. I tended to spot inconsistencies in any belief system though, and it would bug me sometimes; as an adult, spiritual truth is something I seek. But the metaphysical stuff interested me enough to overlook what I saw as more of a flaw in a social system designed to bring people together who share a faith. I now privately think a lot of stuff that would make some people in my parents’ church think I’m nuts because I lean towards esoteric interpretations. I decided I don’t like organized religion or organized groups based on ideaologies. I don’t like creating an identity based on this stuff. I like to feel free to change my mind about stuff at will.

My dad and step-dad are both creative people - artist and musician. My mom is more of a traditional house wife type, but obviously she likes artists. So my family very much values the arts and intellectual stuff. They like culture a lot. My mom’s side is Hispanic and very emotionally expressive; they’re stereotypically fiery and passionate.

I was often accused of being cold growing up, but at the same time, the stuff I gravitated towards was acceptable; they aren’t “down to earth” people, but romantic. I was raised going to museums, libraries, art galleries, etc. Instead o
