[MAJOR ASB] Here's the idea. After Clare recorded her vocals for Great Gig in the Sky and Dark Side was a success, the other members, floored by her amazing performance, requested she join the band full time, becoming the equivalent of their female touring singers, but as a full time member with her own level of creative control? How would the band's future album's turn out (similar vocal performances in the background and foreground, possibly singing lead on Have A Cigar, or maybe occasional songwriting credits)? Please let me know what timelines you can make!

I know of the legal issues, but I've always wanted to get an autographed piece from her to complete a set of DSOTM items for framing. Nothing on eBay from what I can see. Any ideas?

In my opinion it's a song that causes so much emotion and passion. It always get me in the feels, and always gives me the comfort that I need. The slide guitar at the start almost always brings me close to tears. The impeccable vocals produce so much emotion, and the flow is perfect. And it exist primarily because of one man. Richard Wright - One of (if not the) most underrated musicians of all time. It started with a chord progression he wrote , and it blossomed into this masterpiece of a song, in what is in my opinion, the single greatest album of music ever created.

I remember a few months ago we were talking about Clare Torry singing The Great Gig in the Sky and what it was all about. They just mentioned they asked her to improvise her part and to “think about death” and people dying.

So I just wanted to let y’all know this documentary/movie is on and it sounds best while listening with headphones on.

• Nick Mason receives a rare solo writing credit for Speak to Me, though recollections differ as to the reasons for this. Mason states that he created the track himself, whereas Wright and Waters stated the credit was a "gift" to Mason to give him some publishing income.
