So I am staying with a family member in crystal river, and behind her property are dense woods that go way back to a larger ranch, last night I woke up and looked out the window and saw a thin white humanoid standing about 7 to 8ft tall with big black eyes staring at something, I immediately grabbed my pistol off my nightstand and went under the blankets, I wasn't gonna try and kill the thing, any idea what it was or any other sightings in the general area of something similar?

Ever-so-often, my wife and daughter walk our family dog at The Flying Eagle Preserve which was once a Boy Scout Camp. The road the Preserve is located on is even called “Boy Scout Road” and is in close proximity to the Withlacoochie River.
Today she seen something, a type of creature... It was 6-8 ft. tall... she described it as a “Shimmer” resembling the camouflaged form of The Hunter in the PREDATOR movies refracting sunlight which was refracted in subtle blues, pinks and yellow (rainbow-ish) with a silhouette that would suggest it had a long tail (as long as it was tall) and feathers.
It was really hard for her to put into words but I wanted to post something here to see if anyone has any ideas or even connection to indigenous beliefs or otherwise.
The creature did not approach them... Possibly due to the dog which also noticed it but he couldn’t afford much in the way of description. That was a joke, for brevity... Anyway, any input is welcomed. Especially from nearby or regional Redditors. Thanks
EDIT: After many responses, I’m ready to say that this encounter is similar enough to the Glimmer Man Phenomenon to be classified as such.

I live in citrus county Florida i am homeless at the moment if there is anyone around the area with any spare camping gear to help me and my fiance survive it would be much appreciated. We already have a tent and sleeping bags. We need mess kits and cooking utensils as well as a way to cook any help is appreciated
