A list of puns related to "Circles Of Sustainability"
If nature suddenly changed how it worked and no animal could eat another living, breathing creature, would life be able to sustain itself
PREFACE: As far as gachas go, I've only ever played FEH, so please feel free to comment how other gacha address the problems I'm going to be speaking about here. Additionally, I quit about a month ago because I understand I have issues with addiction, in this case gambling, so pardon if I get any of my facts wrong. For all I know, IS has released Swift Impact 6 in that time, and I'm just not aware lol.
I really don't know how much longer Fire Emblem Heroes is going to survive for, and that's kind of a weird thought to have. I started this game right around launch and only recently quit, so I've played a game with occasional breaks for 2 years. So thinking about the future in that constrained view of time makes you think about the direction the game is going, and whether it's the right direction to go. Recently, we've seen the increasing pace of powercreep, with the addition of a new, powerful unit type, Tier 4 skills with extra effects, Gen 3 BST and more. It's almost like Book III is an allegory for FEH dying ecksdee. While this is troubling, it isn't the root of the problem. These skills are aimed at whales who either want a shiny new statline or a skill to put on their arena armors, and the majority of players are still going to be able to beat these powerful, low merge units with their heavily merged favorites.
One of the main aspects of the game is building up units with different skills and builds in order to take on maps and challenges present in the Special Maps and Various modes in the game, and that basic cycle is pretty fun. It's cool to finally merge your unit to +10, seeing how their super high-end skills and weapons interact to beat opponents and support their team in the competitive modes. Or, it could be giving skills to a unit you don't plan to merge or 4β+10 so they can better serve as a counter or supporter in modes like Arena Assault. The problem arises when trying to find different builds for your units, however. There are many, many garbage skills as fodder from launch units that don't work on all but highly niche builds (Obstruct, Armored/Warding Blow, Seals) or are just outclassed by other skills that have the same purpose (Brazen>Defiant, Dual Spur>Spur). There are some launch skills that are pretty good and have good synergy potential from launch, specifically Fury, Desperation, QR and to a lesser extent DB and Vantage. And these 5 skills are perniciously ruining the game.
I've spoken to a few friends online and s

Good morning essential workers. I'm putting together a survey and interviews to look into safer, more effective, and sustainable PPE products and I would love to get some insight from front-line workers on the subject. Please feel free to take part in a simple survey. Thank you and please stay strong and stay safe. https://forms.gle/oiTpVarRWnDUoaci6
Hello, reddit! Iβm David Roberts, a journalist at Vox. Iβve spent 15 years writing about the dangers of climate change and the many ways to address it, from renewable energy to nuclear power to electric vehicles to microgrids.
In the last few years, Iβve gotten more interested in another piece of the sustainability puzzle: urban design. Research already shows that, in addition to their many other advantages, dense, walkable cities reduce the per-capita carbon emissions of residents.
So, back in October, I spent 10 days in Barcelona, Spain, looking into that cityβs comprehensive urban plan, which would reclaim more than half the streets now devoted to cars for mixed-use public spaces, or βsuperblocks.β Since then, Iβve put together a five-part series about the plan, its implementation, and its possible future.
I donβt want to toot my own horn, but if youβre interested in cities, this story will blow you away. When I first heard about the plan, I assumed it was too good to be true, that I must be misunderstanding it, or missing something.
But no. It really is as fantastically ambitious as it sounds. If it is seen through to completion β and thereβs plenty of controversy over whether that will happen β almost 70 percent of street space in Barcelona will be devoted to people. That means cars, if they use those streets at all, must move at walking speed and share the space with pedestrians and cyclists.
This isnβt some far-off dream, either. The city has already built two superblocks, is in the midst of implementing five more, and eventually plans up to 500. My story looks into the programβs history so far, the challenges it faces, that the possibilities opened up by a true city for people β a city in which most land isnβt for cars and most people donβt have one.

Im trying to raise awareness of these buildings, as i feel like they are the key to a better future!
Hi! I am looking to download sustainable reports, and ideally I need one website that presents CSR reports of companies... instead of visiting individual company's website to look for reports. UN Global Compact provides that, but only for 'participant' companies in the UN GC. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Iβm hoping to start a discussion about environmental sustainability, especially with makeup packaging. Just recently, I saw Lushβs 1 minute video about their new unpackaged lipsticks that you can insert into your current lipstick. They essentially function as a lipstick refill that wonβt send anything to the landfill. Iβm honestly pretty impressed with this launch (but have not tried the actual lipstick yet), and I think other brands can learn from Lush!
What other brands are setting an example with their environmentally-friendly products that are worthy of acknowledgement? Or heck, which brands ffed up lately?
Looking into the Alaska dividend a bit more, I'm worried that Andrew's UBI may inadvertently have negative consequences in the future, particularly on the environment. Consider the Alaska case: Since the dividend is funded by oil, the state government has a huge incentive to continue drilling, environmental consequences be damned. There's a similar case of perverse incentives in highway funding: By linking gasoline taxes to road funding, the government has some incentive to discourage fuel-efficient and electric vehicles. Bottom line: You can't use a non-sustainable source to fund a sustainable program, especially if society's goal is to remove that non-sustainable source entirely (e.g. stop burning fossil fuels.)
In the case of Andrew's UBI, being sourced from a VAT encourages the government to promote consumer spending. This isn't necessarily a problem; however, encouraging people to buy things frivolously just to generate revenue would likely exacerbate our environmental problems. Earth obviously isn't a closed system, but there's no guarantee that we'll come up with a way to maintain our current standard of living sustainably. How can we ensure that UBI, which is meant to be solvent indefinitely, can also be funded indefinitely from sources that we aren't intending to get rid of?
This might be a long shot but I would like to make sure I exhaust all my options. I also apologize if this is quite a long post.
I have a Master's degree in Energy System from Australia, and >5yrs work experience in the RE industry prior to moving here 2 months ago. I tried to apply for several jobs now (>15) but without any luck, even in securing an interview. I attended a workshop in employment readiness to ensure that my resume, cover letter, and even my attitude is aligned with Canadian workplace norms. I also enrolled myself in a BCIT part-time course to learn new skills and know the standards and policies when it comes to energy efficiency in BC. I am currently a volunteer in an organization in my field to build my network while ensuring that I can contribute to a great cause especially now that I have tons of free time. I also got approved in a wage subsidy program which will give some sort of an incentive to an employer who will help me land my first job here in Vancouver. For those who had the same experience when they are starting out, are there other things that I can do to increase my chances of getting hired?
One thing that I feel like "stuck" and can't think of any immediate actionable course is driving. 60% of the job openings in my field require a full Class 5 license. I was a new driver in my home country before moving to Canada and so, at best, I can only secure Class 7 N.
If anyone of you has any leads or is part of a company in the RE or sustainability field, appreciate if you can leave a comment or we can converse in private. Thanks to everyone who reads this post and provides any tips.
