A list of puns related to "Château De Chinon"
The Château de Puilaurens has a very striking architecture, standing on the top of a very accidented rock, its building alone raises questions of how it was done. But what got me wondering was its use in battle.
I could not find any resource talking about sieges or tactical uses of the Chateau. The only reference is about its involvement during theAlbigensian Crusade against the Cathar heresy on the 13th century.
My assumption is that it'd be near to impossible to invaded it without artillery and still very hard even with guns. But that would be necessary, as it also seems to me that maintaining supply of the castle, its small area and impractical sorties.
I imagine it being used as a very strong position to defend a lord from a stronger force while waiting for reinforcements .
Maybe it was little used, but there are similar structures that can reveal what's its intended use.
But I don't have anything to back or correct this assumptions, so I ask you.
