A list of puns related to "Chronicles Of Chaos"
So the first tabletop game I got really into in terms of lore was Warhammer 40,000. I was naturally attracted to Chaos because I always gravitate to the "dark gods" or "evil cults" of settings with them. So think Word Bearers or Chaos Cults or anything that emphasizes the religious aspect. Robes, rites, devotions to occult powers - I love it all. I had a special fondness for all things Slaanesh and after S/He I liked Nurgle best.
I have a rough grasp of VTM. (Still trying to learn more but it's not cheap getting all these books) Indeed, even though I started with Bloodlines. I was more interested in the Sabbat than the Camarilla or the Anarchs because the Sabbat seemed to be the only faction that indulged in the wonders of being a vampire. You're an immortal descendant of a mythical, godlike figure! Why make things so mundane and boring when you have every reason to indulge in mysticism and the darkly exotic?
The Baali felt like they are right up my alley and I've been reading their Clanbook.
I was also curious about the Toreador? It seems like a Toreador could easily gravitate to Slaanesh-like perversions and extremes.
Some people on Something Awful suggested The Wyrm from WtA and the Nephandi from Mages. What do you all think?
And I have no clue if anything from Chronicles fits....
Thank you all.
Hi folks!
I felt something strange today, which took me a while to identify... I believe it is referred to as Happiness, which I must say is rather nice....
The Booze Goblin half-heartedly chimes in Shh, don't tell 'em Preciousss, you'll Jinx it... How about having a Beer with me to celebrate?...
^(*I can tell his heart isn't really in it, and he's just doing it because that's what Booze Goblins do...)
Sod off, Booze Goblin, how did you get in here? I thought I'd changed the locks...
Anyway, I'm writing this little update as a sort of diary entry to myself, as it always helps to get my thoughts written out, but I know a few of you have been following my story and like reading my ramblings, so this is for you lot too...
So, quick summary of the back story: since beginning recovery from a 15-year drink problem 70 days ago (with the enormously valuable help of this sub and my doctor), life has been gradually going in a more positive direction for me, and over the last couple of days, I have spent time helping a new friend...
My new friend is a 71 year old chap who, among many sterling qualities, has a bad case of the 'Oo I'll Save That, It Might Come In Handy's', and while being Asset Rich and an avid and knowledgeable Collector, is also Organisationally-Challenged and at the present moment, Cash Poor....
In short, not to prevaricate or beat about the (rather overgrown) bush in a euphemistic and circumlocutory fashion any longer.... he is a Massive Hoarder....
Over some years, the Old Boy has managed to fill - quite literally - almost every room in his house; the attic, 3 shipping containers and several sheds and improvised lean-to's on his land, plus a large trailer home he owns elsewhere, with... stuff...
It's - at least partially- not crap either (mercifully!); there are antiques, vintage things, brand new tools, several cars, bicycles, just every kind, size and description of every type of Thing you could possibly imagine (and usually, a collection of any given item), piled floor to ceiling, front to back, in a riotous jumble consisting mostly of un-labelled and anonymous cardboard boxes... He does periodically sell off bits and pieces, but generally the balance appears to be tipped firmly in favour of acquiring and keeping stuff, at present....
Despite knowing that he owns several iterations of every conceivable object ever created by the hand of man, funnily enough the Old Boy can very rarely find anything... so

FYI: it's very, very, very long and I apologize for that. If you get to the end, however, make sure you hit the comments I've left as well.
I'm curious to know what you all think. Thanks
Searching for a talented artist to do artwork at a tavern for a firbolg druid, a human bardbarian, a Genasi rogue, an elven King, a drunken Aasimar and a fiery tiefling sorcerer, a DM bartender. Please DM me your work and style. I can afford about $150 total for it. Thank you for your time.
Paper Mario: Countdown to Chaos (later renamed to βThe Rewind Chroniclesβ) was a massive fan project for the vision of a paper Mario game for the WiiU/Switch in the turn based style of TTYD that I remember very fondly. I remember reading about it for hours back in 2016 in the hopes that Nintendo would make a game similar to it one day. I wanted to read about it again today for nostalgia, but it seems all the pages about the game like the fan-made tattle log and the plot page have been deleted from places like neotendo wiki and super Mario fanon wiki. Does anyone know what happened to the project?
Update: Thank you all for the answers. It was exactly what I was looking for. I knew Rewind Chronicles was always meant to be just a fanfiction but I believe I didnβt make that clear in the original post. Itβs also very nice to know that project Astra is a thing. Iβll definitely check it out when I have the time. Also, since TruckSquared themselves were here: great work on everything you made for the project. I was a bit bummed to find out you stopped working on it, but thatβs life. Keep up the good work and good luck to you in any future projects.
Jumps and Flumps making a break for it
The day had an ominous glow to it, as two teams of plucky individuals set out on the great journey in pursuit of the most distasteful of lunar prizes: the Bad Moon Cup.
The goblins won the toss and elected to receive first (someone really should check the coin they keep using for the toss), blatantly walking onto the field with a wide array of nefarious gadgets, some of which were hissing softly. Starting as they meant to go on, the goblins grouped up on a fallen chaos warrior and knocked him out for the half. The following turn, Shifty Kev, long considered by his coach a few buttons short of a breastplate, took it upon himself to attack a hulking great minotaur with the chainsaw he was carrying. Evidently he had yet to learn to use it properly, as he managed to hit the massive brute with the blunt end and merely knock him out. In fact, fans were most disappointed at the wet noodles that had been served up as blood bowl players, as no fewer than ten knock outs were recorded during the match without anyone being injured at all.
The first half hung in the balance as the beastmen surrounded the goblins and based their ball carrier with three chaos players. In order to escape, Jumps and Flumps was actually recorded leaping over the heads of the opposing players upon what the ref had been assured was merely an oversized walking aid, and raced off to safety as fast as he could. The goblins managed to score a touchdown on the final turn of the first half, upon which the ref promptly sent off half their team.
Both sides now down players, and the goblins having no more tricks up their rags, the second half looked to be interesting. Graham the Troll manged to knock out again the opposing minotaur, lending weight to the semantic overlap between warm milk and sleeping, and a timely blitz from an uncharacteristically lithe Top Guy Kev sent the ball spinning away from the beastmen into the hands of the goblins once again. The ball was once again handed to Jumps and Flumps, who raced it off down the field. Despite being flung to the ground by another warrior, he manged to pick up the ball again and touchdown in the final turn for a victory!: Goblins 2-0 Chaos

Chaos Chronicles was a side scrolling RPG Gacha but each unit had a skill that need to be actively used. Timing and cooldown management was really important. It's also active combat but not auto-cast like games like King's Raid, Dungeon Hunter Champions, and Star Ocean.
The game died. Any other games like it around?
Hey everyone Arkanis from Mono here. I have a thread on the main forum with a bunch of my suggestions and some major bugs. Feel free to comment here and i'll update the post on the main forum.

Major Bugs
General Suggestions
2x speed in tower. I know why you don't want auto, but not having 2x speed makes no sense at all.
2x speed in arena. It's already auto so what the heck is the difference?
GIVE US FILTERS FOR HERO LIST. Currently we can only choose hero type. Give us filters such as sort by hero level and things like that.
Set channel 1 as default for chat (1, 2, 3). The game looks completely underpopulated when you first sign in.
PVE ramps up too quickly. 7-6 is the beginning of the hard stages but the shift in difficulty is very extreme especially when it takes so much time to make a 6*
Add different ways to achieve rank up items. Maybe as a rare random drop in raids
toggle heroes are severely under-powered due to the high necessity of skill cancel later in the story. In my opinion this is the biggest problem in the game right now. The AOE skill heroes and quick targetting heroes absolutely demolish those with toggle, regardless of what level they are. My 6* toggle heroes are never used, and instead are replaced with 4* that have skill cancels and stuns. I highly recommend looking at these heroes and figuring out either a) a way to make them stronger b) decreasing their mana usage c) giving them some % way to cancel skills d) have them recover mana quicker e) give them some kind of defense against perma stun
Allow us to use friends' leader. There's way too many roles to fill with all the skill cancels needed so we need some flexibility. Allowing us to use friends heroes will help a lot
Give guilds a purpose. At least allow a guild raid or something similar for now
Specific Heroes
Norg - increase his movement speed as a bear. He takes too long to enter the fray and becomes useless as a tank. He's one of the most tanky heroes in the game and ends up being used as back up instead. OR, a better fix would be to just have him hit multiple units while in bear form.
Sir Daniel - Decrease needed hits. He's currently useless and supposed to be a top hero (or I figure based on his 4* minimum). 80 hits makes him pointless in arena, raid and regular levels.
Translated Episode Synopsis:
Mother's Day: It's Mother's Day and Gumball, Darwin and Anais are desperately trying to find a gift for her.
Elmore's Most Wanted: In this episode we retrace Richard Watterson's life as an outlaw and the consequences on the local police force.
This is a thought that always comforts me. Time seems weird right now I know. The past year has dragged painfully, pushing people (and myself included) to their limits. When youβre going through trauma, you feel like itβs never going to end. Think of even a horrible set of exams you have to do, and youβre SO close to finishing them but your brain convinces you theyβll never end? And you have a long summer of partying after them to look forward to, the relief is unbelievable when youβve finished that last paper and you embrace that freedom with open arms.
The coronavirus epidemic will be the same, no matter what the media tries to convince you otherwise. Even think of this time last year just before shit hit the fan, lockdowns hadnβt really begun yet. The panic hadnβt set in yet. This horrible period hasnβt even been a year yet. But it feels like a lot, lot longer.
We have spend the vast majority of our lives covid and lockdown free (unless you were born in 2020 in which case I doubt you are reading this). On the scale of things, covid is a blip. We have turned the corner with the vaccines and the sun is about to come out and stay out longer every day. Every second, more and more people are becoming immune.
And after this, my god. Things are going to be SO MUCH FUN. people are going to run into each otherβs arms, crying with relief and joy. People are going to be smiling at strangers in supermarkets because theyβll be able to see their faces again, on that first day when masks are lifted. There will be victory day parades on the streets, even if itβs torrential rain, people are going to be kissing strangers. Festivals are going to be extended by an extra week to make up for all the lost partying that 2020 took from us.
There will be new kinds of events, parties, fashions, theatres, shows that we probably canβt even comprehend yet. The 9-5 Monday-Friday work week will be scrapped and our relationship with work will change forever in the best possible way. Parents will be working from home to see their babies grow up.
There will be a renaissance of new music, films, shows, art. A hug will mean so much more.
And I think all of this will happen in the next 365 days. And we will never ever take anything for granted again.
Guys, we are so close to the best days of our lives. Weβve made it this far, we are nearly there.
Life is going to be so fucking good after this and I can see it already.
Recently, Iβve played and finished Dishonored 2. I thought the story was okay in the sense that itβs nothing to lose my shit over, but I didnβt buy the game for the story, I bought it for the gameplay. I love the open ended level design that just begs you to replay it on NG+. Thereβs a great assortment of new weapons, powers, and a brand new playable character in Emily. Itβs a great game overall, but the low chaos system is not even remotely rewarding.
I donβt understand why this game loads you with a gun, sword, a variety of crossbow bolts, and deadly magical powers if the gameβs just going to shake its metaphorical head at me and give me the bad ending for using (most of) them. The game has excellent world building that it weaves into the plot via notes/books/etc, and it goes above and beyond to make it clear that the enemies that you kill are essentially traitors to the crown, a violent gang who would kill you whether you were a empress or a whore, soldiers of the country that conspired to dethrone you, and straight up evil witches. Regardless, killing them somehow makes you a worse person.
This would be fine if the game would give you a non lethal melee weapon, or a dedicated button for nonlethal strikes, but nope. Just a stealth chokehold and an inconsistent throat chop/chokehold combo to knock people out that sees me standing there blocking for no reason half the time.
TL:DR, Dishonored 2βs chaos system is like going to a barbecue and getting penalized for eating meat instead of almost exclusively eating potato salad.
