Seems like ever years he’s injured, and it’s hard to believe he’ll ever sustain the excellence we expect from him. Who is equal value to him, currently, considering his injury history? Or is he still a premium get and worth the risk?

Wondering what the current fair price should be if someone were to trade away RB Christian McCaffrey. He’s an elite talent and had a historic season in 2019, but he’ll be 26 before the season and is coming off of basically two lost seasons with injuries.
If now is the last chance to sell somewhat high, what’s a price you’d ask for and accept for CMC and be ok about it?
Well, now that season is over I’m curious to know how we all feel about him and where he lands. I can’t be the only one who is already getting sucked back into the cheat code that he can be. If you’re picking at the 1.08 and later and he’s there what’s your move ?
What would be a good price to buy/sell him at? Two first round picks?

As a CMC, Mike Trout, and Kevin Durant owner this year, when I saw the news of hamstring strain, all I could feel was devastation. I began thinking of some other star athletes who it took a long long time to return back.
I understand these are different sports (and in Trouts case, a different muscle completely) so this can mean little to nothing but it ALSO shows how other franchises are handling their star players in a similar scenario.
Basically, TLDR; this likely isn’t a 1-2 week injury
Kevin Durant
2/13/2021, Durant strains hamstring, Nets tell media he should be out a “few weeks.” Edit, same wording used today.
2/26, Durant suffers setback, ruled out for ASB. Expected back Mid-March
3/20, Durant still needs a few weeks until he starts practicing.
4/7, Durant finally returns to game action in limited role.
54 days in between the injury and when Durant returned to full strength.
Mike Trout
4/17, Strains calf running to 3rd* base. Ruled out 6-8 weeks.
7/26, 3 months later, Trout suffers setback in rehab.
8/30, another setback
10 days or so ago, Trout ruled out for the entire season.
Trout misses over 5 months of action
James Harden
4/4, Harden leaves game early with what is later determined to be a grade 2 hamstring strain. 40 days later, Harden returns in limited role to play 2 of final 4 regular season games.
Harden stays healthy for a few more weeks until infamously reaggravating the same hamstring vs Bucks in game 1.
