My short bio: I am Chris Huelsbeck, veteran video game composer. My career started as a teenager in 1986, when I won a C64 magazine contest with my composition “Shades”. I invented several technical innovations to push the sound limitations on systems like the C64, Amiga to game consoles. To date, I have composed music for nearly 100 projects such as Giana Sisters, Turrican, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Apidya, Dr. Who: Legacy, and I was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Game Audio Network Guild in 2010.
I’m currently creating “The Piano Collection”, in collaboration with pianist Patrick Nevian and co-producers Sound of Games. It’s an album and biographical Score Book containing my most well known game music work arranged for piano. More info here: http://www.huelsbeck.com/the-piano-collection
