A list of puns related to "Chris Carrabba"
I recently had Chris on my podcast List It, and he broke down his 10 favorite songs of the last 10 years ... He was a great interview and really opened up about the stories behind some of his own songs, recovering from his recent motorcycle accident, what it was like when he blew up in the early 2000s, and a bunch more: https://open.spotify.com/episode/7pJuj5brXwRQicVVXfWQZ3?si=sJox7yNHRZa7UAJVzwK_wA
Hope you dig it!
This story is crazy! In Chris's recent interview on the Vinyl Emergency podcast (ep#142), Chris described being a teenager and searching for music. He went into a record store and the clerk there pointed him to Fugazi, which ended up being a large musical influence for him. That store clerk ended up being Marilyn Mason ... before he was known by that name. So, Marilyn Manson helped shaped DBC, right? Crazy! There's more to the story, and the whole podcast is worth a listen (I'm not affiliated with it).
I remember Swiss Army and Places has a very unique almost open-chord tuning.
Its been a decade since I played a guitar, but I've always wondered if there's a story behind how he decided upon that as the foundation for most of his earlier songs.
heres the article , At the end he says:
(In regards to the emo revival) "I almost want it to slow down. The generation right after mine went too fast. It became derivative, became less potent. I will say there were bands that came right after me like Fall Out Boy that were more potent. And then there were bands that came after that were carbon copies of carbon copies. This, I hope, doesnβt happen again. It might but it feels less likely this time. "
Idk, I'm a huge Dashboard fan (Dusk and Summer am I right??) and its kinda cool to see he has respect for FOB as one of the better bands from the 00's scene.
