I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

-My History with Instant Noodles Packs: My parents came to the States poor as can be in the 70βs. The cheapest meals for us was instant noodle packs. During that time our city had one tiny Asian market and It was a blessing for my folks. Asian markets not only have amazing selections of cheap cuts of meat, fresh vegetables, but they have a HUGE selection of instant noodles packs.
-Why Iβm writing this: Iβm writing this bc Iβve been seeing a lot of people living of these packs right now to save money for shares or just donβt have a lot of money. I wanted to give some tips on how to make these packs more filling and different.
Tip #1 - Think out of the box. These packs are amazing. But theyβre more amazing if you think out of the box with them. Think about how you can make different meals with them. Add an egg. Spam. Fresh vegs. Stir fry. Eat them dry as a snack.
Tip #2 - Asian markets, farmers markets, farms or discount grocery stores. If youβre trying to save money but want something different, shop at these places, especially Asian marketsβ¦ As I mention before thereβs great selections of instant noodle packs. Donβt just settle for βchicken flavorβ. They tend to have cheaper cuts of meats. Fresh vegetables etc.
Tip #3 - Do not get Cup of noodles. These things are amazing, but if you cut them in half youβll see the true story. Youβre paying for all that packaging.
Tip #4 - Donβt settle for right out of the pack. Going back to tip #1β¦ youβll enjoy these packs more if you donβt settle for just noodles.
