A list of puns related to "Chicanery"
An interesting scene I havenβt seen mentioned here (Iβm sure it has been but I havenβt seen it) is when Chuck and Jimmy redo Chucks house to have his wife over for dinner. They go through a whole rise and make the house look normal even though Chuck has already been living without power and wants to hide this from his wife. During this conversation Chuck says that they had cut the power from his apartment, due to a billing mixup and them switching the numbers on his address.
Thought this was an interesting line of dialogue as it clearly mirrors the entire Mesa Verde problem at the center of Jimmy and Chucks plot lines this season.
Also very telling that Chuck is so willing to lie outside the confines of the law with that excuse, but Jimmy using that same lie against him, while obviously illegal, was too much for him.
Just shows that obviously while Chuck may not be a criminal, heβs still a liar and a bad person.
Jimmy says βso with the lights off you donβt feel itβ
(In reference to chuckβs problem)
Chuck says βas long as the current is not flowing, noβ.
Jimmy challenges Chuck about the fire exit signs in the room which are still lit, and Chuck explains the inverse square law means his affects from the exit signs so far away is minimal
Then Jimmy asks if Chuck could feel a tiny watch battery right next to his skin and Chuck says yes.
Chuck explains that when current is not flowing the effects are nothing, but also explains how a tiny watch battery near his skin would affect him.
Batteries only produce an insignificantly low amount of current with no load (I.e. not connected to anything). Probably way less than what would be experienced by ambient radio waves.
He knows about the inverse square law but does not understand that tiny unloaded battery has virtually zero current?
Is it likely the show made it like this to make chuckβs condition seem more bullshit?
Iβm working on a Lovecraft-inspired short story about the Inquisitor piercing together separate cases dealing with Chaos and time travel. I know that I want to present the story as glimpses of an epic storyline, but Iβm having trouble nailing it down. A cult devoted to Tzeentch sends one of its followers ahead in time via ritual to when an AdMech expeditionary fleet uncovers a xenos relic on a Tomb World. The entire AdMech fleet vanishes. The relic is implied to be the work of ancient Necron chronomancers, capable of firing laser-precise energy blasts backwards in time. Finally, the plot is thickened a final time with the confessions of a Remembrancer employee in a clandestine project to ascertain the exact locations of the Primarchs and the God-Emperor, not in the present, but the distant pastβ¦
Sound stupid? What are some other suggestions based on 40k lore and time travel?
Something that I think summarises the different personalities of the McGill brothers quite well is who they are being represented by in the Chicanery hearing.
Jimmy has Kim, his partner and future wife. They've been through thick and thin together and despite the drama of their relationship always have each other's backs when push comes to shove. This pairing is wholesome and nice, but professionally questionable especially considering how Jimmy talks about Kim in the tape.
Chuck has this guy. Completely new character to the show who none of the viewers, or characters as far as we see, have any connection to. Most importantly Chuck's interactions with him are almost entirely disagreement when the lawyer brings up Chuck's mental wellbeing. It's a purely professional pairing because that's what you'd expect from Chuck's rigid, rule abiding public persona.
I heard there should be 24 endings. I got C-7, where >!Grant gets away with murdering Julia and marries Chelsea, and Mayssn goes to a facility.!< Which ending did you guys get? Do you know which one can be considered the βbestβ or the βworstβ?
J Miley is a true genius, I love all her works sm :)
Whoβs with me
EDIT: after my audition, I recorded myself doing it again, just for fun.
Iβm a student in his first year at a major Canadian university; every year, the school does a βmajorβ production of a play, directed by a professor.
My schedule is already arguably too full to be in this play, so I saw this audition as an opportunity to act for fun, using one of my favourite monologues.
Turns out BCS is one of the professorβs/directorβs favourite shows, and he asked me to callbacks on the spot after I performed it.
I canβt really turn down this opportunity, which is awesome!
WHAT A SICK JOKE!!!
