Below is a list of the deltas awarded in this post.
Please note that a change of view is not necessarily a reversal, and that OP awarding a delta doesn't mean the conversation has ended.

I just watched Voyager s4e23 "Living Witness" in which a copy of the doctor's program is reinitialised 700 years in the future. SPOILERS AHEAD.
Voyager, in the historical record of the culture, were the aggressors in a war between two cultures. The cultures currently exist in a state of apartheid, or segregation. Following a race riot that destroys the museum of history and in which people are killed the doctor suggests that they delete his program in order to keep the faulty historical record and thus the status quo. The curator responds that that could mean the problems of the society continue for another 700 years, where each culture is blaming the other.
It's especially interesting today with the recent court ruling in the UK in favour of protesters who toppled the statue of slave trader Edward Colston. What the episode demonstrates is that reinterpreting historical documentation and our conception of historical figures is necessary, even essential to attempting to heal historical wounds between cultures.
It's quite something how this 20 year old show can be so current in such a rapidly changing culture
(I already know this is a very sensitive topic, but I would like to see a productive discussion, so please be respectful.)
According to an analysis by the University of Chicagoβs Project on Security and Threats, 93% of people arrested for charges related to the Capitol Riot are white. Additionally, a significant portion of defendants are from counties which have seen a decline in the share of non-Hispanic Whites within the population.
What role did race and race relations play in the Capitol riot, and the events leading up to it? What do such dramatic statistics say about race relations in America?
Just rewatched the ATM sketch with Sam Rockwell and had a good hearty laugh like the first time, wanted to see more of a similar theme. My top three:
βJob Interviewβ: Richard Pryor
βBlack Jeopardyβ: Tom Hanks
βStrollinββ: John Mulaney
I firmly believe that you canβt have regular people in the US/Europe who donβt know about anything regarding the Middle East just criticizing Islam without there being a racist subtext to it.
