A list of puns related to "Chat Noir"
Itβs actually insane how many people accept it and go along with it. And itβs totally unjustified. I understand that a lot of people find Chat Noir βcuteβ and βcharming,β but that doesnβt mean ladybug has to. She is entitled to her own feelings, and she likes Adrien. So when Chat Noir constantly flirts with her, despite how many times she rejects him, it is sexual harassment whether the community wants to accept that or not. She has respectfully said she is in love with someone else, and he continues to do it, so it is completely justified for her to get angry. Most of the time itβs in completely inappropriate situations, like a battle, and puts them both in danger. And when it constantly gets skewed in the news, it makes her uncomfortable, yet the community defends Chat Noir at any cost and bashes Marinette for not liking back someone she doesnβt have feelings for. If you want to comment on Marinetteβs stalker behavior, then fine. Go ahead and insult her for it. But donβt continuously give Chat Noir a free pass simply because you like him. Itβs completely one-sided.
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I donβt think she does. I donβt think itβs a matter of her not realizing her feelings or being too stressed as the guardian, but I think she simply views him as a work partner. She was uncertain of her feelings in Ephemeral once she finds out his identity, and it almost seemed like she only fell in love with chat because he was Adrien, not because she loved him separately from being Adrien. Adrien, however, seems to really care about Marinette, and he truly does just seem clueless about how to label his feelings towards her. I think he loves both sides of her but marinette doesnβt love both sides of him. The episodes like chat blanc and ephemeral show them together before marinette truly falls for chat, and Iβm hoping that the message of those episodes is that a relationship wonβt work between them until marinette is in love with Adrien as a whole.
I would honestly pick Chat noir, since her crush adrien only protected her once, while her partner in chrime has multiple times! Adrien has never done anything to cheer her up, when she is feeling down, Chat always tries to be there for her.. Sure chat has made a few mistakes, but its not his fault, he has to do stuff in his civilan form too..The poor cat dosen't deserve to be heartbroken by his lady. This is a personal opinion so don't come after me, its my choice. Let me know yours!
edit: *Miraculous. (my L key doesn't work very well)
[Reread the title in this blank space] that may or may not be already set up.
Now, as someone that occasionally likes looking at the brightside of things, there are some interesting scenarios where kitty goes bad. He could turn because his mom's tomb gets turned off so he picks up where dad left off (good), he finds out daddy is HawkMoth so he wants to get revenge for him (not as good as the last one). Then, there is that
This... scenario was and is being set up for all of season 4. Ladybug starts trusting the temporary heros more than Chat because she saw a bad future where him learning her identity killed everyone. Chat, however, dosen't know about that bad future so he thinks that his Lady just started to not trust him anymore and leave him in the dark. This isn't the first time Adrian has been left in the dark about something, so he starts growing more resentful and angry the more Ladybug trusts someone more than him. Chat noir turns evil because Ladybug left him alone.
No.
No, no.
No, no, no, god no, please no, NOOOOO
On paper, this reason for a villain arc isn't too bad (its still kinda bad ngl) but the actual context of Chat Noir's character makes it completely bad.
Kitty's a Nice Guy. He's been simping for one girl the whole show, and his reactions range from unbelieving indifference to actual anger when said girl straight up says she has feelings for someone else. Remember when I said "so he starts growing more resentful and angry"? What I mean was, so he starts destroying public property"! And that's not even the worst thing he's done! The worst thing he does is let Ladybug fight ice man (both of them) by herself because she didn't want to date him. Let me repeat, Chat Noir lets Ladybug fight people by herself, endangering innocent people and the girl he claims to love, because she has feelings for someone else and dosen't love him back. If Chat does switch sides, it wouldn't be a semi interesting villain arc, it would be the final step in his nice guy routine: 1) act "nice" to girl, 2) girl dosen't like me back, 3) act mean and nasty to girl while also gaslighting her for who is really in the wrong, 4) kill girl (which is something that a surprising number of nice guys try to do). Let me remind you all that cat and bug are endgame.
I know this is speculation based on set up, but this isn't the first time Chat's been crazy.
If I really did predict the future, kitty can go straight to heck
So Adrien is a famous model and has lots of fans, is obviously considered super attractive and has girls and boys drooling over him, So why doesn't Chat get similar attention? I know he's wearing a mask and has cat eyes but I doubt that would affect how attractive he looks. Compared to ladybug Chat seems lacking when it comes to fans and I honestly expected there to be more people swooning over a mysterious hero in black who likes to flirt. We do see some Chat fans but just not as much as I thought and not as much emphasis is put on them compared to ladybug fans.
Edit: it could be that I'm just missing them but we got a whole episode of a 17 yo crushing on ladybug and turning into an Akuma.
It's getting a bit tiring. Ladybug has had a lot of development since season 1: She's the new Guardian, can create anti-akuma charms, has unlimited access to power ups, a new costume (at least when she uses her lucky charm, for whatever reason), etc. But Char Noir... what has changed much about him? No new power ups or abilities, no new costume, no new responsibilities, etc. He's remained pretty stagnant throughout the entire series.
The show is called the Miraculous Tales of Ladybug AND CHAT NOIR, but it should really be called the Miraculous Tales of Ladybug feat. Her Trusted Sidekick Chat Noir, because that's what it feels like atm. Why does she get to reveal her identity when she gets overwhelmed, but Chat Noir doesn't? Why doesn't Ladybug think it's hypocritical for her to admit that she wouldn't have liked it had Chat revealed his identity? Why does Ladybug get to know the identity of Rena Rouge, but not Chat Noir?
A lot of people say they would have preferred Adrien to be the main character of the show and I can see where they're coming from, because I'll admit myself, I think it would have been so cool if he were. He's got a lot more going on in his life. A strict, emotionally absent, neglectful and abusive father who controls every aspect of your life is more interesting than having an overly obsessive boy crush.
However, I don't think that Adrien needs to be the main character to be a good one. He already is, even with the poor writing he's given. He just needs to actually be treated as Ladybug's equal. He needs to stop simping (I hate that word, but it's appropriate here) for Ladybug and grow a backbone rather than just blindly follow anything she says or does. You're a team, not Batman and Robin. It should be okay for him to question her decisions every once in a while, get upset with her when she does things without consulting him, actually be competent WITHOUT Ladybug. How many times has Chat fallen victim to one of the villains versus Ladybug?
I don't know if this will ever happen though given Thomas Astruc admitted the reason why Marinette is at the forefront is because he felt there were already enough male main characters in kids shows. I mean, he's not wrong, but you don't have to downsize your male lead in order to make your female one look good and vice versa. Just let them be equals. That's all people want.
So as most of us can agree the writers/creators did Adrien dirty. He's a really interesting character yet there's so much they didn't explore or do, they somehow created and extremely interesting and uninteresting character.
His dad is hawkmoth, the man terrorizing Paris, the man he's constantly fighting against yet doesn't know it. His mom who went missing is in a glass coffin in his house and is the whole reason his dad is hawkmoth. He was home schooled until recently, has his life scheduled out for him and has a neglectful father. Adrien is intelligent, goofy, flirty, caring and a jokester but has to put on a mask and hide most of that side of him.
This screams angst and drama. He also has the black cat miraculous, which has the power of destruction and is just asking for him as Chat Noir to be misunderstood.
The creators/writers barely explored any of this. They barely show any anger or frustration from Adrien aimed at his father or Adrien getting suspicious of Gabriel. They don't explore much of anything related to Chat Noir and have practically made him replaceable. They also seemed to forget that Adrien is in fact intelligent and is instead giving off vibes of the dumb blond stereotype.
Chat Noir is also constantly made to seem inferior to ladybug despite them supposed to be equals. They have Alya beating him in a fight easily even though she just became a full time holder and is new to the ladybug miraculous. They have him constantly getting taken down or under the control of Akumas from sacrificing himself or acting as a distraction. They also always have ladybug coming up with the plan with little to no input from Chat Noir.
Chat Noir isn't a partner, he's a replaceable sidekick. Alya is treated as more of a partner now than him and its sad. He's never felt like an equal to ladybug and was never really treated as such, this only got so much worse when ladybug became the gardian because now she has the authority to take his miraculous away. The whole situation feels dirty and wrong, especially now that Alya is practically a second gardian.
Marinette was also a very interesting character that was messed up. They practically forgot about her wanting to be a fashion designer up until wishmaker where they then changed that. They could have done so much with her fashion dream and Gabriel by having her idolize him just to realize he's controlling of Adrien and is hawkmoth. I also think them making her the gardian was a big mistake because that no
... keep reading on reddit β‘This weekend I went to Comic Con and the voice of chat Noir was there. I didnβt know at first that he was there but when I figure it out I knew I had to meet him. I meet him. Btw super nice. And while I was talking to him he told me something that just made me smile. He doesnβt have to do the cat puns but instead he purposefully tries to put as many as he can into the show. When I tell you I transcended in that moment. I love that man and work he does. But omg that was such an amazing day. Anyways I thought I should share. π
I know this com dislikes me because of my old theory on Adrien becoming hawk moth and Felix becoming the new chat noir (which I'm still hoping for) but come oooooon how is Felix's return episode not at least a little tempting that my theory might become somewhat possible ππ
No romantic ladrien marichat adrinette or ladynoir please ! Platonic love square is okay.
