A list of puns related to "Charles Tilly"
I think this is an important argument for why Huntington's insights are weak. I'm trying to understand this paragraph completely to use in my essay. Is Tilly trying to imply Huntington's insights are weak because his idea focuses on the domestic violence and instability being caused because of the institutionalization mobilization: adaptability, complexity, autonomy, coherence not pleasing society?

I see that he writes a lot about why states behave the way that they do, and that is due to competition with other states and the constant desire to defend one's self and also to take over and eliminate other states to secure the position of one's own state. His outlook on "the state" is that it is predatory.
He also talks much about what states do in order to be predatory in his list of the 4 things that states do: War-making, State making, Protection, Extraction.
While he does all of this, does he ever actually define "the state"? Surely he has, I can't imagine he hasn't since he's spoken in such length about something that is highly disputed in terms of definition; he'd need to define it to actually clear up any misconceptions on contradictions with the reader's own preconceptions.
Upon Google searching, I find an NYU powerpoint that I assume is from a POLS class, and it gives a definition, but it doesn't provide a citation, leading me to assume that whoever created the powerpoint created the definition for him by analyzing his theory.
If anyone knows the answer to this question, I'd greatly appreciate it!
There have been rumors of a possible expansion, so letβs imagine it does happen, but the NBA decides to only add one new team to the league (sorry Vegas), bringing back the beloved Seattle Supersonics. The Sonics are back babbyyyyyyyy!
Now the Sonics need to build their team from ground up, starting with the expansion draft, and following it with signing players in the off-season.
Here are some simplified terms of the expansion draft:

So I have a theory that Pearson could have possibly been an informant or 2nd Rat (because I still whole heartedly believe Micah was the primary rat).
First, we know his background with the navy, and he reflects on his time in the service very fondly. This could have made him someone unsuspecting and willing to cooperate with authorities, for the sake of βserviceβ.
Secondly the mission where you are meeting up with Colm Odriscall for the potential parley, was arranged by Micah and Pearson. But perhaps what peaks my interest the most was when the gang first arrives at Clemons Pointe. The first mission you have is to ride with Sadie and mail a letter to his βAunt Cathyβ. I think there is a chance he could be related to Catherine Braithewaite. Now I am not sure if the letter could have been code for a status update on the gang or just a correspondence. Perhaps what seals it for me is when Pearson asks for the Naval Compass as a part the companion items you collect. And where do you find it? At the docks at Braithewaite Manor.
There are a few other suspicious incidents that may tie to Catherine-Pearsonβs connection.
After the mission where you steal the moonshine and you arrive with Hosea at the manor. Catherine seems to know everything that has happened to that point. She knows the moonshine is hers and also that the Grays were behind that setup. The same canβt be said for the Grays whenever you sabotage them. You would think since the Grays run the whole town if anyone has info on the gangs whereabouts , it would be the Grays.
Then there is Jackβs kidnapping. While we could say John and Abigail werenβt the best parents, It seems like with all those people around also looking out for Jack, he couldnβt have been taken so quietly by a stranger. I believe Pearson could have been an aid to the kidnapping since he was a trusted member of the gang. No one would have suspected anything odd. He would know exactly how/when to make that move quietly and Jack would have listened.
Fast forward to the epilogue. So we know most of those low key gang members managed to escape and live a normal life afterwards (ie, Sadie, Tilly, Marybeth, and Charles) but Pearson seems to have gained a significant sum of money that allowed him to buy that shop in Rhodes . I believe the he could have gotten this money either from 1.) a payment for cooperating with the authorities or 2.) Inherited Catherine Braithewaite s fortune, since she would have had
The votes are in and we have some data to share with you! More to follow once we have cleaned and curated a bit more, but this is just the teaser.
In the end it seems as if the 80% threshold worked for both branches of the Hall as 7 each of men and women succeeded in reaching that mark! We adjusted the requirements to reflect ballots submitted, 34 for the men's branch of the Hall and 17 for the women's branch, rather than registered voters, 51 and 25 respectively.
The men's branch of the Hall saw 173 riders receive at least one vote and the women's branch had 63 riders receive at least one vote.
There are plenty more facts and figures to come in the near future, including the inaugural class, but for now here are the riders who received at least one vote, but who were named on less than 50% of the ballots:

Charles Tilly's argument that "states make wars, and wars make the state," implies that the most productive and profitable means of interaction between states is war. Is this quote still a relevant claim in society today? Or, have political interactions expanded beyond the art of war and towards different practices of cooperation?

I hope he maintains the momentum of the first season and doesnβt lose sight of the main conceit: people being terrorized by a killer doll who curses.
No more adding mythology to the night Charles died. Tiffany is great but please keep the Jennifer Tilly references to a minimum. I think Kyle should stay dead, because who could survive being that close to the explosion? It would be an underwhelming finish for that character. But the gloved hand shows that sheβs still alive.
And why hasnβt Chucky kept his word on going after Mike Norris? Heβs the one who started all of this!

... keep reading on reddit β‘Can someone please help me find the Authentic comprehensive list of songs in the game?
There's this Wiki Page listing the music tracks. Then there's this YT video too. I don't know what else is authoritative. But neither one has the following
I have no idea how many more I am missing. I do know Chapter 6 Camp has Quite a few fireside songs but I must have missed them.
Does anyone know why there's not mention of any of this in the wiki or Official soundtrack? I also listened on Spotify for what they have. It too is missing this.
I'm trying to figure if it's worth the effort to fly American from the US to Paris and then Ryanair from Beauvis-Tillis to Pisa, Italy. Is it possible? Has anyone successfully done this before? Thanks!
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Iβm reading the script for the first movie and something popped out at me.
Mike Norris (the cop) tells Andyβs mom that Charles Lee Ray and Eddie Caputo were known for kidnapping women, torturing them, and then killing them.
We have seen this with Chucky and Tiffany where they kill a woman from a bar and then later she walks in on him killing another woman, and of course he tried to kill Nicaβs mom.
Thereβs also clearly a sexual appeal to killing for both him and Tiffany as we have also seen.
Chucky also doesnβt care about consent given he was stopped from molesting Jennifer Tilly by Tiffany walking into the room.
So it got me thinkingβ¦. Chucky was probably a rapist.
Idk. I feel like itβs one of those Freddy Krueger things, where the film doesnβt outright say Freddy was a rapist and pedophile but itβs heavily implied
EDIT: Chucky is 100% a rapist. He intended to rape Karen once he put his soul into Andyβs body (once Andy grew up).
During the 17th century, Sweden would become a major European power, led by King Gustavus II Adolf. Referred to as Gustavus Adolphus the Great, it was during his 21 year reign that he would lead Sweden into the forefront of the thirty years war, enjoying great military success. Often celebrated as one of the finest military commanders in history, he is posthumously remembered as having a large influence on Protestantism in Europe, with many landmarks and buildings named after him in modern Europe.
Gustavus was born the eldest son of Charles IX, inheriting the throne at just sixteen in 1611. He was so young that congressional concessions had to be made to the Riksdag (the Swedish Assembly) in order to be granted full governmental control. Along with the throne, Gustavus inherited a number of wars from his father. Charles IX had usurped the throne from Sigismund III, his nephew and also the king of Poland. This resulted in intermittent war with Poland for over 60 years, until 1629. Charles had also attempted an invasion of Russia to put his younger son on its throne, provoking another war with Denmark along the way. The usurpation of the throne also caused much tension with the religious authorities. Combined with the constant and expensive warfare, it made for a very tense internal and external situation for Gustavus.

Inheriting three wars in 1611, Gustavus first made peace with Denmark, giving up Swedenβs only port city of Γlvsborg in the treaty of Knared in 1613. This caused widespread hatred of the Danish in Sweden, and Gustavus would be wary of Denmark ever since. The war with Poland over the Swedish crown would remain largely inactive, aside from small expeditions. This would leave Russia as the sole war of Gustavusβ concern. It was here that he would learn the skills of warfare, forcing Russia to sign the disadvantageous treaty of Stolbova in 1617, succeeding land to Sweden. Internally, Gustavus got along extremely well with the Assembly, thus being able to establish a working relationship going forward within the Swedish government. During his reign, he saw many new positions developed in the state, as well as new economic possibilities being pursued. In 1620, Gustavus married Maria Eleonora of Brandenburg.
Gustavusβ reign would be characterized by his involvement in the thirty years war. Modern debate surrounds his m

RDR2 story DLC: Tales Of Tacitus Kilgore.
The concept : Short stories about every member of the gang during the story. I didn't put certain members like Pearson or Mary-Beth, but we can easily find them an interesting story while they go in town.Keep in mind that for me, a mission can be calm, without any gunfight, just a narrative experience.
Chapter 1:
- Playing as John during the Blackwater robbery until his rescue by Arthur & Javier
- Playing as Sean (or Mac?) during his escape until his capture by the authorities
Chapter 2:
- Playing as Lenny during his mission with Micah at Strawberry
- Playing as various members for little substories (For example Sean and Karen going on a little heist together, like Bonnie & Clyde...)
Chapter 3:
- Playing as Hosea with the Braithwaite and "the goddamn cribbage game"
- Playing anyone while Arthur is on bed rest during chapter 3, doing missions for the Braithwaite and Grays (Javier, Bill... Even Tilly said she wanted to steal the old man in Rhodes... )
Chapter 4:
- Playing as Kieran after he gets captured by the O'Driscolls, struggling to try to escape, managing to flee, returning to Shaddy Belle, only to be captured just before being seen by the Van Der Lindes.
- Playing as Mary-Beth, searching for Kieran around camp
- Playing as Sadie while she hunts the O'Driscolls after the attack of Shaddy Belle
Chapter 5:
- Playing as Sadie who helps the gang members to escape from Shaddy Belle
- Playing as Charles while he runs out of St Denis
- Playing as Abigail with Charles, stealing the bodies
- Playing a drunk Uncle, wandering around Saint Denis, could be very funny, until he finds YouKnowWho
Chapter 6:
- Playing as Micah during the beginning of chapter 6, gathering informations and meeting with YouKnowWho
- Playing as Dutch doing things with Eagle Flies
- Playing as the Reverend as he sneaks out of the camp to the train station... this could be a very narrative scene in which we see his doubts and fears of leaving the gang now that he has a sane mind...
- Playing as Karen protecting Mary-Beth and Uncle when they left the camp.
- Playing as Susan protecting camp from Pinkertons + Playing Tilly when she saves Jack +
