They were testing the system and they accidentally sent out a message to all those students that they’d received a scholarship, when in fact none of them had. They’ve agreed to honor them all, but still. Crazy.

Met Billy at some apartment party way back in 2013 or 2014 when he played with Don Julien at the Soaring Eagle casino. I didn't know who he was at the time. Now I'll never forget meeting him, and he let me play his guitar for a few minutes, drunk , on the steps of the place. I wonder if any of y'all were there or not? Good times, even better memory.

We are looking for a new colleague for an open rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) position in Business Communication at Central Michigan University. An advantage of this position is that you are essentially teaching professional and technical communication in a business school setting.We teach courses in social/ digital media, visual communication, intercultural communication among others. We are a union school, so requirements for tenure are clear and transparent and salaries are generally pretty good.
Our department is an interdisciplinary environment where you can regularly collaborate with colleagues on research. For instance, recently we published articles in technical communication journals (e.g. TCQ, JTWC. JBTC, and CDQ) with our colleagues in information systems, data analytics, and cybersecurity. We are friendly to cross-disciplinary explorations (and our chair also has a Ph.D. in rhetoric and professional communication), so our department is ideal for people who like exploring different areas of business and technical communication.
